Pre purchase questions. I noticed your checkout uses a page so you can still see the header, menu etc. Can I also use the default shopify landing page where its just the checkout with cart list on right and address etc on the left?

We’ve reinstalled theme but still it’s not working all the time. Promo banner doesn’t work at all. Even if you are lucky enough to get to the basket (after 3-4-5 touches on every element), you can’t complete the buying process. I purchased your Basel shopify theme yesterday and wanted to hopefully submit a bug report with regards to the ‘Search by Category(collection)’ action within the ‘With categories menu’ Header Design template using the ‘electronics’ or ‘furniture’ demo setups..

First of all I think the POST variable of ?product_cat=... is a carryover from the WooCommerce theme Basel is based on and is not valid and unnecessary on the shopify platform. I do see plenty of other stores (google search the variable name) that use it, albeit unnecessary or incorrect. I think by simply having the /collections/ URL target, the ‘category’ filtering is done by that alone.

Next is the wordage/language used to enable/disable the category search functionality within the Admin interface under == OTHER __ Search Widget .. The ‘search by category’ checkbox I think is actually enabling the category navigation pane code, and the ‘Select select category’ is what enables the searchbar to present the category drop downs, eventhough the description is (and the checkbox is defaulted to off in all of the demo stores) “Disables select categories in search bar” Which I think is the opposite.. Maybe update both of these checkbox options?

Last issue and somewhat a significant one, when the categories are enabled and displaying, (I tried both manual and automatic category display generation)—When I select a category and perform a search, the first search result window is accurate, and displays my search term with the proper category pre-selected in the seachbar dropdown, but if I search again, the selected category is not used or passed correctly, and the second search is across the entire store.

In the meta-data tabs below the product… how do I create columns within this area? (Description, Additional Info, etc) I would like to display the description of my product in two columns similar to how you have done it in some of the demo products.

1. Is there a way to display the “Suggested Products (pop-up)” on a location other than the lower left side of the screen, & for there to be a break in between each popup? Currently the only timing setting is for how long a product is displayed before quickly switching to the next.

2. I have enabled the Basel Stock Countdown but it does not seem to display onto the product page or anywhere?
