Hey xploodsa, have you tested this with the default WordPress theme enabled to verify that it only occurs with Salient active?
Since Wordpress is updated to V.5, Visual Composer doesn’t work on pages anymore, It only shows html which become very hard to editing, How to resolve it? Thank you

After a month of additional support, there has been no word about the issue with the shopping cart appearing empty after adding products. It is not the plugins (all were disabled). None of the perfunctory suggestions I’ve received so far have lead anywhere useful. Does anyone know what other issues may be responsible?

I’m working on a client’s site that was built by someone else. There is an email and phone above and below the logo in the header. For the life of me I can’t figure out where/how to remove them. Site is https://out-foxed.ca.

Nevermind. I figured it out.
1. For https://out-foxed.ca/about-us/ is there a way to move the header image up so it is fully behind the menu? Or even if I can make the color behind the menu the same olive color as the header image would be fine.
2. How do I add padding to the left of the logo in header? The header padding in Logo & General Styling just seems to affect top and bottom.
Hey deuce25, I’m glad to hear you were able to sort it the first query you had. In regards to the new ones:
1. You can activate the “Use Transparent Header When Applicable” in the Salient options panel > header navigation > header transparency tab
2. The logo usually has left margin by default, the version of the theme you’re using may have been modified to remove that.

Hello, I am currently helping a client update his website and the Salient theme is installed (https://linkendurance.com/). It appears his previous web developer purchased and installed the theme, so I do not have access to any of the purchase codes or resources. Currently, the theme is not working with the Wordpress Gutenberg editor (the theme is currently sitting at version 7.6 with no way to update it from the wp-admin console), so my assumption is the theme needs to be updated in order to be compatible with WP 5.0+. However, because I do not have access to the original files or purchase info I am unable to do so. Can you advise the best way to handle this issue? We would like to continue to use the theme, but obviously can not make the changes/updates we need to until the theme is updated. Please let me know the best way to handle this. Thank you!

Thank you, but unfortunately I don’t have any info on who the previous designer was so contacting Envato won’t help. Just to confirm, if we repurchase the theme and install/update it that way, will it fix the compatibility issue with WP 5.0?

Hey lnbbroductions! If you switch into the “page loading issues” tab, you’ll see:
“Page partially loaded: Not all page resources could be loaded.”
Google can timeout when loading sites through that test and fail to download all assets. This should not occur when minifying assets to reduce the number of requests. Do you currently have minification enabled on your setup?

I just switched over to siteground. I feel like all around not including just how fast it could be, nearly everything is superior. I just got 3 seconds off my load time. Pretty unreal.

It looks like from the pingdom screenshot, the same thing is happening which I mentioned previously – the stylesheet is not finished loading before the test runs. Which plugin are you using for caching/minification?

Hi – Thanks for the reply. I was using Hummingbird Pro as I have a WPMUDEV account and had things working but then it got to the point where the pages would just spin and not load anything.
Can you let me know what are the critical elements that need to load first or that shouldn’t be combined/moved to the footer? Both JS and CSS? Any insight on the portions that must be kept standard would definitely help. I’m trying to wrap my head around getting better page scores with all of the sites I have clients using your theme. I’ve referenced your guides but was curiosu if there was more detailed scripts/css files to NOT combine/move to the footer.

As long as the plugin respects the normal order which css/js is enqueued, nothing should need to be excluded. Is it possible that there were some other features activated within the plugin to load all the JS asynchronously? If so, disable that as it would likely cause issues.

Can you try disabling the lazy load feature on your WP Smush Pro plugin? The blog element will need to be excluded from that logic when using a masonry style since without the images loaded, the initial layout won’t be able to calculate correctly.

Hi again, actually I have been using this plugin for quite some time and never gave me problems. Either way, I have deleted the plugin and disconnected many others but the problem still remains. What else can I do to solve the issue??
I have fixed the issue. The problem was inside Smush Pro that I had active Lazyload.

Hi, I’m trying to link tab pannels using links on the same page and I have stumbled upon this script:

it works just as expected (I just have to change the URL link in the button option to #tab-0 etc.) and it swithces to the corresponding tab. My issue is, I would like an images to be the link instead of the button element. When following the same path, change the image’s URL link to #tab-0 it doesn’t work. I gather its because it is specified in the script a.nectar-button. I figured changing this to image would solve the problem, but i simply can’t find the same kind of pointer for images.

If you do not wish to change the header layour, you can add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

Hi there, I’ve just updated to v10.0.4 via ftp. The site is accessible except for all Salient menu options when logged in as admin, e.g. General Settings, Accent Colours, Boxed Layout etc. Has anyone come across this before? Cache cleared and checked in all browsers, the same result occurs; white screen upon accessing any Salient options within WP admin.
I did the usual deactivate all plugins and this cleared the issue and activated them one by one but I couldn’t identify any culprit. I’ll check error logs.

prettyPhoto has not been included with Salient for a long time – the two options are Magnific or fancyBox3, what version are you using? Also, Salient doesn’t offer a custom content modal element, for that you would need to use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/popup-maker/
