Within that function, look for the lines:

$previous_post = get_next_post();
$next_post     = get_previous_post();

and alter them to be:

$previous_post = get_previous_post();
$next_post     = get_next_post();

Thank you! This is what I ended up doing. It is useful to get your confirmation that this is the easiest way. For anyone else reading this thread, I’ll quickly outline how to make this update proof. Copy this function to your child themes functions.php file and rename it (you can’t call 2 functions with the same name). Then change the 2 places that this function is called in the single.php file, to the new name you gave it in your functions.php. And save this new singles.php in your child theme. This way the function is called from your child theme, and the function is in your child themes functions.php. Any updates to Salient will not affect the changes.

There’s a CSS snippet which is causing it that Salient is not adding:

body {
    margin: 0;
    position: relative;
    margin-bottom: 150px;
}

If you’re not sure of where that’s coming from, it’s probably a plugin. Once that’s removed the issue will be sorted.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have uploaded an original theme and using a child theme now pointing to the Salient folder as a template. The translation that I mentioned above – “Next” is now accessible and I can see it.

I still have another string that I would like to translate, but I can’t locate it in Loco translate. On the main page – https://connectingbrands.pt/inicio/, category display with images. When you hover it says a number of products on that category. The string “products” is not present in Loco translate. I can’t locate it…

Is there something I’m missing?

I’ve noted to add this string into the .pot file in the next update, for now you can search for it in nectar/nectar-vc-addons/nectar-addons.php file in the function called “nectar_grid_item_markup”

Hey rowandg, no matter how many times I try with new tabs or new windows I can’t seem to get this to occur. Are you also seeing it happen with the Salient demos?

Weird.. good to hear it works on your end of course. Salient demo’s work fine as well. Strange thing is, my co-worker can replicate the problem on his PC as well. mobile works fine though. It occurred right after updating everything (WP 5 / Salient 10 / WPBakery 5.6). WPBakery Front-end editor is broken as well, it only shows a white overlay with bakery logo… maybe something went wrong with the update process?

I have Salient WP Bakery Page Builder Version 5.5.2. It does not have an option to update, unless I pay for WP Bakery Page Builder. Is there a way around this, considering it came with the Salient theme?
