Hi, in the backend of the website under All Listings the filter dropdown ‘Select category’ does not show any categories I have created, so therefore is not able to filter the listing by category?

Hi

I’ve checked it and have the same issue on my test site, so I’ve changed the theme to default one, and it’s still empty, I disabled all plugins except WP Job Manager and the list still is empty, so I guess it must be plugin issue, I’ll report it on their github

Ok, thanks for checking and I hope the developers are able to fix this issue soon.

Hi,

I have a pre-sales question.

I will be setting up two job boards, based on WorkScout.

I would like both job boards to share the same job listing. e.g Submit a listing on Job board 1, also appears on Job board 2 (perhaps, as an option)

How is this best achieved with your theme?

Kind Regards

James

Hi

Would it be on two different domains but one WordPress installation (Network installation)? I’m not sure what would be the best solution for that, there are some plugins like https://10up.com/blog/2017/distributor-plugin/ for that, or you can set WP All Import or Go Fetch Jobs to import one sites RSS to another site.

Thank you for quick response. I will look into your suggestions.

Two separate domains= Yes

One Wordpress installation= TBD (To be decided)

The key requirement is to ensure the job listings for both sites are independently indexed by Google, with the different domains in the URL path. For SEO purposes.

Perhaps I can achieve the above simply with a Wordpress Multi-Site installation?

But multi-site installation don’t share the same posts this way so that would still require additional plugin/tool.

Hi

I would like to change some of the default header text within the Job Listing Plugin, for example where it stated ‘Job Type’ I would like to change this to ‘Year of Study’ and where is stated ‘Category’ I would like to change this to ‘Sectors’ is there an easy way of making this change please?

It is a little odd, I have found the string code in the jobs.php and archive-job_listing.php files, and manually changed it, I then deleted the 2 lines in What Say, but still it loads the correct changed value then changes it back to the original after 2 seconds?

I have found the problem, in the functions file there is a section there that changes it once the page loads, I have added some new lines tto What say and ll now works as expected. Thanks for your time on this, much appreciated.

Thanks!

A few presale questions: 1. Not all features seem to be working on the demo. Search filters and such do not apply on main hero section search. Why is that?

2. Can additional sub and sub-sub category levels be attributed to the user resume ie: Marketing (top level cat) > Social Media Marketing (sub level) > Facebook ads (sub-sub level)

3. Can paid membership subscriptions be required for resume posters?

4. Can paid membership subscriptions be tiered fo that there is a limit /expansion on the number of categories applied to each resume profile (see above) , number of locations the resume user provides in and search result priority?

5. Can stripe be integrated for membership subscriptions?

Hi

ad1. I’m not sure I follow, do you mean that the search form on home page doesn’t have all features?

ad2. Yes, Resume category supports ‘child taxonomies’

ad3. Yes (that requires WC Paid Listing add-on and Resume Manager)

ad4. No, it’s just the number of posted resumes/jobs and how long are they active (and if featured)

ad5. There’s no subscription to be clear about this, the WC Paid Listings offers option to buy a package allowing to post resume/job, and that is handled by WooCommerce, so any payment gateway will work, with Stripe being supported out of the box in WC

Hi I purchased your theme earlier and see that you use the same mobile menu on your Findeo theme, I think the desktop menu on Findeo is nicer and matches the mobile menu more than the style inclued on Workscout, is it possible for you to provide the .css code for the menu styling on Findeo so I can have the same stye on Workscount please, I am using the child theme so can simply paste this in as custom code. Hoping you can assist me with this…thanks

Yes the mobile menu is the same but I am referring to the desktop menu which is different.

oh right, I misread your message. Sorry it’s not that plug&play to just copy the CSS and change the menu. Probably would require few more changes to make it work nicely.

Hi. Could you tell me where I should adjust the email adress which notifications about listings comes from? For example about a listing expiration. At the moment messages comes from wordpress@mydomain.com . How can I change the adress to jobs@mydomain.com for example?

I need a more advanced menu system to allow multi level listings in 2 colums with a heading for each colum..does your menu handle that please?

Thanks for the info, does your menu system support 2nd & 3rd level items instead of multi-columns in this case?

One last question, on your demo the home page has a transparent header over an image, it is possible to keep this format site wide? I noticed that on the alternate display there is an image in the header, but the menu it not transparent like it is on the home page of the demo?

You can use transparent header on most of the pages (if not all, I’d need to check it to be sure)

Hi, Upon successful registration, the page is redirecting to “My Account” page. but, it is not redirecting after login even I select the “Myaccount” page as redirect page.

Thank you.

Can you send me access to your WordPress via Support Tab? I’ll check it.

Can we display a welcome message after successful login?

That would require customisation. We’ve build a new registration system for our new theme which is more flexible and easier to work with, WorkScout will be update with this new system soon, so I hope all those issues will be solved

Hi,

Question: need to make a 5-column for single images on my page. 4 wont work (leaves me 2 short) and 6 is smushed – lol.

Is there anyway to create/make a 5 column. Driving me nuts – haha. Any help would be appreciated :-)

Thank you.

Please disregard….not quite sure how, but I figured it out.

Hi

ok, if you’ll have any more support related questions please verify your purchase first :)

good Day i want to purchase this but i want to know if i can edit categories because i want the site for a specific category like the site will be for Nurses only. Can i modify the site based on the nurse details only…

I have login as an employer and POST A JOB. Most of the details there i don’t need. can i delete it so that the employer can just fill the one’s they need.

Same with the Candidate can i delete some details when i am making my resume. Also the SHOP can i disable it?

Yes, https://wpjobmanager.com/document/editing-job-submission-fields/ and https://wpjobmanager.com/document/resume-manager-editing-submission-fields/

Shop is optional. Demo page just shows what you can do with theme, it doesn’t say you have to use it as it’s shown

Hi there, Just want to know if it is possible to set up a function which charges the “Candidate” a listing fee, if they want to be listed on the directory?

Hi

with the WC Paid Listings https://wpjobmanager.com/add-ons/wc-paid-listings/ add-on and Resume Manager add-on you can require buying ‘resume package’ that will allow publishing their resume/profile page on your site.

Hello, i want to buy Workscout theme but i’m not sure how it’ll work with polilang or wpml. Will it work fine with multilanguage plugins?

Hi

no, currently it doesn’t have support for multilanguage

Hi, how can I add the hero slider same like in your template home-5 before the search bar option?

You can use [jobs] shortcode or Jobs element in Page Builder with enabled filters.

Please consider renewing your support as your included support period has expired. That help us maintain the theme and develop it further. Many thanks!

Thanks, I’ve later edited manually also the view with the frontend editor. Is there a possibility to make job search ajax instead of “by categories” -> by a custom field added previously?

I’m not sure I understand that question. All search request are done via ajax

Hi there Workscout community. Is there a way to display more jobs by default?

This is what our site currently looks like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/md1jhtsrhg3u4dj/01%20-%20What%20it%20looks%20like%20now%20-%20shows%20just%20a%20few%20listings%20by%20default.png?dl=0

This is what I would like for it to look like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d9lejzcccog2szf/02%20-%20What%20i%20woul%20LIKE%20IT%20TO%20LOOK%20LIKE%20-%20show%20more%20listings%20by%20default.png?dl=0

Anyone know how to accomplish this? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi

just edit this page using Page Editor, click the Jobs element in that section, and you can set there number of jobs to display

Hi! Can I somehow switch of “Job Type Filter” and “Salary Filter” on an exact “Job Category” page? I’ve found out how to switch off this filters on “Browse Jobs” page – I should adjust “Page with Job Filters” settings. And my browse jobs page looks ok: https://mobitalents.com/advanced-job-search/ But on my “Job Category” page these filters are shown: https://mobitalents.com/job-category/software-development/ If there is any solution?

Yes, I’ve sent you a message in Support Tab

Thank you for your help

You’re welcome :)

Hi – when a new Candidate registers – they are not given the role Candidate. Do I need to create a ticket?

Sorry for delay, I’ll do my best to resolve it today

That would be great and much appreciated.

I think it’s solved, please check your email for explanation

Hi, I need to edit the Google place API in the theme to include postal_code ie zip code or post code. Where is it in the theme so I can add post code. Also If you know the code that will let me get postcode let me know it will save me some time. Cheers

Hi

it’s already done by wpjm, if listing is geocoded and the results did have the postal code it’s saved in post meta fields ‘geolocation_zipcode’ or ‘geolocation_postcode’

Hi. Could you tell if there is an opportunity to open registration only for employers? I mean that only employers will have an opportunity for sign up and sing in.

Hi

Technically it is, but how would you verify if someone is actually an employer?

Well, It is not so important to veryfy. It is just cutting not needed fuctionality for Candidates. And one more question: Can you recommend any plugin or solutions for GDPR and Privacy compliance for this theme?

Hi

In Customize -> Login/Registration Options there an option to disable the role dropdown. WPJM comes with some GDPR options (like removing users data etc) but I can’t recommend any other plugins, haven’t tested anything, but most of them should work.
