If you get this error when trying to install eventalk-child:
“The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, Eventalk, before you can use this child theme.”
Please open the style.css (on eventalk-child) and change from:
Template: Eventalk
To:
Template: eventalk
Hi, Yes need to install Parent Theme first then child theme. Without Parent Theme Child Theme will not installed.

I tried to make a new homepage by copying HOME1 page. But it is not showing up correctly with the layerslider, and the layout is off.
Where do I configure to have the layerslider appearing? And what are the areas in the admin console to configure for homepages.

Hello, I want to change the name of “speaker” because on my website I want the name to be “organization” and “groups”.
If you can not modify it, at least remove the word “speakers” from the URL and make it inaccessible.
These two pages I would like you not to be accessible:

When I change the Slug as you indicated in the previous comment, when I address it, it redirects me to a 404.

I just installed the EvenTalk theme for client’s website. Everything seemed to install with no problems.
However, I am unable to install the Child Theme. I can upload the theme, but the website is showing me the following error message:
“The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, Eventalk, before you can use this child theme.”
The parent theme is installed and activated. I have purged the site cache twice, but I still receive this message.
Can you offer any suggestions as to how I can get the site to recognize that the parent theme has been installed so that I will be able to load the child theme?
