Hello, I’m running into a strange issue. A black box is being added to the background of any “Google Font Custom Heading” when the text is long. Is there anyway to fix this?

1. Can you please check the design options tab inside of your custom heading element settings to verify that no background color has been set?
2. Unfortunately that’s not possible as of now without custom development as of now
3. I’m not seeing any screenshots attached to this comment in regards – are you referring to the scrollbar not allowing you to scroll down in that section?
4. There’s also no option built into the theme for that, custom scripting + additional css would be needed in order to achieve that

But I’m having a minor issue.
If you look at my blog posts page: http://27s.5c4.mwp.accessdomain.com/, you’ll see my link posts open in a new tab, not a page on my site, which is what I want them to do.
But when I go to my homepage (http://27s.5c4.mwp.accessdomain.com/magazine-blog-landing/) the link posts open to a page on my site, which is not ideal.
Why is it doing this?

Hey Hernan,
Unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible as of now given the WP limitations on shortcode attributes. The bio is saved as attribute “team_member_bio” on the shortcode which you can see when going into the classic editor view. The social icon option at the bottom was added in to allow for some related links to each team member

Please verify that you have the “Overall Form Style” set to “Inherit from theme skin” in the Salient options panel > form styling tab. If you do and you’re still seeing an issue, please share the URL in regards so I can take a look

I’m using Salient with Woocommerce. My products are getting a lot of reviews so the page scrolls down endlessly. Is there a way to set a limit to how many reviews can show on the page and add pagination and “next” button so the user doesn’t have to scroll down hundreds of reviews? It looks like a mess too. Thanks.
Nevermind. Found the solution myself. For anyone in the future looking to resolve this, it’s in the Wordpress settings. Go to Wordpress Dashboard > Settings > Discussion and toggle on “Break comments into pages with _ top level comments….”

Question – first time using the parrallax mouse layer thingy. My first layer (bg) needs to go edge to edge, so i’ve uploaded at 1920×400 thinking it would have “cover” rule. However, on smaller devices, the image is fully overlapping and going out of screen. Halp! what image size should I use so it actually all shrinks down into browser size?!

Can you please share your URL in regards so I can see the setup? The mouse parallax acts as a BG for the row, so if you don’t have any content in the row itself, you can simply use percent based top/bottom padding to create a fluid height. e.g. 15% for the top/bottom

The line number 2932 in your salient/js/nectar-slider.js file has a syntax error – I’m not sure how that happened when you transferred your setup, but the regular version of the file in 8.5.6 doesn’t have that.
line 2932 in your file is currently
.attr('src') + "?id="+Math.ceil(Math.random()0);
and it needs to be:
.attr('src') + "?id="+Math.ceil(Math.random()*10000);

I finally launched my site and pointed my domain (registered through a different site than my hosting service) at the page using a ‘redirect with iframe’ option (so that the official domain will display and not the actual Wordpress address). Problem is: when visiting through this domain on mobile, the site does not display to the slimmer mobile view. It’s like a scaled version of the desktop view. Other than transferring that domain to the same hosting service as the Wordpress site, is there anything I can do to get around this? Thanks again

You should be able to simply point your domain nameservers to your hosting company to get it to display from there without having to actually transfer it, also without having to use an iframe workaround. The hosting company you’re using should be able to assist with that process
Hello, i just added a video to my nectar slider, so there are 2 image slides and a video, i would like the slider to autorotate every 5 secs for the images but on the 3rd slider, to play the whole video (50 secs), is this possible? Thanks!!

unfortunately that’s not possible as of now, the auto rotation time has to be the same for each slide. However you can link to a full version of your video from one of the nectar slider buttons if you would like it to play in a lightbox
