Our demos might appear slow, but this is only because we are showcasing lots of images with the highest quality. As such these images are not optimized and are making the load times higher. Also, our demo pages try to showcase all options at once, so you can see all the possibilities the theme could offer.

How do we know than it can run smooth as well? Loadingtime now is average of 11 seconds per page. Thats really too much, no customer would wait that long. Our current site is around 2-3 seconds.

Page loading time depends entirely on your content, server power and 3rd party assets you’re using, so if you optimized your images well and you don’t have any large audio or video files uploaded, your site should run fast and without problems. Basically, it’s really up to you how will you handle your own content.

I downloaded and installed the Academist Theme on a server wich isn’t connected to internet. This theme needs a lot of plugins that i need to download on my computer and then upload them on the dashboard. Where can i download these plugins ?

When it comes to admin account, functionalities are the same, only admin has access to back-end Dashboard and all theme functionalities. Unfortunately we don’t grant admin access for live preview, we can only screenshot theme interface, if that’s what you’re asking.

Academist is currently not fully compatible with Gutenberg. We have an update for this, ready to be released. Until then, we provide all users with the files that needs replacing, so even without an official update, users who want to use Gutenberg are able to.

Yes, of course, we included “First Main Color” option, so just choose your color and majority of elements on your page will change their color. Other elements of the page have their own color adjustment, so just quickly go through your page and change color for couple of elements.

When it comes to 3rd party plugins, you have to understand that we didn’t and couldn’t test all plugins out there with our themes. Of course, some compatibility issues might occur once in a while and there’s nothing we can do about that. The official plugins we provided bundled inside our theme are the ones that are tested several times before the theme was launched and we guarantee their functionality. If you’re having issues with any other plugin you downloaded yourself, please refer to the author of the plugin or the team behind it.
