Hello, I have changed from domain and when I try to reactivate the license it won’t work. Ah ok! No, events are displayed using the provided shortcodes or archives. Actually this is the most common usage for the 99.9% of our customers so the theme doesn’t feature alternative options. But the plugins you mentioned can still be used, the only thing is that you can’t expect the plugins and the theme to automatically mereg the contents and you have to manage them twice.

Any plans on adding HLS support to the player? I know there’s other WordPress audio players supporting this, but yours is the most pleasant one.
Hi, the problem of HLS is the variable bitrate, that is usually not very friendly with the players. Kentha has 2 engines: webAudio and HTML5. HTML5 is fine, is just a window on the stream, while web audio reads the music by a declared bitrate and isn’t actually very friendly of this format.
While you can cheat the player most probably, by adding #.mp3 at the end of the player, then in the Settings > Kentha Player option disable the Spectrum Analyzer.
This will cause the player to use pure html5 audio and HLS should work. But can’t guarantee as is really untested. AAC works for sure in that way.

Ps. Yes I know, that the URL is in inside, but yet that doesn’t help. The URL I gave contains a path to master-128000.m3u8, and that file has multiple .aac sequences. These sequences can be played, but they are only few seconds long and there’s a mathematical path provided within the .m3u8 file, which the player doesn’t know how to calculate.

Ok. Got an answer. HLS is not supported and there’s no plans to get it supported (just to clarify to other ones who might want to use it).
Hello! It seems we have planned to integrate HLS format actually, as I see it in the development roadmap. Anyway it seems there is no deadline as it is a significant change that requires quite some coding, so is not a 24 hours change.
But I’m sure in the helpdesk you received some alternative solutions…

But no, not really. Either to “code it myself”, “find another stream” or “buy a service to decode the HLS to mp3 stream”. I have over 50 stations I’m streaming, so that’s not an option. Streams are only HLS (aac segments) and there’s tons of free solutions (open source), but as I stated, I’m not a coder so I will hire one.
I hope this should be only few hours task for anyone familiar with the HLS, as the .js player script is already available i.e. on Github.
I’m sorry but about technical things I’m actually not able to provide precise evaluations, I take care more of features questions and presale questions.
You may actually receive a much better feedback in the helpdesk.
We usually provide at least information about the overall software architecture, involved files, function names and better procedures to apply changes.
For sure the solution is out there and probably is a matter of implementing alternative scripts in the player, but you may understand that for a stable implementation we have to first make sure the updated version still works fine for the 3000 existing installations, as stability is our primary concern
As I renamed the main folder, let’s say “foo” and the child theme to “foo-child” what sections do I need to alter in child theme to make it work with the theme? I changed the names in style.css, but I’m seeing php-code within the child folder aswell.
also, can the text-domain be changed as well?

Greetings. I`ve been watching your template for a few days and I love it. Ive bought your Slam template two years ago and I see thats been kinda replaced by this one so now I Have a few pre-sale questions.
- My site runs with Slam template, the artists, albums post will be available or operative when I migrate to Kentha?
- is the theme completely translatable with Poedit? I want to have it in Spanish but wanted to know if all the options are translatable (specially the “Read More” button on Article previews)
- Can I classify albums by music genre with a menu or list of music genres?
- Can I classify Artist alphabetically to make A – Z lists? For example: artist with “J Names “B” Names.
- On Home Page is there a way to resize the first main slider to make it smaller?
- On the music album cover photo.. can I make the click go to the album profile instead of play a song music on the player?

1) The data structure is basically the same, but we had to change the names of some variables. This means you just need to do a database search and replace after the theme change and it will find your pre-existing releases, artists and similar.
Our support can help with that, it just needs a free plugin and about 5 minutes of work.
2) Translation: yes, every string is translatable.
3) Genres: totally!
4) Kentha is a billion times more flexible than SLAM. It’s built on Page Builder and you can change every detail. So, yes, you can simply enable the container in the row containing the slider.

2.also if your look to the far right there is a section thats purchase album how i change that so that on every artist release it says Download instead of that.
3.In the album release section there is no option to duplicate like you can do with posts. Cause i rather be able to copy a release that would be faster for what im doing.

Whenever I delete the album which contains all additional songs, there is always an album added after my radio stations. Yes, actually is the next big thing coming out. Our problem was mostly with piracy because it was cutting out all of our budget and without a solution we didn’t have budget to maintain the product, so we had to focus on this issue first.
This is why the new changes, now a license can only be used on a single domain, and we won’t have losses for pirate copies anymore
So, normal development is back on track.
Also we are testing the best methods for creating the full-length waveform of the track to be displayed in the player, which is another cool feature

You’ve made updates and have not added features to the player such as playing tracks randomly and encrypting tracks. A beautiful player with no features like these is not good for a music website.

Thanks, I’ll wait for the updates, I really want these functions in the player. Regarding the encryption of the tracks, it would only use BASE64 to encrypt the url of the tracks. Some players here from ENVATO already have this feature.
Ah ok! Interesting idea, that’s actually not super hard to implement, I thought you were thingking about the same way beatport and soundcloud are now encrypting tracks: they breaks them in chuncks, each one with a different encoded address, so the download becomes totally impossible. This thing is super heavy to do and actually requires quite a server to run, as the CPU processing for this is pretty demanding.

2) Chart tracks: actually this is not really a possibility in the short period, because the play action requires its own button. But I like the idea and we can do an improvement research. I can’t promise a change in the very short time anyway.

Another thing i’m wondering is if you can configure the player at the bottom of the page to stay open as I notice on the demo it closes unless you hover over the play button with the mouse
This is simple, only requires a line of CSS. We already helped another cusotmer with this. You just have to ask to the tech support on the helpdesk, which we provide directly (is not a third party company providing copy and paste from the manual).

One last question….Is it possible to display the waveform of the MP3 file like Beatport/Soundcloud?
The function is under development, we already implemented the script to generate the waveform but we still miss the frontend implementation. I can’t say yet when it will be ready anyway.
The biggest limitation was actually the web audio HTML5 Support, which forced us to implement a server side system, in order to make the full spectrum available for every browser and device.
Let’s say everything is basically there, but nobody asked for it so we never completed this upgrade.
But please note I can’t give a precise date for this, not talking about years but for sure one month at least.

No, I’m saying that it took long cos we had to find a way to make it work on any browser as it needs to.

Hi, sharing sends the URL to Facebook, does not control the icon, as this is plugin territory. By default it uses the featured image of the page as Facebook icon. If you want to craft more in detail how the pages are shared and appear on facebook, setting a default picture if there is no featured image, default titles and more, you can use the plugin all In One SEO. It is not only the best so far SEO plugin, but it also controls at a very granular level the appearance of your site on social networks.
Once installed you’ll find a seris of “extensions” within its settings, of which one is Social NEtworks.
Once actived, a whole list of new settings will allow you to set many details of your social sharing appearance.
This is the correct way to do that, and to have your site appear exactly how you want.
Also, remember that social netweoks caches your site appearance, so yuo need to refresh it. For instance on Facebook there is this tool

Hi! 1) Yes icecast word perfectly and shows artist and title of the songs. We can help with the setup of the radio stream. 2) The theme is perfectly translatable. WPML is not openly declared but we have about a dozen of customers using it, without problems. If you encounter any issue, our helpdesk will help you fix it.
3) This is a completely different story, most of the smart tv does not have a complete version of the browser and does not have the full elaboration power to run a complex site with music players. Also, on smart tv, people usually can access to web radios directly.
This point is actually very interesting, and I think is a matter of brands and time as in a while a full browser will be totally workin, but is quite an early age for this.
While for instance on Xbox one (Edge) or on PlayStation, it works fine.

1) spectrum analyzer: some mobile can use it, some don’t, but it’s problem is actually that sucks a lot of cpu, the phone heats and consumes battery, so is not an efficient choice, and we disabled it. Also, some devices can’t read HTML5 data as are too old.
To be known that audio data requires the stream to allow the CORS policy. We helped many provider to enable this, while other had it off. Is a small line of code that allows to read the music frequencies.
But this is totally depending on the quality of the provider and their a ability to manage their server.
We can test your stream in advance and verify your cors policies, and eventually suggest alternative providers, or explain your provider how to enable it.
