Hi! I would like to have on every (woocommerce) category page a different sidebar. This to add filtering options for only the products in that category.
And also to not have on every category a sidebar, for example when there are no filtering options, than is a sidebar not neccesary.
Do you have any idea or tips?

There are few font awesome icons missing on search library, is there any way we can use the font awesome values directly or it can be included on theme?

We are using Salient theme Version: 8.5.6 but cannot see icons like Magento, PHP which are there on Font Awesome. Example font https://fontawesome.com/icons/magento?style=brands or https://fontawesome.com/icons/php?style=brands
Hey sniro, Salient and WPBakery page builder are using 4.7 of font awesome – they completely changed the markup for icons in 5.0 and updating would break all user sites that are current making use of 4.7 icons. If you want to update on your own site, you’d need to use the javascript shim they’re offering: https://fontawesome.com/how-to-use/on-the-web/setup/upgrading-from-version-4
Guys im having an issue with the link format of the post, for some reason the layout seems to be messed up, the title doesnt display, and i cant seem to get a featured image to show up in the layout.
I seriously dont understand how you dont have the same layout as the normal blog for the link post type and just have a link icon instead or readmore
Hey rafferjr, the link format in Salient is designed to turn an entire post within the post grid into a link as shown in the various demos:

If you’d like to modify that, you’d need to edit the includes/post-templates/entry-link.php file in regards.

When using a page header image on a portfolio item, I find my image/page load time very slow and just shows the black background colour. My image size is around 1600px wide and around 200-300kb. Is there any way to speed this up?

i just want to hide adminbar in the frontend. but only hide for the administrator, for users and other groups .. the admin bar stay hide and close but the backgroud black in following the spot of adminbar can show, this so disturbing, and can not be hide normally like the administrator groups, how to hide and please FIX this BUG!

Is there an option to align the tab text to fırther left? It’s already aligned left actually but not exactly what I want. There is Custom Heading text right on top of the tab section and the first tab text does not look aligned with the top heading text. It is acceptable on big windows but on mobile it doesn’t look nice.

Does the shopping cart number in the menu not show for everyone else on mobile? Ie, you have “1” item in your cart, doesn’t show the number on mobile, but does on PC. I assume its a bug. Anyone have a fix?

Older theme skins don’t show that, but the latest (material) does. Simply switch to it in the Salient options panel > general settings tab to get that functionality

Hey guys, We have updated to the latest version of WooCommerce and of course Salient theme. However our cart page is a mess because of very out of date files. Just wondering what the story is here?
salient/woocommerce/cart/cart-shipping.php version 2.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.2.0, salient/woocommerce/cart/cart-totals.php, salient/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 2.3.8 is out of date. The core version is 3.4.0, salient/woocommerce/cart/shipping-calculator.php version 2.0.8 is out of date. The core version is 3.4.0,

Hey Dave,
The cart directory was removed a few releases ago and if it lingered around in your setup post updating, it would indeed cause issues. You can safely remove or rename it (salient/woocommerce/cart) to clear the issue

That’s exactly what the problem was! I must over overwritten the files rather than remove the directory and replace when i upgraded the theme… so retained the Cart templates. Thanks again for the assistance!

Hi TN,
When activating full screen rows, the #links dont seem to work any longer.
I.e. when I have a row which is labeled work, I usually am able to direct visitors to that row by linking to #work.
But when I enable full screen rows, this linking function appears to be no longer working.
Is there any chance to still link to certain rows by using either the #-links of some other form of links?

PS. also the “pricelist” for some reason leaves out the first and the last “pricelist” tabs on the iPad mini / smaller tablets? Is there a bug? I have the latest version of Salient installed

1. There’s an option in the “Page full screen rows” metabox on your edit page screen to “Disable On Mobile” – that would be the only way to bring the mobile scrolling back to the default functionality.
2. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:
.using-mobile-browser .nectar-fancy-ul[data-animation="true"] ul li { opacity:1; left: 0; }

Hi Guys – love the salient theme! This has been mentioned, but could I get a current update on what requirements Salient (WP) and its associated plugins etc need to be to work with PHP 7?
