Hello, I have really enjoyed this theme at my portfolio website www.elisabethcraster.com and I am eager to keep using it. However, an issue was brought to my attention by an art director (potential client for me) and I am eager to see if I can resolve it while still using Crane.

However, if someone clicks on one of these images, the navigation arrows “flip” the order of the images. So here, if I click on the second thumbnail, I’d expect to have to click on the LEFT arrow in order to go check out the art shown in the first thumbnail. Instead, I have to click to the right. I hope the screenshots illustrate my point of confusion. I have tried changing the ascending/descending toggle, but this has only changed the thumbnail order on the home screen, and done nothing to change the arrows. And, additionally, I do want to keep the thumbnails on the home screen with the most recent first.In addition, I wonder if it’s possible to change the style for one category without changing the others—not sure if I could link a new page in somehow. What I currently have is one portfolio serving as the home page, with links to distinct categories as the navigation. But, I want to be able to click on “Book Covers” on the homepage and have the thumbnails at a different size than the current 300×300px. I know I could probably achieve this by converting the entire portfolio to a masonry grid, BUT I do rather like the look of the classic, fixed square thumbnails and am only seeking to change the look under one category. Is there a way to do this via linking a separate portfolio into the category navigation?

I fully agree that there must be a way to change the order of the navigation arrows. We will add this feature in the next release.
Concerning an additional question. The only way to change the size of thumbnails is through “Masonry image size” and “Masonry” layout. You could keep the current page as is, make a copy of the page and try to play around with the layout to see how it would look with Masonry layout.

According to the screenshot you have an odd number of menu items, this could be the issue, which can be resolved by custom CSS. Hey there. I have a problem after updating to 1.4.6 . I use the child theme, and after the update i am trying to change logo, but after uploading and saving the changes in Groovy menu dashboard, the logo doesn’ exist, neither on the site or the dashboard. Instead on the global settings -> logo tab, i get an empty space. I tried that with various of images, but it seems that the problem is not the image. Can you please provide a solution?

hey, i changed the name of the plugin in my vps, restarted everything, then once everything was ok i reinstalled the plugin and everything was ok
i was trying to write a ticket about a dropdown that work fine but once megamenu is ticked, the link are no longer clickable. the ticksy site always give me a popup with something went wrong doh :/
There were some issues with creating tickets on ticksy. If there are still any kind of issues with theme, please try again to create a ticket. Now it should work.

I made you an admin using all your requirements. what in the hell is going on here? I can’t change global settings. says it needs 1.5 or higher but have version 1.6.2.2 activated. i’m logged into support but can’t submit a ticket. I created a user grooni-support with the email support@grooni.com and you don’t get an email. I’m so perplexed. I have all these updated on a development server that were good to do now all the menus are shot and I can’t adjust them and the live site is still waiting on the new content. at a loss here.

Good morning, I have a very big problem with Groovy menus. I found out that for some menus (for example transparent with toolbar) saving button is not working so I cannot change settings at all. Moreover if I set a default menu in the Groovy dashboard and set “default” as menu in page options it is not assigning that default menu. Do you think it is a theme issue? Are you releasing an update for Wordpress 5.1? Any other suggestions? Thank you.

To set one menu for the whole site please navigate to Groovy menu > Dashboard > Global settings > Taxonomies tab and from there:
1) Set the Default preset for all content

Our theme is automatically friendly for mobile devices. These parts is already mobile ready: sections of the blog, menu, our widgets, and all demo pages.
But important for you to understand that all pages are creating in the page builder. You need to compose mobile view directly at WPBakery page builder.
Where is the license for Wpbakery page builder? I want to activate premium options.
Your documentation says this: All the premium plugins that come bundled with Crane theme are under the Extended License. That means:

Yet my visual composer builder does not have an activated license so I can not make use of wpbakery builder templates…
That’s right, all premium plugins bundled in theme package under the Extended license. WPBakery has the “extended license” too and you don’t need to enter the serial key.
But please Note: You will be able to use all the features of the plugins except the premium features. For the premium features, you will have to buy a separate direct license.
You can’t use WPBakery templates. The same situation with Slider Revolution sliders library and with addons
Big problem; your theme does not recognize newly added templates. I added a new .php file to the theme folder, both the child theme and the normal. On both they do not show down on new page under page attributes…..

Because when I create a custom css rule and add that css tag to a menu item it just fills the entire menu item section, it doesn’t make a small nice button.

You have a nice theme, but I don’t think the way you arranged setting menus is user friendly. It worked for now, but it’s very hard for me to test what menu I like best. I have to constantly go through different pages and click and save and change the global settings again. It’s frustrating. Would’ve been better if it was able to be set in customizer.

Because elementor visual builder can do that but I don’t think elementor will work with your theme right? Do you have any other option for me to get a design like in the picture on the homepage slider?
If by slider you mean the slider plugins such as Slider Revolution ot Layer Slider (both come bundled with the theme) it should be achieved by creating a necsessary amount of slides with the custom background each (like specified in your screenshot)
Please correct me if I get it wrong.

The ihover box is created to be used with hover effects. You should choose another element for example Content box https://nimb.ws/QHvDXP . The Content box element has many useful options, such as background, padding/margin, shadow, height etc. and also can contain any type of content inside https://nimb.ws/aVTPNw
No frontend editor?? are you kidding me?
The reason why the frontend editor disabled is that we faced rendering issues in Frontend Editor mode while using with custom widgets and some 3rd party plugins that add functionality such as Ultimate Addons and Massie Addons which come bundled with the theme. We will turn it back with the next update.
