I just uninstalled a 3rd party plugin that I bought in Code Canyon. Sadly, I realized that after the process finished, I cannot access your shortcode feature when I create or edit a page anymore..

Which plugin? Not sure how this is connected, unless you have Gutenberg editor enabled which doesn’t have shortcodes anymore
Hello, Happy New Year! I have two questions based on comments from our client:
1. Is it possible to add the primary job search function (that appears within the header when using the “Page with Jobs Search” template) manually anywhere else via shortcode? For instance, into the body content? Our client wants to alter the look of the area around the search/filter area in the Home page header by adding additional text & images beyond just a header background image. I could do that if the job search function could be placed into content and by using the page builder.
The function i am referencing is different than just using the [jobs] shortcode.
2. When using the Map on Jobs page and with the title bar enabled as well, is it possible to be able to switch positions so that the title bar can appear below the map instead of above?

ad1. yes something like this exits, the shortcode is [jobs_searchbox]
ad2. Depends on configuraiton but you have to edit jobs.php or archive-job_listing.php file and just move the titlebar section below the map

You can’t do that using CSS
How do I remove the read more button on posts I’ve tried editing the content.php in temperate parts page but still no joy is there somewhere else it needs to be removed regards

you probably need edit file content-standard.php in template-parts, there are few files for all post format types
and what do you mean by ‘less information’? Which information?
Ok will edit that file, well the salary, job type etc, also in current settings user registration is disabled in customiser/ user account, there is no user registration template so how is best to set this up in work scout.

ad1. There’s no option to filter by deadline
ad2. That would require custom modification, the default functionality of WP Job Manager is to require employers to buy a job package to be able to submit job, or to require candidates to buy a resume package to be able to submit resumes. There’s no option to be charged for applying.

I want to require a visitor who is going to apply in my job board to have an account first (and with the specific role). Is there any way to change the “Apply for job” button into a “Please login to Apply” for the visitor?
What do I mean is just like the Bookmark function, where visitor required to Login and have an account before able to Bookmark. I want that function too in the single-job listing.
Because I run a different business model. I don’t charge a candidate for submitting a resume, instead, I charge them for a monthly membership. Therefore I want only specific user who has created an account and active subscription plan to be able to apply.

Yes I use it. The problem is, the employer is not in my job board yet.
What do I mean by that “Apply for job” button is the one that redirect them to external page of the employer.

There’s currently no option for that but we’ll soon be updating theme with new registration form that will have easy way to add more custom fields to it.

I like your theme a lot. But I have one major issue. The job search. While I love your location search which drops down once you start typing a place, I really love this feature by the way. But getting back to the point, when I do a search and type in the city and select it (i.e. ‘miami’—> Miami, FL, USA), it doesn’t return any results. It doesn’t matter what city I put in. There are jobs in the demo for all the cities I tried (like San Francisco, New York, etc), but I get 0 results. I only get results if I leave the location field empty. Can you please tell me why this is happening and tell me how to get rid of it? I really want to purchase your theme as soon as possible.

Is it maybe because those jobs you guys posted in the demo, you didn’t type in a city in location but you used regions instead?

this is strange issue, I’ll take care of that on our demo, probably we changed something with API keys for Google Maps that are used for geocoding in search and we forgot to update that on demo, but I can assure you it works correctly in theme

Sidebar generator is in Appearance -> Theme Options -> Sidebars, each page has option to choose which sidebar you want to display on it.

Hi. I’m trying to change h2 into h1 tag in the Search Banner on the main page (template-home.php). On your demo site https://workscout.in/ it will be “Find job” phrase in the search banner of the main page. I’m trying to do in in order to influence SEO optimization. But when I change h2 into h1 in template-home.php, the Search Banner text goes black and smaller. What should I add to CSS in order to leave the appearance of the Seach Banner on the main page as it is now, but to make in h1 tag, not h2 as it is by default?

those plugins are not included with theme
we are having problems with the category grid on the homepage. When we click on an icon or category we are getting forwarded but there is a green dot loading on that category page and filters don’t react really. We changed the Job Category names from the demo page.

what exactly do you want to edit there? This is archive page for ‘job listing’ post type, so it’s not editable via Pages in wp-admin, you have some option for this page in Customise -> Jobs Options

sorry for delay but we have Christmas break. This option applies to the map on Jobs page, not for single map. For single page it’s in Customize -> Job Options -> Single Job Options -> Default Map Zoom Level

Windows Defender is notorious for false positives. Even if you disable Defender, download the file, re-enable Defender, and then manually scan the zip file by right-clicking on it, it doesn’t detect it as infected. This files it marks as infected are two JS files from RevolutionSlider that is included with theme, they use some ‘eval’ function which triggers the alert in Windows Defender, but the code is safe.
I’m trying ultimate member plugin for login and registration but it is not working and crashing my site. Is it really compatible for this theme?
I haven’t checked that for WordPress 5.0 update, will do it today and get back to you. What kind of error do you get if it’s crashing your site?
