Is there a way to translate the previous and next post button on the blog page?
Loco translation plugin not working to translate theme
Hey rolldigo,
That string is kept in the salient-core text-domain. You can find the .pot in wp-content/plugins/salient-core/languages
I can’t find it, I’m referring to these buttons
http://prntscr.com/qckux8Sorry about that rolldigo, those should actually be in the default text domain, which is just ‘salient’. The salient .pot is located at wp-content/themes/salient/lang
In Loco Translate > Themes > Salient > Advanced you can set the path to the .pot file. For the Template file field use “lang/nectar_salient_strings.pot”.
Since updating WP and the theme my Theme Editor (WpBakery) doesn’t seem to work properly? Is there a solve for this? The backend editor doesn’t seem to work
Hey phaxgaming,
Are you also using 6.1 of the WPBakery page builder? If so, and you’ve verified no third-party plugins are causing the error, please reach out via the contact form on my author page https://themeforest.net/user/themenectar
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Thanks for the response. I’m running WPBakery 6.1 and have done a plugin-disable verification and still getting the issue. I’ll message you on your author page. Cheers!
Thanks phaxgaming
Hi, my theme version is 11.0.3. I noticed the + and – option to define the quantity of a product in the cart doesn’t work anymore, neither the delete cross. The price remains as if there where only 1 piece per product in the cart. Thanks in advance for your help
Hey honoliscious,
Have you already cleared your cache? If so, please share your URL so I can assist
Cheers
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Here is the URL : https://domaine.oleatherm.com/boutique/ Thank you !
No worries, honoliscious. It looks like the AJAX request from WooCommerce is getting a 404 (not found) on your server: https://ibb.co/djM3rL4 Please check with your hosting company that nothing is accidentally blocking access to it.
Hi ThemeNectar,
I can’t seem to located the nectar-slider.css file. Can you please let me know where I can find that css file. Many thanks.
Best, Alan
Hey Alan, it’s located at wp-content/plugins/salient-nectar-slider/css
Cheers
Thanks for your help. I was able to find it.
Glad to hear Alan
Hello, is there an optimal photo size for mobile only? What would you recommend? Thanks!!
Hey worldwidedesign!
That depends on how you’re using the image and what size it ends up taking up in your design. Could you share your URL?
Cheers
Hi,
i’ve just uptated the theme to 10.0.3 and noticed the products are not added to cart anymore. I mean the cart remains empty whatever i clic on any product.
This problem only occurs on IOS, as far i can see.
Thanks for your help !
And happy holidays from France
Hey honoliscious,
Salient doesn’t override the default cart functionality – could you kindly share your URL in regards so I can take a look?
Happy holidays to you as well
Thanks honoliscious, can you please try to disable third party plugins other than the Salient specific ones and WooCommerce to rule out any conflicts? Incorrectly configured caching plugins could cause issues like this
I don’t know which ones i should disable… I have :
- Akismet Anti-Spam
- Better Plugin Compatibility Control
- Classic Editor
- CodeStyling Localization
- Contact Form 7
- Envato Market
- EWWW Image Optimizer
- Google Analytics Dashboard pour WP (GADWP)
- iRobots.txt SEO
- Loco Translate
- Mailjet for WordPress
- PHP Compatibility Checker
- Post Types Order
- Really Simple SSL
- Redirection
- Regenerate Thumbnails
- W3 Total Cache
- All the Woocommerce plugins
- WordPress Backup & Security Plugin – BlogVault
- WordPress Importer
- WPML Translation Management
Thank you !
Hey honoliscious, the Redirection/W3 Total Cache/WooCommerce third-party plugins would be the only you need to deactivate for testing – they only need to be turned off for a moment so you can check on the issue
OK thank you !
Hi ! I desactived the pugins one by one and tested, but the problem remains. I also contacted my host to see if there were an AJAX request problem, but everything is fine, according to them. I don’t know what to do… I’m in trouble in this chistmas time… My customers are frustrated because of my e-shop… Please Can you help ?
I fixed the problem ! I’ve reset permalinks in my WP dashboard and the cart functions very well now ! Thanks for your previous replies, have happy holidays
Hey honoliscious, I’m glad to hear you were able to sort it.
Happy holidays to you as well
Hi there! I’m having issues with Yoast SEO: doesn’t recognize pictures and links built with salient, red dots with all of these – no issue with plain text blocks tough. Any chance that this can be solved with next update? Thanks in advance!
Hey bc-cog!
When you update the Salient WPBakery page builder to v6.1 (which is included in the latest theme release). Images should be recognized via Yoast. I’ve noted the links as well on the to-do list.
Hi there, I just picked this theme up, its absoluty fantastic. I wanted to see if you could advise or point me in the right direction for the following:
1. how to make the slide out menu longer in width please? If I can have the css that would be so helpful 2. how to add padding on the left side of the logo and on the right side of the hamburger menu 3. Any solution to having a 5 column footer? 4. How to add one normal size row (so one third of the size of a full size row) to a page which has full size rows selected
I have worked out the code for the menu width, if anyone needs it here it is:
top .container .row {
padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 5%; padding-right: 5%; }
for the slide out menu, I have tried the following:
.admin-bar #slide-out-widget-area.slide-out-from-right-hover { padding-top: 100px; padding-right: 30%; }
but its no quite right, any thoughts?
Hey redkmarketing, Thanks a lot!
For items #1-#3, that would be possible with CSS alone. Could you please share your URL in regards so I can assist based on your setup?
4. The only way to have a different sized row in that setup would be the last row. You can set the “Page Footer” to the “Last row” in the page full screen row metabox settings: https://ibb.co/bdb0pwH
Cheers
Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. I have a ticket open which should give you more info on the URL etc….I don’t think I explained the help I needed to Tahir sufficiently but he has tried to help. Ticket: 2245855
Hey redkmarketing, I looked into that ticket earlier today.
Cheers
Hello,
Want to report about 2 problems. 1. If i set in row setting background to just fade in or do no animation, on website iam getting same ZOOMin animation all the time. 2. If i set for column to center content inside and create inner row with inner columns inner columns content is centering anyway even if in that column setting option “center content” in unchecked.
Thanks
Hey Aperik,
1. Please ensure that you have selected “None” set for the “Load In Animation” in the Salient options panel > page header tab
2. Can you please share your URL in regards so I can take a look at what you’re trying to accomplish?
Thanks in advance
Hi there! I wonder if there is a way to increase the spacing between each item in the social media icon bar in the top left corner (nav.left-side for centered-menu-bottom-bar). My Google Search Console is flagging this section saying that the items are too close together and it’s giving me a warning for each page on the site because of it. I simply want to increase the spacing in between each social media icon (I have five). I tried to do it manually but to no avail. I’d really appreciate your help with this!
Hey aseachange,
add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:
body.material #header-outer #top nav > ul #social-in-menu a {
margin-right: 15px;
}
Cheers
Thank you, that did the trick! I really appreciate your help
A follow-up question: how do I achieve the same result for the social media icon bar in the footer ?
You’re welcome aseachange
You can also add in the following for that:
#footer-outer #copyright li {
margin-left: 30px;
}
Cheers
Any thoughts of minifying Salient code? When I run my site through gtmetrix or pingdom, usually one big performance hit on waterfall is the code and they recommend minifying. Thoughts?
Hey ehong33234, you can handle minfication through W3 Total Cache or Autoptimize
Please check out our docs in regards: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/#minificationHello,
May i know how can i change ( mail or login, user ) icon to font awesome icon in my website ..
Thanks
Hey xploodsa, Could you clarify where you’re referring to? I assume you mean the email icon used in the header navigation? but that icon is already using font awesome.
Thanks in advance
i just want change the icon on the header for login and mail, Mob Thanks
Hey xploodsa, you can target each of those with the following CSS:
#header-outer #social-in-menu i.fa-envelope {
}
#header-outer nav ul #nectar-user-account .icon-salient-m-user {
}
I have an issue with column linking and background images – I basically want to have a full screen background image that links to another page. This image has a small amount of content text over the top of it. If I use Full screen height in the row settings, then the image gets cut off at the sides on the mobiles – it doesn’t respect the aspect ratio. I don’t want it full screen on mobiles. I found some of your CSS code to ‘contain’ the image on mobile screen sizes, but when i do that there is a margin between my rows that I don’t want. (I have several rows of large background images that should be touching- no margin at all).
So the closest I can get for now is to have the row set to full width content and have a 25% row padding ‘top’ and 10% ‘bottom’ + 17 % column padding. That makes the images OK on all screens, BUT the link doesn’t work over the row padding, just the content area, so it if you click anywhere in the outer area of the image (where the row /column padding comes into affect) the link doesn’t work.
so the links don’t work over the column or row padding. They do work on dividers but I can’t add percentage to dividers only pixels – so that doesn’t come out well on mobiles.
do you have any solution to this please?
I need a full screen background image that respects the aspect ratio but links full screen too.
Many thanks in advance.
love this theme.
Hey firefly33,
Could you please share your URL where you’re attempting to accomplish this so I can assist? Also, the next release will be adding the option to use other values (%,vh etc.) to dividers.

Hi would it be possible to display products like a list, for example the blog magazine post “full-post-link”? Instead of columns?
Hey mmarquez138, Salient does not offer a list style for products, however, I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist
Hey everyone!
WordPress 5.3.1 was just recently released and can cause warnings to show when saving your page on certain server setups. To ensure compatibility, please update Salient, as well as the included Salient plugins.

Hi ThemeNectar,
Can you let me know how I can disable the lightbox on screensizes smaller than 1280?
https://dev-protectoceansnew.pantheonsite.io/expeditions/imappivut/ I tried the following but it doesn’t appear to work:
.portfolio-items .col .work-item .work-info a { pointer-events: none!important; }
Many thanks.
Best, Alan
Hey Alan,
add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:
@media only screen and (min-width: 1280px) {
.mobx-gallery * {
pointer-events: none;
}
}
Hello—I notice on my site in the blog categories that when scrolling down the page my thumbnail images don’t load https://jamescarveronline.com/category/filmmaking-and-video-production/ but on my other site using the same theme I don’t have that issue as you scroll down the page https://thefictionstoryroom.com/category/filmmaking/
The settings seem to be the same in the Sailent panel from what I can tell.
Hey JayCarver,
For some reason it looks like you have the “Featured Image Left” set in the Salient options panel > blog tab for your style to be used on all blog archives, but on that one specific category, you’ve linked it’s using the “classic” style instead. Which style are you intending on using? Could you kindly reach out via the contact form on my author page with temporary admin access so I can see what’s going on from the backend? https://themeforest.net/user/themenectar
Cheers
Ok cool I just emailed through the form an admin access. I do not have preference on whether it’s using classic style or not, my main issue is that no matter what settings I choose, the lazy load option does not load the images properly when a user scrolls down the page.
Thanks JayCarver
Hi ThemeNectar—I never heard back from you on email. I uploaded the .js file you gave me plus did the most recent update and in both instances still have the same issue.
Is there a reason this is only happening on this one website of mine? I have two others using this theme and do not have this problem.
What happened to this feature: “Load Ext. Characters in Default Font” under typography – Salient options?
Hey tceriksen79, the extended characters are now loaded by default. If you’re having issues with that, please share your URL in regards.
Thanks in advance
Also on the same website elements and text blocks are overlapping the header/menu bar.
https://imgur.com/6CagVflPlease assist.
Thank you.
Hey again Adam,
Once you share the URL I’d be glad to take a look
Hey Adam,
That’s occurring due to the way you have set up the page to handle the header nav using a red background. You have a negative 100px top margin set on the row which holds the text “The DoggyLottery Story”. Please remove that and also
remove the red color and height you have set on the page header: https://ibb.co/p0H64kv and also disable the option on that page to force the transparent navigation. This will correct the spacing issue and show the regular header navigation, without transparency. If you then wish to have a red background for your header navigation, you can set the default header coloring in the Salient options panel > header navigation > logo & general styling at the bottom by selecting “custom” for the Header Color Scheme.
Cheers
What if I only want the header showing as red on specific pages? That’s why I used the features above that you’re asking me to disable.
Hey pickleipsum, in that case, you would still need to remove the negative margin on the row and then use CSS to alter the height of the page header on mobile devices only
