Thank you very much for your reply. Indeed I got the version 2.13.17 so the new way of updating theme is not activated.
I ve done the instructions but it doesn’t work, envato api connection fail most of times, and when it works and I’m trying to update the theme, it says i got the last version ?

Just downloaded the new version and tried to upload to my website. It breaks my site upon activation with these errors:

Actually, I’m pretty sure this problem is caused by running on an old PHP engine, make sure your PHP is at least 5.6 or higher, the recommended on the WordPress requirements page is PHP 7.2.

I released this demo recently and haven’t had a chance to prepare it for import. The closest one that comes to it would be the 2017 Main demo. As soon as I’m done with the Gutenberg compatibility update, I’ll have more time to prepare the “Business” one to be included with the imports.

Until then you may import it with the alternative method.

Hello, Thinking of buying this theme again but I have checked the new Google page speed insights score on your demos now it is lighthouse and on mobile they are scoring low, will you be updating the theme and demos so they score better now Google insights have changed how it scores sites?

I usually optimize just the home page in one of the demos for testing, it’s too much work and maintenance to keep it as Google insight and the like testing sites keep changing requirements. I find it was easier to get good scores with WordPress sites, but now it’s tougher you’ll need to invest more time and effort optimizing and working with plugins that help with optimization.
Envato used Pingdom for their competition last year for fast and optimized themes I since use Pingdom for my testing, I get over 90 score: https://tools.pingdom.com/#59d094d7d1800000 and I’m getting that score without using CDN, so there is still room for higher score should I comply with all their requirements.Regards
I tried to download this theme for install and it wouldn’t on two different websites. It fails to upload and says the link is expired. Does anyone else have problems installing this theme?

it’s not very clear, where do you get the link is expired message? Did you successfully download the theme from your ThemeForest account? If you did then installing it doesn’t require a link, you could simply upload it via the WordPress Appearance -> Themes page or via FTP. Hello – I’m exceptionally interested in buying UDesign, but I have a query:
I’m creating a travel brochure site where we’ll feature the same products across different pages, and we’d like to just update the price in one place that filters through the site and updates in all places.

one way would be to insert that bit of content using the theme’s action hooks API. We have many example of how this works in the theme’s support forum and I can also give you direction how to do it once you’re ready.

Signing in with Envato First
I signed in to my Envato account first, then clicked the support link for this theme, it took me to your dreamthemedesign.com login page, I chose the Envato sign-in button and the result was this:
Your account is "View Only" because you have never signed in with Envato to confirm your support status. To update your support status please sign in with this link.
I clicked the link in that warning and it tried to sign me in, likely using the Envato API and it failed taking me back to the same warning.

I logged out of Envato, cleared my cache, then went to your support login page, signed into Envato via your support login and that failed taking me to the same warning page.
Envato API method not working
Obviously, either from your dream theme site end or at the Envato end, this API method is broken and I tried 2 different browsers (Firefox & Chrome) with the same result.
No matter what I did, I cannot sign into your support page and I wanted to ensure the ticket was not public because I have some serious questions to ask and need answers for.

I need custom widget areas:

in the top area the theme only offers one widget area and its located on the right hand side. Another way to insert content would be using child theme and the theme’s extensive action hooks and filters support. With hooks and filters you can easily insert content including shortcodes.

just follow the demo import wizard available through the U-Design → Import Demo Data menu. It’s also explained in the documentation.

If you purchased the theme before Sept. 1st, 2015 then your supported status in the forum should be “Grandfathered”, if you purchased the theme after that date then your support is expired and you need to purchase additional support to get it. It’s just how ThemeForest.net support policy is.
We do not provide support in this area here.
I’ll just give you a quick answer to your menu question. The menu cannot be different for mobile.

Those are ThemeForest.net (Envato) rules, not mine about the support policy, nothing I can do about it.
My theme is working fine, other users do not have the issues you’re mentioning. What you want to do with the menu requires custom work as this isn’t a feature offered by U-Design. Something like this could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. Please be advised that as per the ThemeForest Support Policy the provided support is limited strictly to the theme’s default features or any technical issues with the default theme.
The logo should work fine for responsive layouts unless you did something to break the layout, I can only determine that if I examine the site, which I asked you to post in the support forum.

Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I had checked the forum, but had not found the posting regarding the fields needing to be deleted. I ended up updating the theme successfully using Manual Method Update #1. After receiving the above link and reading the post, I returned to my dashboard and found that the fields referenced in the post no longer exist. I have a screen shot if you’d like to see it. Was that something the theme’s update took care of or was it something the Envato Market plugin update fixed? It would be interesting to know why it disappeared without me taking any steps on my own. Thank you again!
The fields were missing because you already updated the theme, going over that release 2.13.18 I switched the update method hence the fields went missing, but for most users the trick to avoid any issues doing the transition was to clear those fields. In your case you don’t have to worry about it now

not sure, I’ve never heard of this plugin before. The thing is if a plugin follows best WordPress coding practices then there is no reason why it should not be compatible with themes that also followed that practice.

Hi, I used the uDesign theme to create a website for a client. In https://themeforest.net/licenses/faq#use-product-for-client-a it says I can transfer the license to my client. But how do I do this, so the customer can e.g. make future theme updates himself? I also have another project I took over from another freelancer who used uDesign. So I would also need the license key from him, so I can do the updates now. How does this work? The other freelancer told me, I need to buy new license, since the one he used to create the website is connected to his themeforest account. What should we do? Thanks for your help, Martina
