Hi There, I’m using this theme again for a rebrand of one of my sites, but I am having huge issues importing the demo content (for 3 days now) where it hangs on 60% and doesn’t move. Everything in the PHP options is set to the highest, with 300 seconds for server time out, I’ve spoken to my hosting and increased the CPU memory which is no longer maxing out. What is going wrong? I’ve tried just installing the widgets and it’s still doing the same thing! Any help is greatly appreciated.

We are happy to hear that everything is working properly now.
There is no option within the theme to place an image within the header, however you could set it using simple custom CSS or by setting a page title area and using simple CSS to make it sticky.

Hello there, I followed the instructions to setup a sidebar on the woocommerce shop page.

Having a strange issue with the menu order not saving. Certain items default to these certain positions no matter how I drag them around. Disabled all plugins down to the core ones even some of those are disabled but still have the issue. Any idea?

I enabled a side bar on a page but I would like the sidebar and content to both be in grid.. how do I accomplish this?

If your page template is not full-width and your sidebar is set to appear on your page, then the content and your sidebar should fit inside the predefined width of the grid. If you don’t have a sidebar, then the content will stretch to the full width of the grid. The plugins that you got after the purchase are called bundled and we, as a theme authors, have purchased an extended licence for them. That means you don’t have to activate them and they’ll work for you regardless of that.
In the following text we’ll explain how the bundled plugins work:
Bundled plugins offer the same core features and functionality as the standalone version of the item on CodeCanyon.
Some plugins may ask for a purchase code for registration/activation once installed, however, you can simply ignore these messages as bundled plugins do not require activation or registration. The plugin will still work as intended with the theme once the theme has been activated/registered.
When a plugin is updated, the theme author will include the latest version of the bundled plugin with their next theme update. So you can easily update the bundled plugin when you next update your theme.

We are sorry for misunderstanding, if you want to add portfolio list element to the portfolio single page you can use portfolio custom template like shown in the screenshot https://www.screencast.com/t/vWuscGzG3rDm
It will allow you to add any element to the portfolio content with the page builder that you need to activate by navigating to Dashboard > WPBakery Page Builder > Role Manager > choose a role > set Post types to Custom > check the post type portfolio in order to activate page builder.
In this way you will be able to add portfolio list to the portfolio single content with the filter enabled.
Other than that there’s no other possibility to use filter in the portfolio single pages.

So what is that? That does not look like the original on the demo site …. I must confess that I regret the purchase of this tema … A simple category filter is not even available.

Support agent answered on your ticket. He provided you with solution on how to use filter on portfolio single. This isn’t something that is showcased in theme demo, and it is normal that it won’t look the same as on regular page especially when you are using left menu instead of top menu. If you want layout on some page like showcased in theme demo, for example this one https://demo.select-themes.com/capri1/gallery-three/ just reply to your ticket and provide a link to demo page, so support can clearly understand what you need to achieve.

We are having the same issue as FoxesBlog, we have had to restore twice and it is not related to the way the theme updates via Envato Market. Our hosting provider also informed us that the Core Plugin for your theme is failing. Please advise us on what we should do as it looks like we are not the only ones with the same issues.

Please try to follow this update procedure in order to solve this, since this is major update and we had to move some of the theme functionality to the core plugin according to new wordpress coding standards you need to update your theme using ftp connection.
1) Navigate to wp-content/plugins folder and delete current core plugin
2) Download latest theme files and overwrite your wp-content/themes/capri folder in order to update your theme
3) Install latest core plugin from the Appearance > Install plugins page.

We have done as you asked, and fortunately enough we created staging sites, both of which broke after following your directions exactly. That being said, we expect some assistance with this error and need for you to fix it ASAP… please do not take offense to this message but this is wasting so much time and unfortunately I had to charge my client for my time spent on multiple attempts at updating your theme, and your way simply does not work. Please advise us on what the next step is, do we pay for support which is $42 dollars so you can then use your time to fix your theme. We do love your theme, and this is the first issue we have ever had like this and have confidence you will fix it.

FYI this message was sent to your support team yesterday which is one of many and no one has gotten back to us. Please help: SEO is gone and your shop is gone. Hi There, I’m having issues with your latest update, at first I thought it was because I was on an older server with a lower PHP version, but I tried on another site (7 and higher) and it’s still having the same issue. I didn’t get a screen grab as I restored both sites to the old versions, it was too urgent to wait.
It seems to be the select core plug in is failing in the update. The update screen in the envato market is fine and as soon as you navigate away it comes up with errors and the site is only accessible via FTP or the cpanel.
Is this a known issue that you are working on? I use several of your themes and I will hold off updating any of them if they are not going to work properly just yet.

I tested Capri theme in my local installation but couldn’t replicate issues you described. In latest update we had to do some major changes in the theme and relocate some of the theme files into the core plugin according to the new wordpress standards inducted by themeforest.
It’s possible that theme didn’t update successfully using envato market plugin so I suggest to update your theme using ftp connection with your server.
If the issue persist please contact us at support@select-themes.com and provide wp admin and ftp credentials so we can try to update theme for you and see if there are any issues.

Ok thank you, would you recommend updating the wordpress version prior to updating the them or the other way around? I wish I took some screen shots! There were specific lines of code that were broken in the warning dialogues.

Wordpress update is not related with our theme update so you can do both way around but don’t forget to install core plugin after the theme update. You can install it from the Appearance > Install plugins page.

This has done it again, and I updated via FTP rather than the envato market plug in, the issue is the theme and it’s taken me hours to fix, please amend your theme so that it can be used…. I’m currently restoring from a back up from the week prior (for the second time) to actually be able to access anything. It appears that others are experiencing this as well?

I don’t see why I have to purchase support for something that is an issue within the theme and is a problem for other people? The below advice for fusedmarketing seems to have worked, I’m not sure why you just couldn’t give me the same advice?
Love all your themes and appreciate that they are usually very well written, I would however suggest taking a look at why this failure is happening. So far this has cost me about 17 hours of installing in several different ways every few days to check if it’s finally going to work only having everything break and then having to restore the site from a back up.

Hi there, this has since broken again and nothing will get off the 500 error, despite re-loading the site from a previous restore I did before any updates. If need be I can renew support, but there is no wp-admin to access now, only FTP and C-Panel, eek!

You can connect with your server directly using ftp connection and some ftp client like https://filezilla-project.org/ and then delete theme installation folder from the wp-content/themes, also you need to delete core plugin from the wp-content/plugins folder and you will get wp-admin access again. After this you will be able to install the theme and all required plugins through admin panel. You won’t lose any site content because it’s stored in the database.

I have puchased the theme a year ago and use it for my e-commerce website. The WP Bakery plugin is not working anymore (apparently the plugin needed to be uptaded). I followed the comments here to see how I could fix the issue (https://select.ticksy.com/article/11737/) and now I just created an internal error on my whole website by adding a line in my .htaccess (SubstituteMaxLineLength 10m)!!! How am I supposed to fix this plugin and HOW can i remove this line in my .htaccess knowing that I don’t have anymore access to the dashboard in wordpress

You can change .htaccess file by accessing files over FTP https://filezilla-project.org/ directly on your hosting account. If you don’t have access you should contact hosting service provider.
