I am very happy with the theme and I only had small problems that I could solve on my own. What I could not do is to filter the results of this widget by category ID. It always shows “Latest” and “Trending” of all the categories, but I want to choose only one.

I will be very grateful that you can tell me how to do it, either through WordPress options or by editing the file “widget-tabber.php”. Thank you

Are you planning to customize the Zox website? For example using “WPbakery” or “Elementor”?

There are no plans to include either with the theme since you don’t need either in order to set up the theme like the demo.

How to rearrange news blocks on the main page ? In any way ? Only with the help of a code editor ? For this and need the above plugins. That is, the site does not have a wide range of design customization options.

The homepage sections below the Featured Posts section are all widgets, so you have full control of how many and where to place these sections, as well as what posts are displayed in each section. So you do have just as many customization options as you would with one of those editors.

Is there an option wherein i can selectively show posts on homepage? As in, if i have to block an entire category of posts to be displayed in home page

Aside from the optional top Featured Posts section, which is displayed via a Tag, and the optional bottom Blog section which displays all of your latest posts, all of the other blocks are widgets where you can select whether to display posts via a category or tag. But if you are asking if you can block a specific tag or category from appearing on the homepage specifically, that is not an option with the theme.

I’m looking to buy these themes but I noticed that each block only displays a category or tag. For example (http://www.mvpthemes.com/zoxnews/featured-3/) .. if in these post in highlights formed by 1×2, I can put in the larger block a tag / category and in the 2 minor posts other tag / categories?

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, you can only use one tag for the whole Featured Posts section, so what you are proposing would need to be modified on your own.

It sounds like you are looking in the wrong place for the documentation, which is located in the /documentation folder of the original zip file you downloaded from Themeforest.

Addition to the question above: If I am worried about image weight to slow a site down, what is your main recommendation in terms of using plugin/s to reduce the image file size and reduce the load from imagery (cache plugin, CDN etc) respectively? What is, according to you, a best-in-class approach to images that can be easily implemented? Prior to uploading the images to the site with selected image handling plugins, should I always save them in 72 dpi, or what would you say is the optimal resolution to use? Now with Retina screens etc, I feel it has gotten trickier to understand what the quality of the images should be so as to ensure that they look good on all screen sizes and resolutions.

You should be fine if you use web-optimized images and then use a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache.

Hi! What a beautiful theme. I have a pre-sale question. I am always concerned about not having to rely on a very large images on a site. From what I can tell from the demo is that the most narrow post image when using desktop is around 800 px wide. Is that correct? Is there a single-post option with a slightly smaller image width?

There are certainly post layouts that allow for any size images, even if they’re 200px wide, such as this one: http://www.mvpthemes.com/zoxnews/aaron-judge-shows-why-its-unwise-for-fans-to-taunt-aaron-judge/

The image will be centered in that layout (and all layouts), so even if it’s smaller than the 800px width of that column, it will still display there just fine.

When viewing the page you linked to on a 15-inch laptop, the post image is 822 px wide.

Cool! It sounds great that the image will always be centered, making it less important to adhere to a certain width.
