Unfortunately since the text on each testimonial is stored as a shortcode attribute, html tags will be stripped by default. However I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist to add a direct link option field for each testimonial element

If you’re referring to using the magazine demo as a starting point, there are many different blog and recent elements in use of that all with varying styles selected. Could you let me know in which section on that demo you’re seeing links behave like this? If you could alternately provide a screenshot showing the section, that would be helpful.

The “nectar_slider_display” function found in the salient-nectar-slider plugin at includes/frontend/helpers would still need to be copied into a child theme for this modification. I’ve noted your +1 for the idea to make it a plugin option as well.

Currently, there is no built-in functionality to allow for child theme overrides of specific templates, the $child_dir in that file isn’t doing anything and was a starting point that hasn’t been developed yet. However, the parent function “nectar_set_vc_as_theme” can be overridden in a child theme, so you could create logic for it.

Second: I try two plugins for the menu issue but none seems to work, can you please send me the custom code and where to paste it in order to disable the menu in the posts pages and with plugins is compatible so i can create a custom menu for different pages? Hey bruntoncraig, the new style that was added titled “Simple Dropdown” is an updated version of the classic mobile menu. http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/ocm-6.jpg What specifically are you trying to change about it so I can assist?

I used two menus and kept one on the off-canvas menu with general information about the company (About, Contact, Policies, etc.) and the other, larger menu as my main menu linking to the more specific and detailed subject matter. And, I know it sounds silly, but I thought it was a better aesthetic with the off-canvas separate from the main menu and was less cluttered. Now, on a desktop, when choosing the Simple Dropdown I lose the off-canvas menu altogether and just have to find a different place for that information. On mobile, it’s fine, but again, that other info I used to have in that spot is gone. Honestly, it’s not a huge deal and I’m probably going to delete my comment. I just think I liked the old style better, but I can adapt.

Hey bruntoncraig, thanks for clarifying – I’ve noted the feedback. The option to use a double menu on mobile was indeed removed, however if you would like some CSS to make the off canvas menu look more like the old style (dark grey) I can assist with that.

If you’re referring to the bottom section right under the text “Salient is loaded with powerful features that makes building a website easy” – that’s multiple rows using the “fancy box” element. There’s actually a Salient Studio template that was added as of v10.5 for that titled “dark fancy grid” https://ibb.co/CsNkS5T

There is an option called Custom Content Grid Item which I’m trying to test here https://jaroljmek.com/showcase/ but I can only see the Date or the Excerpt in my Portfolio Grid, not the Custom Content. I have enabled Custom Content Grid but the content does not show below the Featured Image. Wonder if you could point me in the right direction. Also, how do I adjust the hover shadow depth and add the NEW badge like your demo? Thanks so much!

1. Unfortunately, that specific project style doesn’t use the custom content option. The project styles which do Include any that show the meta overlaid on top of the image itself.

2.You can use the following CSS for that project style:

    box-shadow: 0 10px 25px rgba(0,0,0,0.25);

3. The new badge will show up when you add the class name “nectar-new-item” to any project

As of now this would require modding to the relevant function to alter the link (the function is different for each product style). You can find each of them in nectar/helpers/woocommerce.php. However, the text itself could be altered through a core WooCommerce filter (woocommerce_product_add_to_cart_text)

That code no longer exists in the Salient init.js file – which version of the theme are you using? The code also only applies to sidebar layout and removes a single item rather than everything after 4, so I assume your modification to woocommerce_upsell_display might just be hooked on the wrong action priority. Could you let me know the full code you’re using to modify that?

I just learned that when you Activate Full Screen Rows, the Page Header Settings disappears. Is that intentional? Is the custom page headers (particles feature) not available for Full Screen Row pages? I didn’t see any mention of it here: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-metaboxes/

If this is the case, is there a way to achieve a side navigation similar to the full screen rows but have page header settings working? Maybe using anchor links but I wouldn’t know how to get a bulleted side navigation to show.

When using the fullscreen row option the page header is indeed removed. As of now there’s no way to add the particle BG to a regular row as would be needed to combine to two, however I’ve noted your +1 for the idea on the wishlist

Yes, please at least give an option to maybe disable the first Fullscreen Section on the page so the particles can at least work.
