Hi there, after installing the updates I still got some strange issues. Nectar slide > edit slide > link type isnt visible. I can’t change the buttons on homepage anymore.
When i open a page and want to change a text or image I always have to open and close the text editor (or another function) and the 2nd time I can change content.
When I deactivate Salient WPBakery Page Builder the link type settings are back in Nectar slider.

Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend. Question regardless of mobile. Entering our main domain byouspain.com, on the desktop, there’s a video in the header and for mobile is supposed to load an image. But for some reason, the video is always showing and breaking the responsiveness. My settings Page Header Settings > Video Background > Video MP4 and I have loaded a Preview Image for mobile. The preview image for mobile never loads. How can I fix this? Thanks for your time and support.

In the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab, do you have the option enabled for “Disable Video Backgrounds On Mobile Devices”?

Hi I’m trying to set up a single page with button to the Row ID in the header menu. this way visitors can get from the contact page to specific information on the main page. It worked fine before, but now i have the little snap menu at the right side and my buttons in the main menu are not working anymore. i used the http://website.com/#anchor and activiated one page scrolls support but cant seem to get it working again. any pointers?

In order to have that functionality you would need to use one of the other options for the “Single Product Gallery Type” in the Salient options panel > WooCommerce tab.

Yoast Breadcrumbs – full path not showing. For all pages they are working just fine, but within the Portfolio and the Blog the Yoast breadcrumbs are missing parent directories. LOVE THE THEME – longtime user!
EXAMPLE
For this URL… http://www.mysite.com/work/project/project-sample/
It should show: Home>>Work>>Project>>Project Sample
But instead shows: Home>>Project Sample
Same thing for the blog.
Is there a fix for this? Or am I missing something?
Hey brianlichty, Salient does not modify the output of the breadcrumbs Yoast generates. Single posts do not work the same way in regards to their “parent” – this is the default functionality offered from the plugin. Hey g_ignatov, the Landing Product demo is available in the demo importer tab inside of the theme options. The stock images are not included in that demo as most are from premium stock sites and the license would not allow for that. Are you missing sections or just trying to get the images?

You could copy the function “nectar_add_image_sizes” from the nectar/helpers/media.php file into a theme functions.php file and then modify the “regular” size. Once you’ve done so, this plugin would need to be run: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Hello, My website on mobile just doesn’t work. It looks like there is a dark overlay over the site. I’ve tried incognito, clearing cache and cookies, and different browsers and always getting this dark gray overlay. Richie84.com. Sometimes it workes if you reload it a few times. Hey kukennedy, you appear to be using an older version of Salient (8.5.3) If you updated to the current release, this issue wouldn’t occur. However, in the meantime if you just want to correct it with CSS, add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

Ok, I updated the theme and the plugin but now when I upload an image as a background and save it, it never appears. I go back into the row to re add the picture and it is as though I never uploaded the image?

I have been able to solve it thanks to your help, now I have a small problem I am trying to delete a row in the mobile version and another in the web version, I followed your article “Hiding Rows on Mobile / Desktop in Visual Composer” and this does not work, I have tried to add class to the css but it does not work either, I would appreciate your help.

When using the page full screen row option, there’s no way to hide rows from the setup with CSS alone. This is because each row is grabbed and turned into a slide (whether or not it’s modified with CSS). You can still hide columns on specific viewports, but in order to remove an entire row conditionally, you would need to deactivate the Fullscreen row option.
Ok I understand, another option that occurs to me is to be able to change the background images with css in the mobile versions so that it looks much better, is that possible?
Solution: I have deleted the background images from editor, I have included a class in each section, this class I have included the background image for each resolution, I hope this can help someone else who wants a solution to this small problem.

If you don’t want to modify the theme JS to add a gutter, you would have to use the !important on the width attribute to override the JS calculations. Is there any reason you don’t want to do that?

Hi, that’s not really a fix I’m afraid. It adds margin to the left and right of the first and last column (rather than any Nth child) and is not responsive. On anything other than desktop the layout is broken. Thanks.
You’ll need to keep the CSS inside of a media query to target the viewports as you desire. Here’s a modified snippet to also account for the side margins:

To hide the “More Details” button on portfolio items, you suggest this CSS solution:

(it’s from 4 years ago – i couldn’t find newer?)
But this solution breaks the lightbox feature of gallery images. There is no “View Larger” button as a result – because the CSS is hiding the first and therefore only button.

Hey. This is completely the opposite of the right answer. Please see our question. We do not want to hide the view larger button on a gallery instance!
We want to hide it on portfolio shortcode elements. We found it for the main portfolio page, within template-portfolio.php
But for portfolio elements this doesn’t do anything. Previously you suggested /Salient/nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php but this folder no longer exists?

I also searched within salient folder for all instances of “view larger” – found it in template-home-3.php and template-home-1.php but none of these seem to control the portfolio element
