Hi,
I am trying to hide the 2nd header on a landing page this is the code that I use but it does not work.
#header-secondary-outer {
display: none!important;
}
I am using this same blue header as in this demo http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ecommerce-ultimate/
Also, i’d like to disable the link on the logo that redirects to the home page, but I want to do that only for the landing page.

The css you’ve shared is valid to hide the secondary header – can you please share your actual URL in regards so I can take a look why it’s not working for you?

Now that you’ve moved to using the helpers, how can we override them in the child theme?
For example, I want to customise the woocommerce helper but if I put a file in my child theme like:
/salient-child/nectar/helpers/woocommerce.php
It doesn’t override the theme file!
Any work around for this; as I imagine lots of my customisation on this theme will now take place in the helper files.
Hey Sean, the helper files can’t be overridden in a child theme like that – however the partials, which are now located in includes/partials, can be. In the current beta we’ve ensure all functions can be easily overridden in a child theme funcitons.php by copying the needed function from the helper directory. Hello there! Just uploaded to version 10 and looks great!! Just wondering about two details. First, when using Magnific lightbox style, and clicking on an image, all styles of back/forward buttons are displayed; and second, it is difficult to add multiple images to a gallery. Do you recomend deleting the theme and reinstalling it? Or is it a bug and a fix is on the way?

1. The duplicate arrows are coming from a plugin you have active (give), however the latest theme lightbox script is actually fancyBox3 which you can switch to in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab That script is recommended over magnific since it offers better responsive functionality
2. Can you explain what difficulties you’re having using the image gallery element to add/edit multiple images?

Hello, guys!! Thanks for the response!! Here is a video uploaded to the website to illustrate the issue with the image gallery. Sorry I didn’t explained myself before. Whenever I try to add multiple images, the “Add image” button reamains like “shut down” after I click on it and then nothing happens. The string is available for translation, but if you’re having issues with that and just want to know the location of the string – check out the nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php file and run a search for it
What is the easiest way to add an Apple Icon?

Is it possible using Salient Native features to make the map icons clickable? I’m testing out the format provided with |lat|long| and then wrapping the location name around and a tag, but that doesn’t seem to work.
Hey Liyte, the map icons are only clickable in the sense that they will trigger the map infowindow associated with the pin for a short description. If you’re trying to make them into a standard link, unfortunately this would require custom modding or the use of a different map plugin
Hello, when I enter my website, the banner on my home page shows the picture zoomed in, and then after a second stabilizes it back to normal. If I refresh the page through the browser, the banner again displays the picture zoomed in, and then again goes back to normal. How do I prevent this from happening? Does it have to do anything with the fact that I used the parallax effect previously on the banner? Did I not disable it properly? If not, how do I fix it? Thanks!

Struggling with my mega menu under “shop” I have set it to a 2 column mega menu and then used CSS to restrict it’s size so it isn’t the full width of the header.
But I need it to align with the “shop” menu item rather than the far left side of the page.

Hey rolldigo, I just tested the plugin on my end with a conditional to verify that it should work. What version of the theme are your using?
The new theme update has totally ruined the backend. All my pages says ‘You have blank page, Start adding content or templates’ with some weird backend interface, yet the front end shows correctly!
It seems as WPBakery Page Builder is not working with latest version.

Hi. I resolved the issue. The page builder was out of date, but it did not show an update for it. Only after multiple cache cleans I saw the update, so now its working 100% thanks.

The new theme update seems to have a bug with the WooCommerce section “You may also like…”. 4 Products do not fit on the same line. I have tested this with other websites built with Salient and it seems that they also have the issue. I also tried removing all custom css. Currently trying to get my “header image” on all regular pages to anchor to the right side of the page, so that when window size changes it doesn’t crop the graphic positioned near the right side of the header. The rest of the header image is plain colour so I don’t mind the left being cropped when window is resized.
My site is using boxed layout.
Is there some code I can add to the custom css panel to make my page header image behave as described please?

Hey petruccelli, as of now there’s no event bound outside the header menu so this would require some modding. I’ve noted your +1 for the idea to add a custom generic class name which would trigger this

How do we force a menu item e.g. Contact Us to go into the Top Right of the Header for the Centered Menu Bottom Bar menu option?
Hey adaptos, currently there is only the option to use a top left location for additional menu items on the centered menu bottom bar layout via the menu location “Top Navigation Menu Pull Left”. I’ve noted the idea to allow custom items on the right as well, however for now you’d need to modify the file includes/partials/header/header-menu.php
It’d be great to get some better options for blog formatting. The blog posting layouts are limited and don’t really look that great anymore… pretty dated design.
