Something i found quite odd, you can’t style the sub-menu differently from the main nav is that correct? If so – how do i target sub menu with css?

No, you should be able to design any part of menus. Did you checked Header > Header > Dropdown StyleKit and Dropdown menus StyleKit ?
In dropdown stylekit you can change background of sub-menu and for colors or typography via dropdown menus stylekit.

Go to Theme Options > Header > Mobile and add element to right side and choose menu from list, Then change menu type to Offcanvas
In the same panel you can add Icon and Text element, remove its text and only choose icon. Another way is from elements lists choose Social Icons, but this will show same social icons you have in desktop mode.

If you mean buttons in header, Its easy you can duplicate buttons and change it as you want or add other elements in header. There is not any limitation on header elements.

If your menus not imported, It mean your serve max_execution_time was not enough, So WordPress hadn’t enough time for importing all data. If you want to re-import demo, only check content and uncheck others then click on import. thanks finally I could do it. I have 3 questions. first where do I have to enter to move the whole menu to the right? second how do I delete the phone icon that appears in the mobile version? ah another question of where I eliminate the word that says: follow us before the social icons.
Why do they take so long to answer? About menu, Go to Theme Options > Header > Header, you can delete menu element and add it again but this time to right place. Left, center and right place are available for all header row’s.
Go to Theme Options > Header > Mobile and you can find Icon and Text element, The you can delete it.
About social follows word, Go to Theme Options > Header > Header and find Icon and Text element then delete it.
If you provide an screenshot about white area you are talking about, Then I can provide better help.

If you only want to use for blog, I do not recommend this theme, Because power of this theme is more than only for blog, For you is better to find a theme that designed only for blog and news.
Of course we have some blog demos and want to add more which you can check example here But totally I recommend you to find blog theme.

HTTP error is not related to theme, it comes from your server side, Usually by increasing PHP memory limit and max upload size error will gone.
