I can customize a homepage for each category similar to the main site homepage? With the same content blocks, but related to each specific category?

You can customize which Featured area you want to use on the category pages, but the area below the Featured section is not customizable and will display a list of the rest of the posts in that category.
Bad idea. The footer section demonstrates credibility of the site and the company. The footer is like the shoes. If you do not have good shoes you are not well dressed. I suggest you add more footer options, more content blocks and some useful widgets. I’m sure you’ve lost customers because of this. Good luck!

You would be hard pressed to find a professional news site with actual content in the footer beyond menu items, copyright info, and a logo. The trend is toward simplicity, not clutter and unnecessary content. If that is something you want in you theme, that is certainly up to you, but there are no plans to include that in this one or any of my future themes.
This theme have a single footer template? Can I customize the footer and add some content?

Due to the fact that most visitors don’t view the footer and that most of footer content is typically just repeated from what was already displayed above, this theme does not display any footer content to help load the site more quickly without wasted content.
I am interested in this great theme. But unfortunately, it lacks enough social options. I refer to all social statistics as: number of comments, number of views, number of shared. I also refer to the statistics of the main social sites. It is important for a modern news site to have these Widgets: About Us, Author Box, Social Counter, Video List, Weather, Facebook Page, Instagram, Printerest, Latest Tweets. If you include all these social options this would be the best news theme. You intend to include these options in the next update?

The theme already includes a Facebook Widget and an author box, and you can include the rest of them with plugins, which is why I didn’t want to weigh the theme down with too many of those options that you can certainly add via a plugin.

Just purchased ZOX and I love it! (This is my 3rd MVP Themes purchase and I”ve always had great results, so thanks!
So far Zox has been great, but there is one glitch I’ve found..
After you finish reading an article, There are more articles that show up (in kind of a continuous scroll situation). They all have a “Continue Reading” button, but that button just reloads the current article instead of taking me to the article the button is supposed to be taking me to.

I’m looking forward to your new theme. I have an important question for me- Any chance the theme can come in dark/light? Will it have all the advertisement spaces and including Wallpaper takeover as ZOX? Last question- when will it be available ?

The theme will not initially have a dark skin, but that is something I may consider for a future update. But it will have all of the same ad spaces, including the wallpaper ad. I do not have a release date at the moment, but I am looking to submit for review within the next week.
Could you share a nicely organized version of the theme with better file structure and code comments? We are trying to do some heavier customizations and are facing difficulties.
For example, your single.php file contains ~600 lines, which makes the theme extremely difficult to customize. For comparison, the basic Twenty Seventeen Wordpress theme is perfectly organized and commented, while being free.

The Twenty Sixteen version is far less intricate and has far fewer options than this theme. While I do plan on better organizing the code at some point, I do not have a timetable for that at the moment.

Your theme looks great and was an instant buy for us, but we were disappointed after looking at the code.

I would like to add that I have been a theme developer for over 6 years now, and I have only received a handfull of complaints about the actual code, which countless others have worked well with in the past. I am not saying that there isn’t more I could do to make the code more workable for developers, but I just want to make it known to others that the vast majority of developers have no problem with working with the code as is.
Hi, The AMP post version does not show the embedded video. Is it a bug?

AMP does not allow traditional Javascript, so the Featured Video will not work on the AMP pages, but any video you include in the body of the post will work just fine.

Please, this is very important as all my posts are embedded videos and google search shows amp version on mobile and there is no video. Plus this is a must have for the zox theme. Regards

As I mentioned, the embedded videos in the body of your posts should work just fine. The Featured Video function is something that AMP simply does not allow since the function simply does not allow javascript.

AMP is supposed to be a scaled down, javascript-free version of your normal site, to deliver a faster mobile experience. Including video in the AMP posts is counter to that idea, which is why they don’t allow javascript. You might be better off disabling the AMP feature if your posts are predominantly video.

If you are asking if you can replace the categories (that are red in the theme demo) that appear with the title of the post, and then replace them with Tags, that is not a feature of the theme and is something you would need to modify on your own.

The theme does not require you to register. You are referring to the Reviewer PLUGIN that comes with the theme, and there are specific instructions in the documentation that provide you with the correct way to activate that plugin. You are NOT supposed to use your own username and purchase code. You are supposed to use the username and purchase code within the theme documentation. This is also explained in the following FAQ on the Support Center: https://mvpthemes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004710894-My-Purchase-Code-for-the-Reviewer-Plugin-is-not-working If you submitted a ticket in the past 2 days, I do not typically answer tickets on the weekend, which is why you have not heard back yet. But I do answer tickets within 24 hours during normal business days, so I can assure you that your ticket will be answered very soon, although if you follow the instructions in the FAQ and in the documentation, that should resolve your issue.

Google AMP does not allow traditional javascript code, which is why those functions are not enabled on the AMP version.
And the new theme does not yet have an official release date, but I am aiming to release it by the end of the month.
Ok, I didn’t know that about AMP… so the video will only appear if the embed code is on the article body? AMP does not allow a video as a featured post image?

Fantastic theme – suggestion – your posts have about 8 or 9 different formats we can use but the pages are pretty boring. Could you add the post formats to pages as well and maybe even add some new ones. It seems like we can only make good looking posts and not pages now. Thanks.
