Just note that right procedure for doing update of Bridge is to: - first update our theme, here are instructions http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/2-getting-started/2-3-installing-the-bridge-theme/2-3-4-theme-update/ - then to install/activate our new Bridge Core plugin and after you could update other of our plugins. Also, make sure to have parent theme activated while doing this update. Then if you have child theme and made some modification in functions.php code of your child theme, just check if you are using any method with “qode” prefix and replace it with “bridge_qode” After this, you are able to activate child theme, too. Everything should be working well. Please, let us know how it goes.

I want to know how to solve the problem. Unlock Qode to access Admin level in Backend.

My client hired an agency. He handed over the entire website. I installed a new website and can open the website. But can not access the back home permissions Admin. Because the agency does not tell you how to unlock and not Disable.

It is because you are using newest version of WordPress, but didn’t update our theme and WPBakery. Just update our theme and WPbakery page builder to latest versions and everything should be working fine.

Good day. I have noticed a big issue with Slider revolution playing Youtube videos. Because it’s packaged with the theme it doesn’t update automatically.

How can I get the latest version that I can resolve this issue? As currently Youtube videos don’t play as a background on the slider.

Good day, I’m not sure sending the website url alone (wearedevi8.com) will help you see what the issue is as the site is live and I have reverted to a slider that shows in the interim.

It’s when I set it to a slider that is a video that I see “Record not found”. I cannot reply to the email sent as it’s a do not reply.

Is there anywhere I can send credentials that you can have a closer look?

Yes, this is not helpful, since your site has Coming soon page right now. “Record not found” means that the Slide you edit not seem to exist. Please, try to create new Rev Slider and check if the issue persist.

A few weeks ago I was asking that when installing the template then I could not access the page with a “connection error” error, this happened to me on localhost but not on my server, by changing the PHP version of my localhost of 7.2.14 to 5.6.40 the problem was solved, I would like to know why this happens.

All our Bridge sites broken after the latest update. Deeply regretting our choice. An update should be easy and nor require some attention and time. Looking at solutions to move our sites away from Bridge.

No success. Spent a lot of time trying with Envato API then manually which gives us a 500 error. Moving away from being “boxed” in a over-complex, inefficient system with a very heavy and slow theme.

If you follow all steps and try to do update via FTP everything should works fine. If you are doing via Envato market plugin, then you should just install/activate all our plugins after. You’ll see message in dashboard about these required plugins and just follow it in order to install everything.

Does your icon showcase not have any responsiveness? On mobile devices, you cannot see the text in the middle. Hello, you should offer a tutorial on how to completely remove the Raleway font from your theme. Commenting out of the functions.php file doesn’t work and the way this font is integrated causes users to have a lower YSlow score even when the font isn’t being used on the site.

I contacted support to ask about this and was told to renew my support, however, I can’t see paying $40 for 6 months of support for something like this – this seems to be a bad practice in the code and should be adjusted. Thank you though – great theme, I will renew support if needed.

We will explain you this part here, since it is easy thing to be done. Just open functions.php and search for this function: bridge_qode_google_fonts_styles and on this line: https://www.screencast.com/t/m8Z1Rkclt instead of Raleway, you could type nofont like I did. So, it means that Raleway won’t be default font anymore and won’t be loaded unless you choose it in some of our theme options. Glad to hear you like our theme.

It seems that Bridge loads an enormous amount of JS and CSS on every page whether it’s needed or not.

Bridge is needlessly loading all sorts of JS on every page which dramatically slows page render times (small JS files still need to be parsed).

There needs to be a way to TURN off JS that isn’t being used, sitewide and per page. For example why is Comment JS on the home page where there is no comment form? Select2 when there is no drop down? It’s endless how much opportunity there is to optimize things, so much unused JQUI stuff.

And OMG 43KB of CSS? That’s 16,000 lines of CSS and you’re using maybe 200 of those? All that slows everything down because it’s a beast to parse.

Bridge is multi purpose theme with a lot of features and elements, and theme demos were not optimized for speed, but users can fix this by following instructions from some testing tool like GTmetrix – by enabling gzip, installing caching plugin and by using CDN. We have positive feedback from some users that they were able to optimize Bridge theme to load for 2 seconds. Of course good hosting plan will also have great impact on site speed. Css and js scripts customer will get are minified and there are no reason to be worried about this. Also, in some of our latest theme updates, we included options for enabling/disabling JQuery scripts in our theme options. We are always working on improvement of our themes. Thank you for replying. I used your demo site as an example because it shows the same problem I see on live sites. However, live sites often have other issues and I didn’t want to confuse things.

The fact remains. Your theme loads - 16000 lines of unused CSS in one massive file. - 34 jQuery UI components whether they are used or not (most are not) - 40 Other 3rd party JS files whether they are used or not (most are not)

Loading all that unnecessarily is just sloppy and lazy coding. If you fixed this you’d actually get good scores on mobile.

Sure I can go through and figure out which ones are actually in use and dequeue them, but no one should have to do that.

The other sections like name, number, number of booking etc.. Loads fine!?
