Hey gwax23, you need to update to the current release of the theme in order to get access to 5.6 of the WPBakery plugin. When using earlier versions, WordPress 5.0 will hide the page builder by default with the new block editor

1. The latest update removes most of the Envato theme check errors. We dedicated a section of the v10 timeframe to adhering to those standards: http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html

2. With the new Salient release, you have the option to use either the WPBakery page builder or the new block editor. The only thing is that you can’t easily switch between the two for the same page. The choice for which editor to use should be made when beginning a post/page to avoid any hassles

Hey UCOMEDIA, you can assign widgets to the off canvas menu location in Appearance > Widgets, which will appear no where else on the site. What methods have you used to try and add content to that area?

Hey LaurensFloor, you can alter that in the Salient options panel > header navigation > logo & general styling tab. Just remember to select “custom” for your “Header Color Scheme”
