We are using Salient theme Version: 8.5.6 but cannot see icons like Magento, PHP which are there on Font Awesome. Example font https://fontawesome.com/icons/magento?style=brands or https://fontawesome.com/icons/php?style=brands

Hey sniro, Salient and WPBakery page builder are using 4.7 of font awesome – they completely changed the markup for icons in 5.0 and updating would break all user sites that are current making use of 4.7 icons. If you want to update on your own site, you’d need to use the javascript shim they’re offering: https://fontawesome.com/how-to-use/on-the-web/setup/upgrading-from-version-4

I seriously dont understand how you dont have the same layout as the normal blog for the link post type and just have a link icon instead or readmore

Hey rafferjr, the link format in Salient is designed to turn an entire post within the post grid into a link as shown in the various demos:

Only the post content box will get output as it allows for more text i.e. more flexibility if you want to write a short blurb about the link instead of only using the post title. If you’d like to modify that, you’d need to edit the includes/post-templates/entry-link.php file in regards.

As of now that would require a mod to the includes/post-templates/entry.php file at this section:

Older theme skins don’t show that, but the latest (material) does. Simply switch to it in the Salient options panel > general settings tab to get that functionality

The cart directory was removed a few releases ago and if it lingered around in your setup post updating, it would indeed cause issues. You can safely remove or rename it (salient/woocommerce/cart) to clear the issue

That’s exactly what the problem was! I must over overwritten the files rather than remove the directory and replace when i upgraded the theme… so retained the Cart templates. Thanks again for the assistance!

1. There’s an option in the “Page full screen rows” metabox on your edit page screen to “Disable On Mobile” – that would be the only way to bring the mobile scrolling back to the default functionality.

2. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

.using-mobile-browser .nectar-fancy-ul[data-animation="true"] ul li { opacity:1; left: 0; }

You’re not addressing the problem. All you’re doing is looking at the easy and obvious. I need your help!!! Study my website first. The side mobile canvas at 1000px kicks in and works fine on a desktop all the way down to 335px screen width. BUT when I view the site on a smartphone in portrait or landscape the hamburger link does NOT work. I do have menu links, but I am hiding them from the main top horizontal navigation. 2nd Problem: The form fields do not work on both forms. This is a one page landing page. My anchor links are built in the top banner. Please study the problem!! I need your help.
