I’m also having trouble updating the theme through the back end. I’ve reset the connection Updates / Settings and have it connected with the proper product key. Every time I try to update it I get this:
Update Failed: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.
I have 10.4 currently. We can never get this to work properly and have to manually update everything. Please advise.
You will need to manually update the theme via FTP to v10.6+: https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=17 After you do this please verify you see ‘Envato Account Connected’ under Theme Options >> Update Settings If you do not then please connect your account and you should be good to go moving forward. 
i have problem with my license code… he indicates that I already use him. and the domain that is used is the same as the current only http and not https
I urgently need to make an update but that’s not because the license code is no longer working

Hi, After a recent update to the latest version the related listing item doesn’t seem to be clickable. It seems like a bug to me. Any ideas on a fix for this?

I saw one other person in the comments had the exact same error as mine when trying to update Slider Rev. Is there a solution you can publish? Not sure I want to pay extra support for debugging a routine theme/plugin update. I might just try to debug myself. Thanks though!
If you review the errors it is not pertaining to the theme or the included plugins, it is referring to core WordPress files which leads me to think there is some other issue going on, but without having access to your site and digging into it it is impossible to say for sure. If you can send us a link to the other user with the identical issue we can try and find an associated support ticket and see what the solution was, but outside of that you will need to renew your support and open a ticket with your website login details for FTP and wp-admin so we can debug the problem.
I have managed to update all the plugins error free, although I’m not sure why it now works and didn’t before. Caching maybe? The error initially came after updating WP Bakery using the WP plugins update directly (vs updating through Automotive theme). For reference, compas972 had the same exact Fatal Error code I did when updating Rev Slider. You can see his post comment here: https://themeforest.net/comments/21351071

It looks like in the compas972 support ticket there was an issue with the Envato Market plugin, do you have this plugin installed as well out of curiosity? Either way I am glad to hear you seem to have it sorted 
I do not have the Envato Market Plugin from what I can tell. But I am connected to Envato via WP for auto-updates. I do have listed under “Redux Instance: Automotive Wp” an “Envato Auth 1.0.1” extension… not sure if this is relevant or not.

Hello, I just purchased your theme. when I activate the AUTOMOTIVE LISTING plugin though, the site breaks (HTTP ERROR 500). Do you know what it may be?
500 error is an ‘Internal Server Error’ is typically some sort of issue with your web server or configuration on your web hosting. It won’t have anything to do with the theme if it was on a fresh WordPress install, however it is possible that it could be some sort of conflict if you had other plugins etc installed before installing the theme. If you can let us know what the error you are getting in your error log is we can better point you in the right direction to get it fixed.

Great theme! I’ve been trying to find my question in the comments but could not, so I decided to post a comment.
What I’d like to know is would I be able to show a discounted/different price to logged in users (dealers)? They don’t need to be able to post a listing or make any changes, just view a different price. This is one of the most important requirements my client have and I just want to make sure this would be a possibility (out of the box or with a plugin) before I buy.

Can you explain exactly how to add Google Analytics code? Instructions state “Please do not include the <script> tags.”, but GA code by default contains <script></script>. So, what exactly goes in Theme Options >> General Settings >> Tracking Code? Thanks!
Just insert everything that is between the script tags and delete the <script></script> – then you need to add the gtag script link under Theme Options >> Custom Styling >> External JS Scripts.

Do you have any theme examples with the front end submission? Does front end submission users have login to manage their listing? Are there separate accounts for all front end submission users?
We don’t have a demo of the Front End Submission at this time, but we do have a video and some more information if you want to send an email to sales@themesuite.com we can send it to you. Regarding the account that is correct, each user gets an individual account to manage their listings
How can I hide the portfolio category name from the “2 column portfolio details” page? Is possible to have a box for each of the portfolio item images with a uniform size, as my portfolio item images are of different sizes?

To remove the Sort By on the Portfolio and FAQ page just add this to the Theme Options > Custom Styling > Custom CSS::

I thought this is a public knowledge sharing forum where the information you provide here will be useful for other customers too. You know that I have purchased this theme and using this theme for my site. Now for sharing such a small detail – a CSS class name used in your theme, you are asking me to pay another $60? Do you think that this is a fair deal?
Hi Roni – We do occasionally provide custom CSS for situations that may arise and share it here as public knowledge. We had been asked a few times before about hiding the Portfolio row we have provided that custom code here for the benefit of other users. Since this is the first instance that we have been asked about hiding that specific area, and since it doesn’t have any sort of explicit class names on those elements, it is a bit harder to just provide a general ‘fix all’ type of code that will be applicable to all users.
It is also worth mentioning that you are not paying $58.63 just for a CSS class name, you are paying for an entire 6 months of support. You opened 37 support tickets in the first 6 months of support that are included with your theme license. Also if you had of renewed your support prior to it expiring it would only have cost $41.88.

Why no update to footer in latest download? public_html/wp-content/themes/automotive-child/auto_templates/footer_forms.php (Version: 14.0 | Current: 14.1)
The latest versions are included in the theme. I think you are misunderstanding what the message is saying, it is telling you that you have an outdated template file in your Child Theme. You should take the latest version out of the latest version of the theme and incorporate it into your customized Child Theme to clear this message. 
so child themes do not update like parent???
footer_forms.php does not exist in the newly downloaded child theme files, nor in the existing live site or live child theme. What am I missing?
The latest file is in the Automotive Listing plugin folder, not the theme. You can find the latest copy under wp-content/plugins/automotive/auto_templates/footer_forms.php and the message is telling you that your template file found under wp-content/themes/automotive-child/auto_templates/footer_forms.php is outdated. Updating the theme or plugin won’t automatically update child theme template files, you need to manually do this so your customizations will not get overwritten.

We haven’t had any other reports of this, are all of your plugins updated? and your theme? If not I would update everything and then fully clear your browsers history and cache. Hi, I can not update the theme.. Wp warn me: Failed download. A valid URL has not been provided. I have gone to my products and clicked on grab package products. Apparently the purchase codes have been updated. From wp, update options I have selected the corresponding code, it tells me that it is connected, but when trying to update the theme it tells me the same … Failed download. Envato recently implemented a rate limiting tactic to force everyone off of their old API and onto a new one. Because of this you will need to manually update your theme to at least 10.5+, and then go to Theme Options >> Update Settings and it will likely prompt you to reconnect your Envato account to the new API. After you do that you should be able to automatically update again going forward. Here are some links to knowledgebase items explaining how to manually update:

Is it possible to use the features embedded as shortcodes in another theme?
It is possible, but it may require some customization depending on the theme. Please note that this sort of customization is not included within the scope of our theme support as we only guarantee the Automotive Listings plugin will work with our theme, but we can provide you with a quote should you need any assistance getting it working 
Hi – love the theme. I have created a number of Listing Categories and loaded inventory with values for each. But for some reason the “Use On Listing” box is disabled. How do i make it so I can list some of these categories on the vehicle details page?
