What was your previous version ? Also please refer to the changelog and if you are trying to update from v5.x to v6.x then you can not mix your existing code from v5.x since v6.x is a complete rewrite from the ground.

Hi, I am not trying to upgrade the previous version, I just downloaded the latest version but when I try to access any demo inside default theme the css is not loading. Its all broken. i.e. themeforest-4021469-metronic-responsive-admin-dashboard-template/metronic_v6.0.3/theme/default/src/demo1/index.html

As stated in the doc and readme files you will need to install the build tools and run the gulp task to generate the assets. By default the assets are not included. Thanks for your feedback. At the moment Metronic default version does not include material form inputs and we can not recommend you a solution at the moment. Such solutions requires major integrating and tests in order to globally apply it for the theme.

Thank you for the comment, i found the file (layout.config.ts) but when i change the name of the logo or even put the (‘logo’: ’./assets/media/logos/logo-5.png’) in comment nothing happens and the logo does not disappear and does not change.. thanks

Yes, you can use any css/pure js(non jquery based) based component in Angular. You can use normal bootstrap inputs from ngbootstrap. The chat app are not fully working modul and you will need implement it fully with Angular to fit your project requirements.

Metronic Angular does not support SSR. We will consider adding it in the future updates. Angular version does not depends on jquery. All jquery plugins demo from default version are not included in the in the Angular version.

If I was to use the current demo 6 and integrate into my Angular solution (I would convert to Angular myself) is there any conflicts you think that could occur?

Yes, you can convert Demo 6 Angular by yourself by referring to one of available angular demos. The layout and structure is 95% similar.

No, Metronic is not automatically compatible with other freebie bootstrap themes. I would suggest you to use one of Metronic’s frontend suitable demos for your website if you need 100% compatibility.

Hi I tried going through the videos but not able to follow them for some reason, I just require a single/master CSS and single/master JS file that I can include in my own HTML pages and use the right classes so that it gets the metronic look

If you are not going to use the buildable version you can try to check the classic version(in the download package) where the precompiled css/js files are included.

The classic version has js/css assets that you can check in the HTML head and foot parts. However in order to have Metronic properly functioning you will need to include a number of css/js files that you can check in the classic version. You can use the index.html page and refer to the “used by all pages” comments and keep those js/css files included in your page.

Thanks for your feedback. The Angular version can use CSS and pure JS only features from the default demo. Those jquery based features are not available in the Angular version. However Angular has own unique features that are not available for the default version.

You can find the location for the skin’s SCSS and where it will be output.

build.demos.demo1.base.skins

You can choose either of it. We put in the BaseComponent, because it wrapped inside of the demo1, demo2, ... so on. You can also add the style into src\style.scss for global because you will use only one demo only. Eg. demo1.

Hi, I have a question,

Why not just use SCSS file all the time in Angular project. A SCSS folder in Assets that will contain all Metronic styles. And in the main src\styles.scss, we will refer to it, then we don’t need any cumbersome build output for CSS. We just let Angular CLI build and generate CSS for us automatically.

That will make people customize the style easier.

Current approach makes it easy to maintain both Angular and Default versions efficiently. The Angular version shares the sass with the default version and angular CLI only handles the Angular related files.
