Hello. I just got a new client with a WP site with your Salient theme. I can’t find out any information about their site and the theme because they don’t have access to that anymore. The actual version for the theme is 8.0.16. and I can’t find the way to update it. ¿Is it possible to update that version? ¿If so.. how can I do it? ¿If not .. Do I need to buy the theme again? Thanks so much for your time!

Hello, how can I use a specific header for the homepage only? I need a transparent bg header that shrinks into a sticky (as opening page). But all the other pages should open directly with the sticky one. Can you help me?

If you’re mainly trying to only use the transparent header effect on one page only that could be achieved with the “navigation transparency” metabox: https://ibb.co/BrP8HQK
However, if you’re trying to alter other things about the header on one page only, that would require modifying the “nectar_get_header_variables” function which is located in the nectar/helpers/header.php file
Yes but I also need, only for the homepage, the animation effect of the header (different starting logo and resize on scroll), for the all other pages only the normal sticky header…

The function I mentioned above “nectar_get_header_variables” would need to be modified for the resize effect to only be activated on a single page and the function “nectar_logo_output” (within the same file) could be modified for the varying logo. Alternatively you could also use a wp multisite setup to have two separate instances of the Salient options panel and avoid having to modify any code.
We just updated from v 6.7 to 10.5. Do I need to purchase a separate license for WP Bakery?

Hi there, great theme! And great team shortcode, but isn’t it possible to link to a single team member with url that opens up the ‘fullscreen modal’? For example www.website.com/team/#firstname-lastname so it triggers the modal, that would be a great feature and would save me (and many others I guess 
a lot of work! Maybe with some custom code I could add?

Unfortunately Salient doesn’t offer a custom modal option at this time, but we did recently add support for a popular modal plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/popup-maker/

Think my question is not completely clear If you click on a ‘team member’, it opens a ‘fullscreen modal’ (if you choose this in theme)! Now that’s great and looks good. But! I would link to this person directly, is it possible to add some script which activates the ‘fullscreen modal’ with a link? Instead of clicking the person? (I’m not afraid of adding custom script to my site

If you wish to continue using that specific style instead of the other two, it would indeed require modifying a file Within the salient-core plugin ( salient-core/includes/vc_templates/team_member.php ). The function which binds the modal popup is located within the core theme in salient/js/init.js at the “teamMemberFullscreen” function.

Hey crownjewelpro, it looks as though each post is now using “Regular Alt” instead of Regular. Regular Alt uses images that are 1000×1000 rather than 500×500 – some of your images are not uploaded at 1000px tall and thus are getting cropped in a different proportion.
Having trouble with a carousel on a website I’m building at http://drgmodularbuildings.com/
The individual logos being used in the carousel are 140×140 pixels but they appear Huuuge on the final page. It looks like they are somehow set to fill the content box. I’ve used the carousel tool in the WP Bakery page builder on other websites before without the enlarged picture issue. It’s confounding. Any idea how I can get the images to stay at their proper size.

Can you clarify what you’re referring to since you mentioned you’re not talking about the transition between slides?

A slider transition to next slider either by sliding or fading. You can set the time delay between slides, but what I am referring to is the transition type, i.e. either fade or slide. With the fade transition I want the fade to be slower, not so fast. So the slide stays for 5 seconds then it goes to next slide, and so on. But as it transitions to a next slide I use the fade option and I want that fade to go slower – with your nectar slides you can almost not see the transition effect. I am sure I have explained it in detail now.

For the off-canvas menu with “Simple Dropdown” selected (which is a nice new feature btw!). Is it possible to still have the off-canvas menu still appear on desktop? Now it’s hidden and you get the dropdown on mobile…
Would love to have the original Material off-canvas where the whole screen pops out from the right on desktop, but have the simple dropdown only for mobile.
