Pre-sale question Can I use your templates in other themes like visual composer/ WP builder?

Ive noticed some header conflicts with your theme that urgently needs fixing:
1. On my homepage (call this page 1) I have a transparent header with a full screen nectar slider, this works perfectly.
However on another page (call this page 2) I also want a full screen nectar slider, but this time I dont want a transparent header so I selected ‘Disable Transparency From Navigation’.
When I viewed this page, the Nectar Slider image wasnt full screen anymore, instesd it had some white space on the bottom of the screen, under the nectar slider.
The arrow from the Nectar Slider was touching the white space, but on page 1 there was still some of the image showing under the arrow and fitted perfetly full screen.
2. To work around the above issue Ive tried to fix the issues by turning off ‘Use Transparent Header When Applicable?’ in the main Sallient headings.
This fixed ‘page 2’ so the Nectar Slider was now perfectly full screen with solid header and no weird white space at the bottom of the slider BUT ‘page 1’ now also has a solid header…
So I went ro remove the solid header on Page 1 by ging into the backend of the homepage to select ‘Force Transparency On Navigation’ but that option AND’Disable Transparency From Navigation’ and ‘Transparent Header Navigation Color’ had all disappeared!!!
Those options had vanished! (the options abbove that were still there). I realised the options vanish when you turn off ‘Use Transparent Header When Applicable’ from the main Salient options.
- Due to this I have no option making the header on my homepage transparent!
There is obviously some huge conflict going here and the menu options are NOT working properly.
WHAT I NEED YOUR HELP WITH (and I am sure many other people will agree):
a) Code to have an option to make certain pages on my site to ahve a SOLID HEADER instead of TRANSPARENT when we have ‘Use Transparent Header When Applicable?’ selected to ON.
b) How to fix the NECTAR SLIDER so it is properly full screen if I wanted a SOLID HEADER when the ‘Use Transparent Header When Applicable’ is switched on.
c) Im also happy to not have ‘Use Transparent Header When Applicable’ switched on, but will need code from you so there is a option for particaur pages to have a transparent header.
Hey alisonleon, I currently can’t replicate the issue locally of the Nectar Slider not rendering fullscreen when disabling the transparent header effect – can you please share your actual URL so I can see your theme settings in order to test again?

Hey alisonleon, that should only occur when using a legacy skin in combination with the “Header Resize On Scroll” effect (set from the theme options > header navigation > animation effects tab). For now, you could either change the skin to the latest one (material) from the theme options panel > general settings tab or I could provide you a copy of the current beta which also will fix this issue for the older skins. Could you kindly share your URL in regards so I can take a further look to assist?

I changed the skin to the ‘material’ skin and that worked, so thank you.
My only small request, when I click on the down arrow using the Nectar Slider on both pages 1 and 2, the arrow doesnt scroll to the botton of the slider, it seems to stop halfway, shouldnt this scroll to the botton of the slider?

Hi, i have spent much more time to fix all the pages. I’m afraid to upgrade next time. I think I will not do it any more unless we have to do heavy work on the customer’s site.

This works for hiding the price and button, but I am unsure of how to apply it only to specific products.

Yes you could also hide it with CSS – you can use the custom CSS box available on each product page within the page builder

I am trying to hide the price and add to cart button on the shop and category pages for certain products. The code you linked me to works for hiding the price.
But I am struggling with hiding the add to cart button, the code I have found online doesn’t see to work.

Hello, we’re having an issue with a white gap above the footer and below the last image / content on the site across all pages – example: https://little.voyage
It is wider on mobile and we have added the custom CSS:
.body[data-bg-header=\”true\”] .container-wrap { padding-bottom: 0px !important; }
There might be something wrong with the CSS, as we’re still getting the white space – any ideas?

It looks like there are two empty columns sitting outside of page builder rows by themselves at the bottom in the markup: https://imgur.com/a/j8YApQy they need to be removed to clear that little bit of extra space you’re seeing – can you check in the classic mode editor at the bottom to see if you notice any stray columns?

Hi Theme Nectar,
I’ve noticed that the browser is not using the correct srcset feature images in the blog feed on this site: hhhhappy.com
When the image is inspected I can see the srcset image are being created, but regardless of screensize the browser is always choosing the large 900px image – this is of course not goof for page size / page load times.
We have many other sites using salient (and using the blog module) where the browser is correctly choosing the appropriate srcset image.
Any advice re this much appreciated.

Hey radisafi, it appears the correct sizes attribute is not getting set for the sourceset – though I can’t replicate this locally when using the classic masonry style. Can you ensure that you’re using a relatively current version of Salient? (i.e. 8.0+)

If you use the field “Custom Thumbnail Image” in the “project configuration” metabox, no cropping will occur for your images so any custom aspect ratio can be used. However, if you’d prefer to still have your images cropped to a different dimension you’d need to edit the “nectar_add_image_sizes” function in the functions.php file and then run this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

How do I set font colors for the different headers: H1 H2 H3 etc? Specifically, I’m trying to have one line of text (H4) in a Portfolio entry’s title (which hovers over the masonry thumbnail which link as a Lightbox gallery) be a different color than another line in that same field (H3). The different header tags work there, just not sure where to set header font colors. Don’t see a global option in the Salient Typography tab. Thanks!

I would love to use the Custom Content Grid item, but then my thumbnails don’t display and thus my videos don’t launch. I’m trying to use the portfolio as a Lightbox gallery. Any work-a-rounds to either give me control over the H4 color without using custom content grid OR… how to get my videos to launch while using custom content grid.
Bonus question: How can I get my Vimeo embeds to autoplay? I add the &autoplay=1 line to the Embed code. When I copy the http address into a browser it will autoplay the video, but not in Lightbox.

1. In that case, when editing your project have you also tried the “Project Title Color” field in the Project configuration metabox?
2. Switch your theme lightbox script to “fancyBox3” in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab

The issue with #1 is I want my Project Title to have 2 colors/2sizes of text shown over the portfolio thumbnails. Bigger white text / then under that Slightly smaller Gray sub-title text. The “Project Excerpt” almost gets me there, but unfortunately it places the excerpt text above the Title text in the thumbnails. Is there a place where I could change the Salient Default H4 color? That’d give me the control I’m looking for.

Our website needs to be online soon but have some issues with the mobile version.
Mobile burger menu – I don’t really like this option and want to keep the navigation menu on mobile screen as the same like the desktop. For desktop I have the “Centered Logo Between Menu” option chosen and on mobile screen as well as other smaller mobile screens, I want the menu to automatically convert to “Centered Menu Alt” option.
