Hey there!
After updating my website to the most recent Salient update, I noticed that all of my fonts via Safari are loaded as Times New Romance despite me changing the typography to “Lato.” Do you have any idea what might be causing this conflict?
I’ve even tried targeting via CSS the P and Span categories, but nothing changes the font.

You can control that functionality in the Salient options panel > header navigation > off canvas menu tab by using the “Off Canvas Menu Dropdown Behavior” field.

Hi The theme options and design are beautiful but according to Google page speed, this is not fully optimized. I have installed a fresh copy of latest theme and just enabled the plugins of theme.

A 403 error usually points to a security module on the server blocking the request. Can you check with your hosting company that Mod Security is not active and causing this?

Hello, I am using the Video Lightbox, which works well in Chrome and instantly autoplays the video. It’s not working in Safari properly – the lightbox with the video pops up but then it just shows a grey video screen and if you click on it it starts playing. I went through the comments and disabled page transitions etc. And idea why Safari doesn’t show the video?

No worries, highly appreciate the help!! Okay I changed it and the videos seem to be playing but now on Chrome the video has almost an offset of the viewport, are over 100% and on Safari still black

it seems as though you’re not on the current release of Salient where this functionality has been altered. If you don’t want to do the upgrade yet, try adding this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

Two minor questions:
1. On this page: https://finestri.nl/ you see 5 columns on the first row. On Mobile these are on 5 different rows. Is it possible f.e. to show on mobile two blocks next to each other?
2. In the menu we have a page ‘over ons’ but on mobile this is not clickable. It has sub-pages in the submenu as well. Can we fix this?

1. When editing each of the columns in the page builder, head into the “Responsive options” tab and alter the width for the mobile viewport as so: https://ibb.co/M55YwTz
2. You would need to change to one of the other “Off canvas menu styles” in the Salient options panel > header navigation > off canvas menu tab. Any of the non “fullscreen” styles will allow you to access another option called “Off Canvas Menu Dropdown Behavior” where you can control how dropdown items function

I’d like to remove the text (name and position) from the Team Member image. I’ve inserted the following code…

I’m building out a page that will serve as a conference “program” – settings set for focused mobile experience. The desktop version is functioning as desired, but mobile is still displaying text.

Salient does not require a license to be entered in anywhere within it. You just need to own a license to legally use it on a domain – so as long as you own 2 licenses, you can use it on two domains even if you switch the domain names

I am trying to get the Cookie Consent by Osano banner to work in the top of each page (https://cookieconsent.osano.com/)
I know there are Wordpress plugins to achieve a similar thing, however I would prefer to implement via GTM so I can serve dynamically following a country lookup.
Currently – I know the banner is being inserted, however it appears behind the primary & secondary navigation menus – is there a ways to ensure these push down to make room for the cookie consent banner?

I’ve added both the original banner code, and the CSS fix you suggested directly into the <head> now.

I have a question regarding Serve Scaled Images via GT Metrix. I get a score of Zero anytime I use the blog element on a page. My scores are typically 96, 93 without the blog. However, once I add it to the page, that score drops drastically to 83, 93.
Is there anything I can do to remedy this on my end without a plugin? I like my plugins utilization to be as lean as possible.
For example, if using the masonry option, what are the ideal dimensions? My images were originally designed for the wider standard size (1400 px wide). Would making them smaller get my score back up? I know the Masonry option is really having to work to scale them down.

Hey Karolya, that button is added from a regular button element within the page builder, it’s not a feature related directly to the blog element itself. Unfortunately the blog does not offer an option to load the next page of posts after clicking a button. There is however an infinite scroll pagination option, but that will load the posts as your scroll automatically
Hey, I’ve changed that ‘pagination type’ to ‘infinite scroll’ in the Salient “blog settings” but it’s not loading more posts. What am I doing wrong?

Here you go: https://www.but-first-tea.com/ I’d like more posts to load as I’m scrolling down the homepage. Ideally – I’d love the pagination. The first 9 posts show up as they do right now, and in the lower part of the page there would be numbers 2,3,4 and so on. When you click then umber you’re lead to the next part of posts.
Thanks Karolya, It looks like you’re using a “Recent posts” element instead of the “Blog” element. The “Recent posts” does not offer the option for pagination, with infinite scrolling or standard.
