Hello, I updated my theme and plugin and all my inventory widget filters where changed. Looking at the front of pages with the inventory widget, the original filters show up (ex. Condition New, Make Dodge, Miles <100,000) but now on the front end i when i click the drop down for any of the filters they all show nothing. When I go to the backend of the page and click into the inventory widget and look and the filters, it has Year – 2014, Make – Porsche, Trim – LT, Fuel Economy – <10 etc. This has happened across every single page that uses the inventory widget. What happened and how can i fix this?
Hmm strange, it’s hard to know what happened without looking at the problem. Try going to Listings >> Listing Categories and click the button labeled Regenerate Terms and let us know if that fixes the problem. If it does not please open up a Support Ticket including temporary logins for both FTP and wp-admin and we will have a look at it for you. Thanks!
is there a possibility to customize the homepage ?
Yes, everything is very customizable!
If you want to clarify exactly what you want to customize we can confirm 100%, but pretty much everything is customizable one way or another. Thanks!
Thank you!
How do you add on the automatic importer?
You can do manual imports under Listings >> File Import but to automaticly process them on a schedule you need the Automatic Importer plugin. It is a premium plugin that is sold separately from the theme. For more information on it please send an email to sales@themesuite.com
The automatic importer has stopped working. The cron job runs but ends up with “curl: (6) Could not resolve host: i=0; Name or service not known”. I can import the file manually without any issues, but automatic fails every time. Any guidance here?
I found the problem. It’s due to the ”$auto_import_options[‘crons’]” array not being seeded correctly. I’m setting “i=0” and only have a single cron job. However, the $auto_import_options[‘crons’] array looks like this…
Array ( [2] => Array ( [secret_key] => mySecretKey, .... )
)
So I could set “i=2” and solve it, or we could fix the array?
What version are you using? You likely just need to update the plugin to the latest version. Please download and install the latest version from your purchase email, if you no longer have the download link please send an email to sales@themesuite.com and we can send you the latest version. Thanks!
I was able to get this resolved by resetting CRONs entirely. Deleted in the app & updated them on the server.
I’m on the latest for everything. I believe this has to do with the ability to add & remove CRONs and the usage of the “i” parameter. It appears that the “i” parameter is just used to index the array then the CRON job is verified via the secret key. You could alleviate the necessity for “i” if you just made it a requirement that the secret key is unique.
Yes, you are correct. In one of the updates to the Automatic Importer we added functionality for customers to add as many cron jobs as they want and we use the i variable in the cron command, so regardless if you have added and removed 100 cron jobs, the label will still read Cron #1 but the i variable in the command would be 100 and it would still work regardless. We were going to set it up with a secret key, however after the update it would have required everyone to convert their cron when it’s currently working how it is.
Autocheck doesn’t work. I have all my account info entered, but when clicked, it tries to pull the vehicle history by listing id instead of VIN, even though VIN is selected as the category.
We have quite a few other customers using AutoCheck without any trouble, please renew your support and open up a Support Ticket including temporary login details to your website so one of our support specialists can have a look at your configuration.
I understand wanting to secure another $60 for support, but the issues I appear to be having are related directly with the theme. Autocheck customer ID’s are only 7 characters. The passwords are 9. Within the theme you state they are all 8 characters in length. Also, when I select VIN as the category it does not pull the VIN to use, it pulls the listing ID. This theme worked well for CarFax and we don’t have any other issues with the theme aside from this Autocheck problem. The theme is simply not working as it should.
Thanks for following up on this, if there is an issue we definitely want to get it resolved regardless of your support status. Here’s a screenshot from AutoChecks developers documentation that states the Customer ID is 8 characters, as well as the password being 8 characters:
If AutoCheck has made changes to this it is not something we are aware of. I also just spent some time searching and I have not been able to find any more recent documentation that specifies anything different. Do you have any contacts you can reach out to at AutoCheck that could shed any light on this? If there is a more recent version of their developers documentation that would be helpful, the most recent version I could find is dated April 2018.
Certainly if there have been some changes and the theme needs to be updated we are more than happy to do this at no cost, but from what we have been able to find it appears to be current and setup properly. If you have any more information on this and/or would like to discuss further please send us an email at support@themesuite.com – Thanks!
How do i fix these errors? Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 3 Mobile Usability issues: Top Issues The following issues were found on your site: Clickable elements too close together Text too small to read Viewport not set
Google should provide you with a screenshot or some further insight if you click on the element in your Search Console. You may need to adjust your links or font sizes depending what the situation is. If you need further assistance with it please open a Support Ticket with your website information and the Google Console information and one of our support specialists will be happy to assist further. I just updated the theme, listings plugin and WPBakery and now for some reason I can’t add images to the listings. It will let me create the text part of the listing, but when I add images and Save/Update the images are removed. I also cannot add or delete images from listings that were posted prior to the update I made today. Any ideas?
It sounds like maybe some of the old scripts are still cached. I would recommend flushing all of your caches as well as any caching software you might be using on your website, and fully clear your browser/history/cache. If that doesn’t solve the issue please open a Support Ticket including temporary login details to your website so we can investigate.
That worked, added a few more vehicles and needed to clear cache each time – didn’t have to do it in past versions but I’ll just make sure do it after each time add listings.
If you are having to clear the cache each time you add a new listing then you still have another cache that is still storing the old scripts. Could be a caching plugin on your website, your web host, in your browser, etc.
Glad to hear you got it sorted!
Pre-purchase question – is there a possibility for users to sell car pats?
*parts
Yes, it is fully compatibile with WooCommerce which is 100% e-Commerce ready. You can see it demonstrated under the ‘Shop’ section of the demo.
We purchased your theme and our website URL is https://goldautoworks.com.sg/
we tested the page speed using google tools. Result – PFA
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoldautoworks.com.sg%2F&tab=desktop https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoldautoworks.com.sg%2F&tab=mobileboth mobile and desktop page speed score is very low. Kindly advise us how to improve the website page speed score. we found there are lot of CSS and JS blocking the website to load. we need to know what are the css and js can exclude to page load faster. Kindly need your experience to help us . Note: Already this website running on Latest php version GZIP – already enabled in our server. if you need any further information kindly let me know. thanks.
Thanks for reaching out, however it looks like https://goldautoworks.com.sg/ is using the Salient theme (not our Automotive theme). If you are using the Automotive theme on another website URL and need assistance please open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com and one of our specialists will be happy to assist you. Thanks!
Hi, i don’t know if this error is start fron the lastest of before… but in function.php, lihe 1887 where is 2 ” character after home link…
Hmm we can’t seem to replicate this, and it doesn’t look like any other users have reported this. Please renew your support and open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com including temporary login details to your website so we can investigate.
One quick question – if you view your demo single listings page (https://cldup.com/ZJ6guSxh74.png), to the right of the images is a section listing important information about the vehicle (year, make, model, etc) in list format with labels (year: 1998, for example). How can I replicate the table with labeled information?
You just need to populate the listing categories for the listing and it will automatically create this for you. If that isn’t working or if I’m misunderstanding the question, please open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com including a link to the web page in question and we would be happy to assist you further with this! Thanks
Hi:
I wanted to ask you few questions in regards to the inventory feature page, wide layout/wide fullwidth.
1. Is there an option to have the price turned off and replace the text with CALL FOR PRICES? 2. https://demo.themesuite.com/automotive-wp/wide-fullwidth/. Is there an option to have the height of the listing increased by using CSS? 3. Is there an option to have the 4 corner edges square instead of soft rounded? 4. Is there an option to have the CARFAX turned off? 5. Is there an option to have manufacturer logos displayed instead of CARFAX? 6. Do you offer an option where you enter VIN # and the listings are auto populated?
INDIVIDUAL LISTING 1. Is there an option to have the price turned off and replace a text with call for prices? 2. Is there an option to change the wording from Make an Offer to Get a Quote?
One last question: Where can I go and see the backend to see the feature of how to list the auto listings?
Thank you.
Thanks for your interest! Here are the answers to your questions.
INVENTORY: 1. Yes 2 & 3. You would need to use custom CSS for this and place it under Theme Options >> Custom Styling >> Custom CSS 4. Yes 5. The logo can be changed to whatever you want 6. Yes under Listings >> VIN Import
SINGLE LISTING: 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. You can test drive the admin panel at https://experience.themesuite.com
I purchased your theme. I have installed the Theme in a subdomain. I would like to install on another subdomain name for testing, how do I go about doing this?
In the inventory list page: I would like to have the MPG: City/Highway deleted. What would you recommendation?
FINANCING CALCULATOR: I would like to delete this option for single page listing. I went to Listing Options: Single Listing Page/Select Hide under Financing Calculator. This option did not hide the calculator. Please advice.
Thanks for your purchase!
After you finish testing on your subdomain just go to our support site at https://support.themesuite.com and you can reset your license under My Products. You will need to register for an account if you haven’t setup one up yet. You can disable the fuel efficiency under Listing Options >> Single Listing Page >> Fuel Efficiency. You can disable the Finance Calculator under Listing Options >> Single Listing Page >> Finance Calculator. If you have done that and it is still displaying please check under Appearance >> Widgets >> Listings Sidebar, you may also have a sidebar set to display the FInance Calculator that you also need to disable there.
In the future for any other support related inquiries please open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com. Thanks!
I’ve been following you for years, and I see that the negative reviews are erased or disappear.
Do you have any friends on Themeforest?
I don’t think it’s right to manipulate the reviews.
We do not manipulate any reviews, nor do we know anyone or have any friends at Envato. If any reviews are ever removed by Envato it is because they are not within their review guidelines, this is completely beyond our control and we have no way of removing customer reviews.
I see on your support site troubleshooting-related topics, but not general how-to for the theme. Is there any general documentation on how to set things up, in particular the Frazer integration. Any documentation is appreciated.
The documentation is included in PDF format in the theme bundle you download off of ThemeForest. If you can’t locate it please open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com and we will be happy to assist further. Thanks!
Hello we’d like to make a update of the theme. But impossible to make it on the wordpress. If we dowloard the zip again and put it on our wordpress it’ll be good too? nothing will be lost? Thks. www.nycs.be
You are on version 8.1.1 which means you haven’t updated in almost 2 years (we are on version 11.6 now). Envato recently disabled their API system that you would have been using to update the theme. At this point you will need to manually update your theme and Automotive Listings plugin via FTP to the latest versions and then after you have done this reconnect your account for updates under Theme Options >> Update Settings. You shouldn’t lose anything, however as with any update it is always recommended that you make a full backup prior to doing it in case you run into any trouble. If you are not comfortable doing the updates yourself please feel free to send us an email to sales@themesuite.com and we would be happy to provide you with a quote on updating it for you. Thanks!
Pre buying question, can I add the cart to cars inventory directly?
The inventory listings are separate from WooCommerce products (which can be seen under the ‘Shop’ in the menu). Some customers have tied the 2 together, however this functionality is not built into the theme options. That being said, we have made it easy to customize this sort of thing in the child theme so you will not lose your customizations in an update.
We are having issue if listing are more than 1500. First I had to increase the server memory to (memory_limit = 256M) and it started displaying 1500 records. Later when listings reached to ~3000, it stopped showing listings. Now again When I raised server memory to 512mb, then it started showing data.
We are expecting more than 20k listings to be added, our server will definitely going to break if this is limited to a few hundreds.
I also checked, one query is saving almost 8MBs of data in options table, with option_name = “dependancies_generated”. It saves all listings with each and every information of listing in one field. I’m seeing only 3000 listings is making this field size of 8MBs, when we will have 30,000 listings it will surely become of around 8GBs! and server will never be handling this. No way at all, one field have this much large data. I don’t know why this method is adopted of loading all data as serialized array, treated and stored back on every search, loading, saving, updating… it touches that field, updates it, searches it. Which is actually impacting the whole system. I removed this from from database to know what happens, it is required to show the drop-down lists in listing.
Please check option_value “dependancies_generated” in xxxx_options table.
This is surely a big bug. Due to this large table size, we can’t even move data to any other server. We can download database, but when upload, it says..something like query size increasing than the available space.
in php_error.log we are getting following error .
WordPress database error Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes for query UPDATE `wpmw_options` SET `option_value` = ‘a:3359:{i:5962…....
P.S. the datatype of “option_value” is longtext. I’ve tested with longblob too.
Hi Muhammad – Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. The “dependancies_generated” option is what we use to do the automatic filtering. Your math appears to be incorrect, if you are using 8mb for 3,000 listings that would be 80mb for 30,000 listings (not 8,000mb or 8gb as you suggested). That being said, we have added a Feature Request to add an option in the plugin so that users could disable this, as it sounds like that would be useful to you.
i’m sorry for my math calculations, because of frustration this happened.. but still 80mb for one field is quite large, isn’t it? . Thanks for clarification and making possible to disable it. But will filtering in front-end work after disabling this? I tested doing in backend to don’t call this function at all, everything works in backend but filters don’t work. Thank you
80mb is reasonable for 30,000 inventory listings, that is only 0.002mb per listing
Filtering will work after disabling this, but we will need to change the filters code so that it will just load the listing categories and not the dependancies. Likely you didn’t change this and that is why the filters didn’t work for you.
Thank you @Themesuite. Can I expect any quicker update with fixing this thing? Or when will this upgrade be coming
Thanks again.
BTW- the first question remains unanswered.
“We are having issue if listing are more than 1500. First I had to increase the server memory to (memory_limit = 256M) and it started displaying 1500 records. Later when listings reached to ~3000, it stopped showing listings. Now again When I raised server memory to 512mb, then it started showing data.” what could happened if this reaches to 30,000. “
Please take a look on this too. Thank you
We currently there are quite a few features we are working on adding that are ahead of this that multiple people have requested. We don’t have any estimated time on getting this added, but we will definitely keep it in mind for a future update.
Regarding your question about how much memory would need to be allocated for 30,000 listings, it is impossible to say as this really depends on a pile of different factors relating to the content of each of your listings, your web server, etc. For example an old web server with slower ram and CPU will run a lot slower and require more database memory then a brand new server with the same amount of ram that can process it faster with less memory. Every single customer install is unique and usage is different in each case, there are no 2 installs that are identical. I would recommend you consult with the system administrator of your server and thy should be able to assist you further with this.
Alright Themesuite. Thank you for your response.
Hello,
Recently plugin and theme updates were breaking my site and not working properly, so I tried to disconnect and reconnect my envato account with the theme to see if that helped.
However, now when I try to reconnect the account, it won’t let me select the license because it says it’s already been used (on the site I am trying to reconnect to envato).
I ended up updating the theme and theme plugin via cpanel and they’re working fine, but I would like to be able to reconnect the license to the site so I can continue to get automatic updates from now on.
In the support site under the My Products section the purchase code says “(Not Registered)” at the end.
How do I go about reconnecting it so I can still keep the theme and theme plugin updated?
Thanks!
We looked up your account and it looks like you have 2 different accounts, so please make sure you are logging into the correct account. We also found a license attached to one of the accounts and we have manually reset that for you. Please let us know if that resolves your problem!
Thanks for that, manually resetting the license did the trick. Much appreciated!
I just updated the theme and plugins, cleared all cache and now any of the listings I click on I get the error message: 404 File Not Found, even if I click on the listing from the link on the top of the add new listings page.
I toggled a few of the options on the inventory page on and off and it seems to have reset itself and the listings are now showing.
Glad to hear you got it sorted, thanks for the update!
I’m having another issue with the update. Now after the update I’m getting 504 error when trying to view the site (can view admin). My host gave me this as the issue: It looks like a plugin/theme on the site contains an SQL query or series of SQL queries which aren’t working correctly/are taking too much time to execute and is causing the timeout (504 error) that you’re seeing. Based on this it looks as if these queries are coming from the vehicle_scroller.php file in the automotive plugin.
We just searched through our support tickets and we haven’t had any other reports of anything similar happening to anyone else. Please renew your support on ThemeForest and open up a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com including temporary FTP and wp-admin login details to your website, and a copy of the most recent errors from your PHP error_log so we can debug the issue. Thanks!
How can i remove the “Discover a website for car dealers that converts visitors to customers” from the homepage? in version 11.6
Just disable the Call to action when you edit the page in the right hand column.
Great! thanks!
