Hello darenick, This is how Vlogger manage categories and series: if a video is added in a category, you will find other category related videos just below the header as you can see here: http://themes2go.xyz/demos/vlogger/demo/5-tips-for-everyday-photography/

If you add a video to a serie, in tutorial template you can see its related category items under the “Related” tab (check the right sidebar).

Said so, you can also add serie categories so you can have multiple series inside a custom category (http://themes2go.xyz/demos/vlogger/demo/seriescategory/gaming/)

Thanks for your answer. I’m thinking in terms of SEO and classic wordpress categories when I ask this questions. So as an example you have:

Category Page:

—> single video post (not included in a series)

—> single blog post

—> video series (links to the series of videos)

I’d like to focus on building out my category pages, as they would attempt to rank for harder keywords. Does this make sense?

I really like this theme, but I’m a little worried navigation could be confusing if not setup exactly right. My site is a tutorial site and I have a mix of blog posts, single videos and video series, that all fit under main categories. This is super important for me.

Currently, you can’t customize every category/series pages. What you can do is create a page, as page template choose “Series Archive” and then customize it with WP Bakery Page Builder.

With this page attribute, WordPress will show all the series available but you could not filter them.

I assume I would be able to disable to theme rating system and then use plugins for post ratings and structured data instead?

Sure, you can disable our bundled ReaKtions plugins and add your own rating plugin but you will need some extra code or css customizations.

Hello mahofficial, thanks for writing in. You can use adsense on Vlogger thanks to our ads manager. Please be aware that you can’t copy and paste the ad sense code, but you have to convert it in a shortcode (you can easily to it with a third party plugin).

Hello Spagrand, you can set a YouTube channel URL in backend. This will generate the YouTube subscribe button on the top right corner of the page. But this functionality was thought to work with a single video channel.

Hello! Autoplay works only with the first embedded video.

Regarding autoplay on mobile: Auto-Play Video on iOS Devices

- In Safari on iOS (for all devices, including iPad), where the user may be on a cellular network and be charged per data unit, preload and autoplay are disabled. No data is loaded until the user initiates it.

-Autoplay is disabled to prevent unsolicited cellular download.

- iOS not only prevents autoplay but also preloading the video until the user initiates it.

Auto-Play Video on Android Video - Android has disabled autoplay in versions 4.1+.

- Developers have created various hacks that allow a video to autoplay on mobile websites and these work for some devices, but there is no way to make them autoplay without some custom coding/hack or without the user clicking the play button or some other type of user interaction.

For these reasons, we did not try third-party plugins.

Hello claudiazeni, in order to sell your courses, you can look for third-party plugins like Membership Pro or Learnpress. These could help you selling your course but you will need some CSS customizations to get it fit properly with theme.

Currently there is no native functionality included in the theme but you can achieve it by using a third-party plugi, for example user submitted posts (https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-submitted-posts/). But there are many plugins that could help you on WP repository. Give it a try.

You will need some CSS tweaks but this should help you. All the best,

1) Vlogger allows live streaming through YouTube or Twitch, so you can do it but technically you would first embed your video url on a post.

2) Sure! You can upload your own MP4 video to the Media Library and then embed it on a post.

1) Currently there is no such feature included with the theme but we could take it into consideration for a future update. But for the near future we can’t work on it.

2) The “Related” tab loads the last series in the same category. You can’t list any kind of contents without editing the code.

3) I think that with the included Page builder you can almost build anything you want. Let me better understand your needs

1) That’s a shame, seems a pointless feature on mobile as it stands.

2) Ok. Again it would have been good if we could load blog material to support the video content.

3) Yes we could use blank pages and develop them to suit, it would have just been nicer if the pages were linked properly together using proper navigation between the different product portfolio items. Not a big issue.

Hello Adnan125, thanks for writing in. You can add as many video you want in the post but only the first will be loaded in the header. Regarding download links I think there are no problems, they are just textual link to external resources.

ReaKtion plugin doesn’t include data import function. You can install GD Star Rating on Vlogger but then you would customize the page templates in order to fit them.
