I am really satisfied with this theme. It’s online already https://raakacademie.wijzijnraak.nl although I need some finishing touch. The support team helps greatly. Well, from the first look we can assume there needs to be some sort of additional code implementation to connect these two. Academist is compatible with Event Calendar plugin, however we never tested specific functionality, sorry about that.

Unfortunately we don’t have such an option by default, sorry about that. You can only prevent registration or allow it, but you cannot control who will be able to register.

Hi! 1. On documentation you go over both the Team post type and the Instructor post type. I can’t seem to find the Team page on your demo. Could you clarify that please?
2. Could you please tell me what fields there are for the Instructor/Team post type?
3. I’d like to have an additional tab on the Team/Instructor post type for publications. Maybe another one could list blog posts in case Instructor is a user. Would it be easy to extend the post type like that?

1. As far as we can see, there’s no Team section in here. We replaced that with the Intructors section.
2. For each instructor, you can insert his basic info, which can be seen on this page – https://bit.ly/2CHRGPw and all assigned courses will show up on his page automatically.
3. Unfortunately such an option is not available by default. It would take some changes in template files to achieve this. Sorry about that.

Your “theme features” description here on ThemeForest also mentions “Team shortcode”, “Team Carousel shortcode”, “Team List shortcode”, “Team Slider shortcode”, as well as “Instructor shortcode”, “Instructor List shortcode” and “Instructor Slider shortcode”. It seems your documentation and theme description are outdated, then?
2. Yes, I had checked that page on your demo before contacting you. I would be interested to know what fields you have, particularly for the “curriculum” tab. I see a “My education” and a “My expirience” (sic) section. Are those post fields? Is each entry (like “Harvard University”, “University of Michigan”, so on) a field entry, or is it just a single textbox for those sections?

1. So, could you please let me know what the difference is between Team and Instructors?
2. Ours is not a LMS website, but rather an institutional homepage for our department, so we would have no use for Courses. Could that be disabled so we can use the rest of the theme?
3. Are there a template file for custom post types like Instructors? Or is it all within WPBakery? Is there a way I could get the template files, if it is all within WPBakery? I would rather not use WPBakery except for home page, I guess. I’m thinking about extending those tabs so I have a publications tab, and using Advanced Custom Fields to populate what you have as “My expirience” and “My education” sections in your demo.

1. Well, they are different custom post types, with different options available. Here’re options for team member – https://bit.ly/2FD9zQ8 Also, team member can’t be assigned to specific course, while Instructor can. Both Instructors and team members can be included in the list on your page, so you can showcase them.
2. If you don’t want to sell or publish courses, you can feel free to turn off LMS plugin, however, in that case Instructors custom post type will not be available.
3. There’s a template file for instructors, however this template file contains predefined meta boxes, as well as the_content() function that displays WPBakery elements on the post. So, basically, half is made out of meta boxes and half via WPBakery page builder.
When it comes to 3rd party plugins, such as ACF, you have to understand that we didn’t and couldn’t test all plugins out there with our themes. The official plugins we provided bundled inside our theme are the ones that are tested several times before the theme was launched and we guarantee their functionality.

Hi! I bought the Academist template because I am developing a web page for online courses and I have some difficulties: 1. All the web page must be in Spanish because the company is located in Mexico. There are some titles and subtitles that I need to personalize and I cant because i found that the code is restricted. 2. It takes a long time to load the page especially the menus 3. The widgets regarding the ratings and number of studens also must be in Spanish
I would like to have total access to the main code in order to make all the changes mentioned or your support to do the translation of the buttons/titles and subtitles.

hi, I installed the template and recommended plugins at the time of installation. I installed the “slider revolution” plugin which, from what I understand, is what the slide of the home works with. however it does not work on my website and this error appears (Revolution Slider Error: Slider with alias main-home not found.), what can I do or how can I correct the error.
