Hi! Actually I figured out I had the transparency on…sorry about that! But, Im still finding that I have too much white space between the bottom of my header and my content, how do I make that space smaller? the header padding seems to be a lot larger beneath the logo than above.

Are you just trying to reduce the highlighted space in red here: https://ibb.co/yfSRSGH If so, you can set your “header padding” to a lesser value in the Salient options panel > header navigation > logo & general styling tab. Try a value of “15” to start off.

Last night I updated to version 10 and 5.6 wp bakery. Before doing that my GTMETRIX score was 100 (page speed) and 94 (Yslow). I use the W3TC caching plugin, but since the update whatever has been changed has broken the minification settings. So currently, I am having to use the minification settings of the Siteground (host) caching plugin and the rest of the settings from W3TC.
The result of the broken minification (specifically the CSS minification) is that the site layout breaks. On a woocommerce page, everything falls under one column.
With regards to the Javascript, a lot of scripts don’t really work anymore. For example the nectar slider, the add to cart number in the main nav, the fancy tabs functions.
Before the update the W3TC was working fine, but now the settings seem too aggressive and it all breaks. Have you found the same on your demo sites?
The big problem is causes with GT Metrix scores is that now, I can’t use W3TC for minifying, it means I can’t use their defer parsing function and that is causing a low page score. Page speed and scores are critical as a ranking factor for us, so this is a big problem.
Can you let me know if there is a solution to what has changed? Or if you have any solutions in mind that I can implement?

However, when I changed the theme to a default WP theme, I’m also seeing the same. So it appears to be a new issue related to WooCommerce/W3 css minification rather than the theme that’s active

Salient should allow you to use elementor, though we do not have plans to add our existing elements into that builder. We just actually released the front end builder compatibility for WPBakery page builder in version 10 of the theme

There’s an option to change the portfolio slug in the Salient options panel > portfolio > functionality tab, however changing the backend label would require modding to the nectar/helpers/portfolio.php file at the “nectar_portfolio_register” function

2. What specifically are you trying to style? If you’re trying to use new map tiles, this would require custom development

Anyway I just submitted a ticket, there is an issue with the CF7 drop-down menu. The drop-down doesn’t work on the front-end, so I’m wondering is it a compatibility issue or there is something that I missed.
Also, how can I make the CF7 label to be inline layout? can I use the bootstrap columns? And if I may know what framework does salient based on?

also, i still can’t get video backgrounds to play on that homepage linked right above this comment. I’ve uploaded webm and mp4 and all settings on my server are ok.. they work fine on chrome/firefox but not safari

Hi Theme Nectar, After the update, once I’m mobile mode and try to use the menu, I noticed it’s showing also the secondary menu and was supposed to show only the main menu.
I think is the side widget area on mobile is add the secondary menu as well.

are you just trying to have the secondary menu display above the main nav instead of being added into the menu?
In the past, in the mobile mode, I was able to see the secondary menu on top, after scroll down it disappears and was showing only my logo and the Menu Icon, once clicking in the menu Icon it will be displayed only the Main Menu. Now the secondary menu disappears an everything went inside the menu icon: main + secondary. I would like to see as in the past.

Have updated to WP 5.0, Salient WP Bakery VC updated to 5.6, all required plugins including Classic Editor installed, additional plugins are updated to latest version and cache cleared… but I’m getting Blank Pages when I try to edit a page. Also seeing an option for each page to “edit” or “edit with WP Bakery Page Builder”... both options lead to white page.
Also - can’t access Salient options page (blank page). - Portfolio page list displays list of shortcode text previews, click on edit goes to blank page.
Can accecs Widgets, Menus and install plug ins. But clicking “customize takes me to a 404 error page.
Currently activated plugins are *Central Color Palette, * Classic Editor, * Coming Soon CC, * Contact Form 7, *Envato Market, Font Customizer, * Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP), *Salient WPBakery Page Builder, *TinyMCE Advanced, *Yoast SEO)
Have tried in Chrome, Safari and Firefox …. all getting same result. Please help!
I have deactivated “Classic Editor” and discovered that if I also deactivate “Salient WPBakery Page Builder” that I can awkwardly edit the pages, but without the help of a visual composer of any sort. So the “blank edit page” issue disappears on Pages, Salient options and Portfolio) but then I have to turn “Salient WPBakery Page Builder” back on to preview the changes. Very awkward way of working, but is a workaround for now. (turning “disable Gutenberg” on/off in plugins Bakery plugin settings doesn’t help or change the issues) Please advise legit fix. Thanks in advance.
Hey LeanneKingwell, currently there’s no known issue of blank white pages as mentioned. A blank white page is the result of an internal server error, which will be logged in your PHP error log. Please check that, search for “fatal error” and let me what what comes up. It’s possible that it’s a server memory issue – have you tried to deactivate all other plugins other than the Salient page builder to test?
Hi, Thanks for your speedy response. Since deactivating “Coming Soon CC” maintenance mode plugin, and re-activating Salient WP Bakery Page Builder” again (disable Gutenberg Editor boxed is checked) I’m seeing full access to Salient Options, full access and Visual Composer edit access to Portfolio Pages… and semi access to Page editing… as in the white page is gone, and I can access the “text/code” to edit… but no visual composer, and if I click on the “visual” tab nothing happens. (Classic editor plug in is deactivated) I’ve put the site back online now… url is integrasolar.com.au Would really appreciate your input in getting visual composer edit format back into pages… then I’ll be a very happy and relieved girl. I noticed that my copyright year was wrong. I think it might be that it’s pulling from the year that the page was created, because the homepage is 2014 (https://www.sailboston.com/) but other pages have different dates (https://www.sailboston.com/app/). Not sure if it’s a bug or just me. I’m using the default settings for copyright in the footer.

Bug? If you activate ‘Full screen row’ option the ‘row id’ set in css stops working, With ‘full screen row’ option off, css set in the style.css work just fine. Salient v10.

When using the full screen row option, the is gets moved to an attribute on the div as the full screen row “name” field on the row will become the ID. So to target it would be:
div[data-fullscreen-anchor-id="row_id"]instead of

1. You can get menu items to display next to the logo by using the “Menu Left Aligned” in the Salient options panel > header navigation > layout related tab
2. Rearranging the mobile menu would require CSS as of now

This theme is a mess after the update. Flickity sliders are not working for testimonials now. My portfolio sliders are not working either. I’ve followed the update instructions to a T and my site is now broken.

Yes. I can get Flickity sliders to load in Microsoft Edge but not in Google Chrome. Example: https://www.bpmediaworks.com/portfolio/gutter-helmet-of-denver-colorado/ Looks great in Edge but the sliders won’t load for me in Chrome. I’ve cleared the site cache and my browser cache.
I also just confirmed it won’t work in Chrome on my phone either.

Yes, you can download the theme and simply FTP that single file – it should fix your issue.
I replaced the file and I’m still having the same issue. Re-cleared all my caches also

It’s not my server. I see the old version at that link in Chrome. But if I open the exact same link in Microsoft Edge I see v2.1.2 So it has something to do with my browser. But I can’t seem to get it to clear no matter what I do.
I’m at a loss. If I open that file in my online file editor in Chrome, I see v2.1.2 But if I try to just load that file from a Chrome webaddress it shows the old version. It makes no sense.
Got it figured out. Cloud Flare was the culprit. I purged the cache multiple times but was doing it from my web host control panel. Instead this time I went straight to Cloudflare.com and did it there and that worked for some reason.

If i am using a blog with sidebar with all my posts and its set globally but i want to have one or two blog posts with full width setting, without the sidebar. Where do i go to do that? I could not find a way to do it in the Global settings and also post related settings.
Is this option not included with the theme?

Since updating Wordpress, Salient and WPBakery, several design elements of my site have disappeared. The background is white and the font has changed. The settings did not change in Salient. I tried disabling all my plugins to see if that was the cause and still no results. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
