music theme stopped working suddently. if i try to play a song, it just skips the song and plays the next one randomly. why is my new songs being skipped. there were no wordpress or plugins updates. the theme suddenly stopped working

Pulse theme use a custom post type OR Woocommerce to manage songs. user can upload songs.

There is a album page in the “Pages”, the template file located “tempate-parts/template-albums.php”, you can add widgets for each genre

Just want to make sure.. is this theme is still fully compatible with SoundCloud? (heard they’ve made some changes to API)
If so, would it be possible to embed specific SoundCloud sections (Playlists, Likes, Reposted Tracks, Albums) and have them automatically retrieve updates as new changes are made (liked, reposted, etc) though SoundCloud?
Less important but also curious.. is similar functionality possible for playlists on Spotify and any other services?

1. This theme support play Soundcloud stream. you need a soundcloud client id to get the play stream url.

I have few challenges I have not been able to fix 1. Register Link is not coming up on my top bar 2. When I access the register link via the log in page, the register new user does not load, it blank 3. I don’t want wordpress bar to show at the top for new users, I just want only login and register at the top

For the second issue, I changed it to sign-up instead of register and it works, the 3 solution is just perfect…I
“1. Register Link is not coming up on my top bar”, you can go to the “Appearance > WIdgets”, to add widgets to “Topbar”. it will show on the top bar.
This theme use a login link on the left menu, user click the login link to login page, the register link on the login page.

When you upload music. there is a download checkbox, select it and input your download link url, if you leave it empty, it will use the stream url. On this page, you can add a membership required to access this upload form, so user must paid a membership to access upload feature.

I want to run a free streaming music site. So you don’t have to sell or make downloads. You just need to be able to play the player when the user comes in and clicks on the album.

This theme is a mess! I honestly think it would be easier to create a whole site from scratch then to use this theme.
It says it’s compatible with Easy Digital Downloads Front End submissions but when someone uploads using that, the music doesn’t show up on the main “Discover” page. Not to mention when they upload, nothing matches like when you upload yourself using the themes upload. This theme is designed for 1 person to upload music, not more, the fact they advertise that Front End Submissions works is false advertising.
If you do use Front End Submissions there turns out to be 4 ways to log in to the site and what you do inside one doesn’t affect the other 3 so a user would have to create 4 accounts on your website to use it properly and update each separately, what a joke!
Let me explain the 4, 1. Wordpress user 2. Buddy Press user, 3. Front End Submission user 4. Artist user. So if a user uploads a song, they create a Front End Submissions user account, then they upload, then on the site they are not labeled as an Artist so when you click that tab, they don’t show up, they need to create themselves as an Artist and connect themselves to every song separately after they upload a song, lets say they want a profile on the site itself? They need to create a wordpress user account and a buddypress user account to do that!
This is too much hassle and the fact that if you use the child’s theme you have to alter the code inside the theme to even get the play button to work, THE VERY BASIC AND NECESSARY FUNCTION OF THE ENTIRE SITE says it all!!
Please kindly refund my money, I cannot use this theme and I purchased it under false pretenses based on false advertising! Thank you!
We did not say this theme is fully integrated with Front-end submission. we only do on things to support FES - add a preview_vendor field to play sound from vendor upload. you need create this field when you build the vendor upload form.
In this theme the artist is a taxonomy. an user/vendor is a author, but not an artist.
For the child theme, add code to load the styles

Out of everything I typed, you address the things that have already been addressed and ignore the bigger issues….. You had already sent me this code to make the play button work when using the child theme, the QUESTION IS, why haven’t you released an update so that the play button can work with EVERYONE using the child theme? The play button is a core feature for a music playing theme correct?
That aside, the bigger problem is that the music that people upload using FES doesn’t show up on the main page, the “Discover” page, which defeats the purpose of even mentioning FES in your item description because it clearly should not be used at all with your site.
This theme is a waste of money for me and you would rather keep repeating yourself and keep the money then do anything to ensure a customer was actually HAPPY. So you know what? Keep the money, you obviously need it more than I do.
FES post will be added into the music post type, and it will show on post widget. you can go to the “Appearance > Widgets” to config the post type.
Can I trial this out before I buy it? Can you listen to music and download as well? Can I remove the “buy now” option including the pricing.
Basically we just want a music player only.
