If I want the text on the homepage to remain static, can I turn the slider off?
Yes, you have full control of page content. You can add static text instead of the post slider easily. You could even add your own static text slider.

Sure, you can adjust the default color under Appearance > Customize > Blog > Default Layout Styles. You can also edit the color per post list via the page builder by selecting the element and looking under the Styles tab.

The color scheme shown is the only one included. You could switch the colors via the theme options, however there is no skin that would do this automatically.

The ratings/reviews number is produced by the post author. If you prefer users to vote/rate items then you can do so via the comments. There are a number of plugins that add users ratings via comments.

1) Yes, you can easily remove the sidebar and display the page in the center.
2) Also, yes you can add buttons like Buy Now to the articles.

You can insert advertisements in most places within text theme. This can be added via the page builder or widget areas. We have a demo of a the widget area advertisements on the post page (Sidebar and underneath author profile). There is also an advertisement widget area above the main text on the post page.

Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I was looking for more info. I was hoping to find some online documentation so I didn’t have to bug you. I saw the examples on the post page. I’m looking to find out if there is a dashboard for advertisers to log in and see their stats? Can I add my payment processor account so they can pay for ads and/or upgrades through the ad manager? Can a background ad be placed?
We have spots for advertising but it would be up to you to choose your advertising platform. Google Adsense, etc. We do not have an advertisement platform built-in to our theme. Nor am I aware of any theme that would have that. Don’t worry though as you can add this via a plugin or service such as Google Adsense. I suggest checking wordpress.org and codecayon.net if you have any advertising specific functionality/questions. That isn’t going to be something provided by a theme.

I can’t seem to find the fonts you used. what is the font on the theme?
Sure, the headings are “Fira Sans Condensed” and the main text is “Noto Sans”. You can adjust these fonts under Apperance > Customize or via the page builder.

Looks like a pretty good theme. Is it possible to customize the category page? I like the “Overlay – 2 column” option but it doesn’t seem clear on how to apply this to the category template.

I have using Ratency for a months now and it is doing fine. However, I have a couple of problems. Firstly, the excerpt in the slider extends all across the slider hiding under the thumbnails. Secondly, how to reduce the excerpt length in the posts area on the home page.
