Hi,
I have a few questions if you could help, please…
1. When I started my site, first I did not think that I would have to sell stuff on it, so I deleted all the shop pages, login pages, and the other e-commerce pages. Is there a way to bring them back or regenerate them without messing my site up?
2. The Woo commerce plugin that comes with the theme, does it support digital downloads or do I have to buy extra plugins for that? If it does not, which is the best compatible with Salient, which do you recommend?
3. To sell digital download, do I have to do any special customization to Salient? Or just buy the plugin and start selling?

2. There is built in functionality through WooCommerce for digital downloads https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/
3. There’s no further customization required in Salient, and WooCommerce is free to download

I found your link from another thread – https://visualcomposer.io/help/faq/visual-composer-website-builder-vs-wpbakery-page-builder/ to be helpful in understanding the difference between the two.
My question is, if I buy Visual Composer Premium separately, will I be able to use it for front-end WYSIWYG editing (including their premium tools like in-line editing) with Salient?
Their site states that… “Visual Composer Website Builder works with all properly coded themes without any problems. What does “properly coded theme” mean? There is an official WordPress Codex which states rules which need to be followed when you develop your WordPress theme.” ... and I was wondering if Salient meets these requirements or if there is something preventing that.

It would work, however if you choose to not use the Salient page builder you’ll be loosing access to most of the theme elements which would defeat the purpose of choosing Salient as your theme

Alexa is giving me a warning about insecure meta tags. Looking into this it refers to `Powered by WPBakery Page Builder – drag and drop page builder for WordPress.`.
Can we remove this? Or is this not recommended?

Thank you for your support. Please answer the following questions: 1. Is there a way styling the project-type page in a Masonry grid? Also, is it possible to view the photos in the project-type only in a lightbox?
2. Is there a way of preventing the images to open in a new tab when you click them with the scroll wheel? I’ve disabled the right click but you can still open the photos in a new tab and download them by clicking on them with the scroll wheel.
3. How long will it take until the front-end editor is available?

1. The project-type archive responds to the settings you define in the Salient options panel > portfolio tab. There’s currently no option for a lightbox only archive page though I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist
2. There’s no built in functionality to do that, it would require the use of a plugin
3. We’ve been passing out the beta version as of this weekend which includes it – would you like me to email you a copy?

Hey azimi789, “salient” is still the theme text domain, what version were you previously using?
Version 8 / I noticed that the parts that were added in the new update could not be changed For example a button of blog slider “READ ARTICLE”.

We are using your theme and created tabs on the page but it is not taking tabs URL but creating its id. Please check this page https://www.dumas-software.com/services/ here are tabs of its specialty but when we click on the service name to the end of the slug for the matching tab so we can link to specific open tab (ex. https://www.dumas-software.com/services/ when click on Legacy Modernization url would say https://www.dumas-software.com/services/legacy-modernization) but now its giving an id at end of slug.
Can you please help us on this matter and let us know how to change id to specific name?

the only way you can link directly to a specific tab is to use ?tab=tab-name on your URL like so:

The sandwich link ist not clickable. Obviously, as always, never a problem with FF or Chrome. Is there any solution to this. People can not reach the cart, so they can not complete their orders. Strange and bad for us. Any help? Obviously it is iPhone 6 related, the cart and the menu button is noch clickable.

Hi ! I think i have isolate a bug. If you create a tabbed content items. Then inside a tab pages you create an image gallery item. If you set the image gallery to all modes except nectar slider, everythings works perfectly. But when you set your image gallery to nectar slider there is a bug, the tab content doesn’t display the first tab pages of the tab list by default. In fact nothing is selected you have to clic on one tab to activate it. If you disable nectar slider and switch to any other type, it does work as expected and send you to the first tab. Cheers

Hey Whatis360, the search changes with the assigned theme skin – to get the old search search bar, switch to the “original” theme skin in the Salient options > general settings tab

Hey tyesov, in Loco Translate > Themes > Salient > Advanced you can set the path to the .pot file. For the Template file field use “lang/nectar_salient_strings.pot”
How do i set an anchor link for accordions? I need to link to a specific accordion section but they all appear set at just a # sign.

Is it possible to have portfolio thumbnails open separate lightbox galleries of their own instead of linking to portfolio item page or a gallery made up of images tagged with the same category?
Bascailly I want to use the portfolio section to create a row of thumbnails on a page that when I click on will open a lightbox gallery of selected images.
So each thumbnail opens a different lightbox gallery without taking the user to another page…

Unfortunately there’s no option to have this functionality by default in the theme yet. The user would need to navigate to the single project page where the full gallery would be contained. I’ve noted your +1 for the idea on the wishlist though
