That site uses the wallpaper ad feature, which reduces the content area width. So, yes, you can easily have the site use that width by setting a wallpaper ad, or just setting a 1×1 transparent gif as the wallpaper ad, which would set the content area to that width, but without any ad being displayed.

The wallpaper ad is one large ad that sits behind the content and is wide enough to appear on both sides of the margins. The top space is a separate leaderboard ad that can be used without the wallpaper ad.

Ok, in your wallpaper demo the top appears to be part of the wallpaper image. Is that one image covering that whole area?

It’s actually two separate images (wallpaper and leaderboard ad), but I laid everything out so it looks like it’s all one image.

You can use an iframe embed code to display in place of the Featured Images on posts. You can also disable the Featured Image on individual posts or all posts, and insert whatever code you want into the body of the post.

I have only tested YouTube and Soundcloud embeds with the Featured Video feature, so I cannot guarantee that your custom code will work 100%. But as I mentioned previously, you can certainly insert the code at the top of the body of the post and disable the Featured Image from displaying in the post.

I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you are asking if you can remove the widgetized area above the “More New” section on the Zox News homepage, then you can easily remove the widget area from within the Theme Options.

Yes, I do plan on updating the theme with the new version of the plugin, but as long as you have followed the instructions in the documentation for registering the plugin, you should be able to automatically update the plugin.

1) That area within the Featured Posts section is not a widget area, so you will not be able to customize what is displayed there. If you want to use a different Featured Posts layout, you can choose another one. But you can add widgets to the sidebar toward the bottom of the homepage and choose what categories you want displayed there.

2) I can give you some code to remove the date from the theme.

Unfortunately, I hve not tested any of those plugins with the theme, so I can’t guarantee that they are 100% compatible. Though, I am not aware of any conflicts with any of them.

Yes, the same exists in Zox News as well, as you can see on the demo where no posts are repeated from the Featured Posts section in any other areas. In fact, if a post is prominently displayed anywhere on the homepage, it will not be displayed anywhere else below.

You can easily disable the teaser posts from within the Theme Options. The switch from The League to Zox News should be seamless. You should only need to run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, but everything else should be relatively straightforward and carry over. The custom post templates may stay the same number, but the actual template will change based on what that post template looks like in Zox News.
