You need to create a Google Map API key first and insert it to Edge Options > General > API key. This way you’ll integrate your own personal API key inside your installation.

Every portfolio item has it’s own custom URL box, which means you can insert external or URL to any page on your website, so when user clicks on specific portfolio item from a list, he’ll be redirected to the page you linked.

It is because shortcodes are rendered from the beginning of each page, and excerpts are not generating shortcodes but showing plain texts.
So, you could just add this part of code in Custom Css:

Unfortunately this won’t be possible with default theme options, sorry about that. Additional sidebar items accept what you insert in the back-end and that’s how it is supposed to work. What you’re asking would require modifications in template files, which we’re not in a position to help you with.

Each single post has “Excerpt” option that is used in Blog Lists.
You need to navigate to Dashboard > Posts > find and Edit single post > on this page find Screen Options > enable “Excerpt” > edit Excerpt field. I just purchased Aalto license and thought that it would appear as in the preview so that i can simply replace images and text but instead i got a single blog page and I have been trying to navigate the customisation tools for 2 hours but can’t understand the multiple buttons – feeling frustrated.

I have a trouble with my website. When I edit a portfolio and I give the update button I get error 404. This happens if the portfolio is edited with WP Bakery Page Builder. if it is in text mode it does not happen to me. Any ideas? I have everything updated to the latest version.

I did it before, but not like that, that option does not appear in the socket but appears in Edge Options. anyway, it only happens with projects edited with vWP Bakery. If a project is edited with the normal text editor, it is updated without problem. It also does not happen when editing pages with WP Bakery, these are updated without problem. it only happens in projects published with WP Bakery

You will need to create portfolio item that will appear in the Portfolio Project Info section (featured projects), but with a litle customatization it is possible to achieve that when you click on that portfolio/project, it redirects to an external page.

Please note that this theme is comatible with WPBakery 5.7, and there are no big differences between 5.7 and 6.0.2, so don’t worry about it. In order to update WPBakery to the version 6.0.2, it is necessary to modify some template files. So please be patient, we will add compatibility with the WPBakery 6+ in the next theme update.
We’re currently in a process of updating all our themes. Our team is working hard to get all the themes up to date with the current versions of plugins and extensions. You can expect that Aalto theme will be updated in the next few days or weeks, and then we will include the latest version of WPBakery plugin.
