Does salient have CSS styling for the woocommerce composite product extension?
I spoke to the Woocommerce support they said that the theme is missing css styling for this extension so things on the product page don’t look to good, for example the quantity selector is just a number with nothing to suggest it is the quantity. Also selected component product images display at full width forcing the other content underneath rather that to the side. I have a site that I haven’t looked at in a short while. When I go to edit the page, I see the VC short codes in a text editor with the WP Bakery Builder, below it with the message “YOU HAVE BLANK PAGE START ADDING CONTENT OR TEMPLATES”. I know that “Visual Composer” is now WP Bakery, but I would think I could still edit my site. Am I missing something?

Are you using the latest version of Salient (v10+) and the current version of the Salient WPBakery page builder (v5.7)?

Would you consider updating h2 tags for woocommerce templates? You have the following: Cart (Top header), Reviews (Reviews title under Reviews Tab), Related products (Bottom block) all marked up with H2 tags which is bad for SEO

1. WooCommerce is generating those h2 tags from the core, it’s not a Salient modification to the output – however i’ve noted to look into modifying them.

Hi there, I’ve recently launched a salient project and would like to know how to take care of some minor issues. The website is www.vjv.io
1. When the page loads, there are 2 icons in the menu that are purple and red. However as you scroll down these colours change to their default state, how can I stop/fix this please?
2. The footer in the bottom on a mobile screen shows as 3 columns stacked on each other. Is it possible to show 2 stacks (1 column 100% width, and then 2 columns underneath at 50%).
3. Thank you for making this awesome theme. Is there any recommended way to speed up the website, using various cache boost plugins like Swift Performance, etc seems to break the site or various CSS so I’ve just left it for now. I’ve turned off all sliders/admin/etc and tried to minimise the number of plugins but there are quite a few enabled right now. Anything to speed the site up would be appreciated, happy to pay for it too.
4. You, your team, your designs are genuinely awesome. Not sure if you get noticed or praised enough but just wanted to say that having this many sales/fans/tickets/etc means you’ve created something awesome and definitely one of my top 3 themes ever!

Good morning,
we are having problems with the wpbakery page builder for the Salient theme. It no longer seems possible to add new items, even using the Front End Editor.
Clicking on ”+” nothing happens.
Furthermore, we encounter other small problems, such as when we try to modify the “Fancy Box” blocks, the modal window remain fixed at the bottom.
We are trying to disable all plugins, but the problem remains.
Both the theme and the wpbakery plugin are updated to the latest version.
How can we solve the problem?

Hi, how do I remove/reset the ” text-transform” properties theme-wide? I started removing (like: text-transform: none!important;) but noticed there are several stylings were the first letter is capitalized which looks just wrong in some languages.

Hey, I think I found a bug in the theme configuration. If you have created a row with icons in it and set the option “Exclude this row from passing its background/text colors to the header” for the row, the icons are no longer displayed but are colored with a background color. I tested it with a Salient template General Product Features With Colorful Background. When scrolling, the header should not assume the background color.

Hey dmallon33, it looks like you have that color specified in the page header settings metabox. Please check your page and verify that no values are set for the background color or header height: https://ibb.co/7y5W7NT If you updated from a old version, the Nectar Slider used to automatically remove the page header even when one was set, that since changed as of 9.0 and a page header can be used as well as a Nectar Slider on the same page.

Hi my body font colour keeps defaulting back to grey, especially on a mobile (varies from computer). I have chnaged it to black in my settings ‘000000’. Its also effecting the blog excerpt text etc. Is there a way to make all text black….. keep gettng this issue?
Hey again alisonleon, checking your site and inspecting the code I can see that #000000 is the active coloring. You can try to use this to smooth out cross browser rendering:

Salient offers the ability to add text above the main nav via the secondary header bar in the theme option (example). If you go the plugin route, css would be needed to move the sticky main nav bar down to make room.

When you say secondary header bar you refer to the one on top or the “secondary navigation” of salient which is places NEXT not above? please let me know how to do it asap and thanks for your replies

It would require custom file modding as well to get the needed markup there and JS if you wish to make it function the same way as the normal search. You can find the file at includes/partials/header/secondary-navigation.php

My setup is using Page Cache and I’m not seeing any glitches but I was just wondering why page cache is not recommended?
3. Is there a way to combine google font requests made by the theme? I’m using the default extended font (Open sans) and it is making 4 requests to fonts.gstatic.com

1. Have you tried to specify a font size for the h2 tag in the Salient options panel > typography > general HTML elements tab? Once you do so, you can then use the Salient options panel > typography > responsive settings tab to control the responsive sizing.
2. There’s nothing that would conflict, we just didn’t include it as apart of the guide since we only covered the basics.
3. What you’re seeing is the individual .woff2 files loading from Googles server for the requested font weights. If you’d like to modify the weights, you can do so in nectar/helpers/enqueue-styles.php
4. We have added support for Popup maker which can be seen here: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ecommerce-creative however it’s possible we still may add own later on.

Hi there, I’m just wondering is there a way to set up the image gallery so it shows the ‘active’ image big and then the rest of the gallery in thumbnails beneath it, and then clicking a thumbnail replaces the big image with that one? Kind of like how woocommerce gallery looks but for portfolios? Thanks
