We have developed our own WordPress player plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/meks-audio-player. This plugin is free, but with our theme, you will get extra features like speed, share, subscribe functionality and play from home page/ archives.
If you don’t want to use our Player plugin you can switch off our plugin and theme will work with other plugins but you won’t have these built-in functionalities.

This is a good theme, but can you add two functions: validate RSS-feed for every podcast and own subscription buttons for every category?

i am embedding Soundcloud tracks but the Megaphone Player does not allow skipping forward and back in the timeline. It will Pause and play fine. Anyone?

maybe I am too blind right now but I want to redesign my homepage completely with your theme. My old theme was Avada and there was a nice Front End Builder. No problem, that I lost it, because I switched to your theme. BUT I cannot find my / any landing or start page!

How do you embed podcast episodes from Libsyn so the theme’s player will play them? I’ve seen that if I embed a YouTube link, the player will load the episode and even play the video but when I embed the Libsyn link, it does not load. Do I need to add the Libsyn plugin to help with this? The main reason I purchased this theme is for the player. I the standard Libsyn player looks like something from 1995.

I submitted a ticket last week and haven’t received a response. When I ask how, it means I need you to show me how. If I use a code block and paste the entire iframe from Libsyn, the the block won’t accept it. It just gets stuck on ‘saving’. If I use an embed block, the block won’t recognize the URL. If I embed it as audio from URL, nothing happens. I’m going to try putting in a new ticket.

This theme is sooo close to what we’re looking for.
We need to be able to customize the homepage just a bit more. And ideally the single blog and single episode templates (to put a subscribe by email form at the bottom of each post).
I’ve developed custom themes before … is it possible to use a child theme to tweak the post templates?
As for the homepage: am I correct in understanding that the only available sections are Welcome, Featured Episode, Blog, Shows, Episodes? That is, there’s no way to include WordPress blocks or any other content? If not, could I use a page builder (like Elementor?) to create a custom homepage but otherwise use the theme as-is?
Also, just want to confirm that we could use a membership plugin to secure select pages (specifically Membermouse).
We have a podcast which is a big part of what we do but we also have substantial resources in other formats and have a large, robust site already (300 episodes, 150 articles, dozens of pages) so just want to make sure it’ll fit the bill.

Will this theme automatically create posts for each new episode that drops? Or is inputting each episode a manual process?

Regarding your question – I don’t think that I understand your question quite well. You’ll need to create a post for your episode, of course, but I don’t understand from which service you want to pull your episodes and create those posts automatically.

I’ve noticed some themes run cron jobs that will automatically create a new WordPress post whenever a new podcast is released so the process is automatic rather than manual. I’m using PodBean, so I’d like whenever a new podcast is released, a post is created with the title, show description and audio player.

Hi there,
This is an amazing theme. Just had a couple of questions before buying -
1. Does this need any other plugins/extras to make the podcasts work? Or if I have my podcast ready then it’s all ready to go and I don’t need anything else?
2. What do you use for layout design? In the past I have got themes that use Visual composer and other plugins to design and it’s a hassle when these plugins need an update, but the theme is still in it’s older version, and so the page builder is still running on an old version. I would much prefer if it’s something that’s universal and doesn’t need updating.
3. I am thinking of hosting audio on the site itself. Do the podcasts I use here automatically become available on google podcasts and other such services?
4. Does the 6 month support include support for issues encountered while setting up – like speed, incompatible layouts, etc…

Or do they need to be hosted on a podcasting web service - like soundcloud, etc and then embedded here?Also does the theme provide a RSS feed that can be used to send the podcast to google podcasts, etc?Can the layout on the front page be customized? The difference between Layouts A, B, C,... and Layouts 1, 2, 3… is in the, Layouts A, B, C,... are use for the Episodes listings, and the Layouts 1, 2, 3… are use for the single episodes.
You could check the difference between this Layouts closer if you go to the Appearance > Customize > Megaphone options > Podcasts > Episode Listing Layouts and Appearance > Customize > Megaphone options > Podcasts > Single podcast.
