Hello there, im testing theme on my localhost. However, after changing the localhost on Xampp to my local IP. I have problem like everything works fine, except on the ark menu, I got duplicate on the url. Like when editing the default header on ark menu instead of

Do you have correct site/home URLs via “WP-admin > Settings > General”? This sounds like a general WordPress migration issue rather than a theme issue by the way.
If you didn’t already, flush your Ark cache as well via “Ark > Dashboard > System Status”. Maybe the old site pointers are still cached there.

Could you, please, use the 80 port? You are using the 8080 and this is a problem for WordPress (and Ark as well) to re-write some URLs. Switching to 80 should solve your problems.

I bought the theme because of its ads. but now I am disappointed. There are too many features and these features are simply not available. You have to spend a lot of time learning how to use the theme.
Also, all of the themes shown in the live preview section of the theme do not appear when you load the theme. there is much less. When you set up the main theme, the pictures look very bad and it’s too complicated to use.
If I couldn’t use the revoluotion slider plugin, it was a complete disappointment. wants the activation code. The ticket response time is between 30 minutes and 14 hours, but 20 hours have passed, but the answer still has not arrived.
Another bad feature of the theme is the support videos for a monthly fee of 7 dollars. I expect that the detailed use of the theme I buy as a customer will be shared with me free of charge. I guess this is what everyone expects. However, free support videos are quite inadequate for such a complex theme.
in short, it doesn’t look like a very ideal theme for those who simply want to edit the site. you need to spend a lot of time to master the properties. I’m gonna give the theme a little more chance, and I’m going to keep screwing. If I can’t find what I expect, I will ask for a refund.

I have bought your theme and used for some months, I am facing a problem I couldn’t find a topic about… in the same section I have set up 2 buttons, “more info” and “buy more”, when i try to put each one in one different color, the other button goes the same color i chose… I can’t manage to have 2 color, one for each, they go the same as i define last in any of them. I am using a menu entry with submenu items. On a mobile device this menu item only expands when clicking on the arrow that shows up when using a mobile device. Is there any possibility of making the whole row / text clickable? So that wherever I click on that row, the dropdown menu appears?

This is not possible, this is a Bootstrap menu designed to open the links on first click so the arrow is used to expand the sub-menu.

Hi, I just found out that your theme was conflict with WooCommerce Multilingual on the Checkout page. Here’s the screenshot (https://prnt.sc/mh1kdo). It’s on my staging site. The error make the look so weird (on red box) and can’t switch the currency and payment option.
When I change to other/default theme, there’s no issue. Do you know what’s wrong and how to fix this?

Are you using a Fresh Builder in your T&C pages? If so, could you, please de-activate the Fresh Builder? There is a WooCommerce filter, which is filtering the page and interfering with Ark. We cannot disable this filter, because it would lead to a greater problems with WooCommerce

Anyway, another question. why there’s only one template for the Product Archive on Sitemap (https://prnt.sc/mhbypu)? We can’t make specific template for other language. Do you have some tips on how to make it like the other (can have different template for different language)?

What I usually do is use the “IF” element with this code inside of it:
if (ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE==’es’){ return true; } else { return false; }
The above code in the IF element will make so that any other elements inserted inside this IF element will be printed only on Spanish language for example.

So you can for example insert Template element inside IF element, that works great for me.
By the way, a code similar to above can be used within PHP element as well if you don’t want to create Templates for something small such as one line of text etc.

Hello all, I receive the following message when I am trying to install this to my adminstrative console “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” Although I have read the instruction neither I have tried to install a wrong zip file nor it is a non wordpress site as well. If you are trying to directly upload the ZIP file you have downloaded from ThemeForest, it will not work because that file contains more files than just the theme files you need. So please unzip that first ZIP file and inside it find another ZIP file called something like “ark-upload-this.zip” which you can then upload to your WordPress installation.

Hi, i don’t know how I did it but in altering some text colours all the button (hover states) have changed – is there somewhere on the dashboard where I can return the CSS to how I had it originally as I can’t find a global styling for the buttons (even in ‘global’)? thanks

You have probably change some color slot in Global Color Library by accident. The Global Color Library can be changed via any color input option or slots #1 and #2 are also located (extra) in “Theme Options” panel.

One comment: I want to use owl carousel for custom code and can use your css and javascript as you have it allready, but you use an old version that has some errors. Can you please update? Now I need to disable your javascript and load an other version… :/

We do not plan on switching to Owl Carousel v2 because it is not backwards compatible with v1 and there is a general consensus that v2 is not very good and comes with many new bugs that affect even the simplest of solutions so we think it is not production ready. My advice would be to leverage OC v1 or simply use a different slider plugin (not OC v2). I will look into the double inclusion you have mentioned, it’s probably not needed as you have said and take care of it for the next update.

I now disabled your version and loaded mine, what I want is working now (dont know if your carousel still works, but luckely I dont need it in this project).

The built-in carousels will no longer work when you unload the v1 scripts. But if this approach works for you and your site then it’s okay. I think there are issues with v2 scripts if you don’t unload v1 scripts of that plugin so it’s probably a must anyway. Again, I would recommend a different plugin for your next project as it’s not a very stable plugin (v2).

Please search in the Element Library for “woocommerce” and you will find many many WC elements for this there. Most of them are for advanced functionality but there should be one that is easy to use out of the box (should have a screenshot of woocommerce product row as a cover picture).

I’ve tried installing this theme about 5 times using all methods and keeps saying the link has expired. How can this be solved?

Don’t worry, we will sort this out with you! This happens because one of 2 main reasons:
A.) Your PHP upload limit is small. Ark is stuffed with pre-defined content (for your easier usage), so its little bigger than your usual multi-purpose theme (it has around 60mb). The solution here is pretty easy – install the theme via FTP:
http://arktheme.com/academy/tutorial/upload-via-ftp/B.) You are uploading wrong package. You need to upload file “ark-UPLOAD-THIS.zip”. You might be mistakenly uploading the whole package you downloaded from ThemeForest and this leads for this error. If this is the case, simply unzip the main package from ThemeForest, locate the “ark-UPLOAD-THIS.zip” and upload this.

I have 19 licenses of this Theme template, So i like the template very much. Support wise I am not to pleased, here is their latest response to me when I called out their support tech for being lazy, “No, I can’t type it for the picture. Also your aggression and insulation toward my person is just enough. We won’t be able to provide you with any more support” So there you have it, I get no support anymore because I wont accept sub standard support… You decide. I do really love the template however!

Every story has 2 sides. Although we really appreciate your purchases and you somehow forgot to mention, that:
- in the history, we exchanged more than 300+ emails and helped you with 74 support requests.
- your description of issues is really vague, usually misspelled few sentences sent through mobile phone. I understand, that this saves your time, but it wastes our time
- your sites have installed tens of plugins and you typically blame Ark for every error first, which is not related to Ark but to your plugins. This can be avoided, if you de-activate the 3rd party plugins, which we are asking you to do every single time and it solves most of your issues.
- we would be able to handle most of these because we want to provide awesome customer service. But you are dealing with us without any sign of respect, just like we are a piece of crap for you.
If you screenshot me your credentials (instead of copy-pasting, so you can save 30 seconds), it takes me a couple of minutes to re-type them. Since credentials are usually not words, but random letters, it also takes me multiple tries, because often I do not type it right for the first attempt. Last but not least, this shows absolute disrespect towards my person. And believe me, I have better things to do with my day, than re-typing credentials after you

The CEO of Freshface, Tomas Herudek, and me just simply disagree on what support means, his last comment to me via email states his position pretty well “Robert, I simply do not care anymore. You are a toxic person and I do not want to deal with you anymore, because any conversation with you just pisses me off. My usual hourly rate is $120 / hr and even if you would pay me $300 per hour, for the sake of my mental health, I do not want to ever cooperate with you again. I do not wish you anything bad and I do not want to spend hours in these meanless correspondencies. My decision is final and can’t be changed.”
Here is the root problem, when you upload the theme one of the plugins you will receive a plugin called “Advanced Custom Fields PRO” this is the ONLY plugin that does not update automatically from Freshface. The support team at Freshface have to do it manually for you or you have to purchase a license directly from the ACF company and then it will do it automatically as well.
That is the crux of our disagreement, updating this plugin. Now everything I say in the above paragraph did not come from Mr. Herudek, I read it on other comments from other users here, and instead of simply relaying that info to me, he gets all whiny with me because I choose to not send him a user id and password for my site in a text format via email, probably the most insecure way to pass this information to him and his team. I have another email where he says that he is unable to write the letters out from a image as it takes him to long, and that it is easier for me to simply cut and paste it for him than it is for him to type out the letters.
So I’m toxic because I call BS on his reasoning for not wanting to do it his way! LOL, ok then to him I’m toxic. This template does work, but the support does not. If you only have 1 or 2 instances of using this template most likely you will like it, but when you manage many many sites and the fact that this one plugin will not update, using this template can become quite frustrating. Most of what i said bears out when you read the other comments here, the good comments come from people that use it once or twice, the bad comments from people who have to manage numerous sites.
And for the people that use this template on multiple sites, here is a link to the ACF page where you can buy a unlimited lifetime license for around $75 USD. https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/ Just do it, dont get into a pissing contesct with Mr. Herudek about updating it. We also buy a separate license for Revolution Slider which is also bundled with ARK, as it does not update regularly with ARK either, so its definitely worth getting that license directly as well.

2.) ACF pro and Revo slider plugin licenses: We purchased the best possible license we could on both these products. This allows us to distribute the products with our Ark theme. And the license costs about $100 – $300 (not 100% certain right now). But the auto update is not part of the deal – this is the way how the guys from ACF and Revo slider are upselling their licenses. This is pretty common across almost all plugins, so I though, that this is pretty obvious, especially after you are claiming that you are 20 years in the business.
3.) Last thing, which is more kind of a small feedback. There were multiple moments in our conversation, where I was pissed of by your absolute disrespectful behaviour, but if you would just say “sorry man” and copy&pasted me the credentials, I would be able to continue our cooperation. Instead of this, you just escalated the pressure and started insulting me, which leads to this outcome. If you are keen for self improvement, as I am, then I would definitely recommend you to read this book:
