Hi there – was there any issues in the recent versions of the theme that was blocking the auto updating of Wordpress from Minor versions? Lately I’ve had to manually login and update on a number of our sites running the 7 Theme to 5.3 then to 5.3.1 and now I notice they haven’t updated to 5.3.2 automatically – so have you guys come across anything like that regarding the theme? Thanks
Hello!
Nope, the theme does not affect updates of WordPress. Could you please make sure CRON is working fine at your WordPress.

hello how many sites can I upload with a 1 licens thanks?
Hi!
According to Envato Standard License, one purchased theme copy can be used for a single website only https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard This is true for all ThemeForest themes, not just The7.
I wholeheartedly agree with Kevin Dean’s comments on the change to paddings in version 8. I’m surprised you say that “most users have not noticed the change” because it looks pretty bad on all my The7 sites. I hope you decide to bring back the option of separate paddings for mobile and desktop devices.
If not (or in the meantime), I’d be very grateful if you can propose some custom css that would enable me to put my sites back the way they were before this undesirable change, with different left/right padding settings for mobile and desktop. Thanks in advance.
Hello!
Yes, we are currently working on it – going to add settings for content and footer paddings on mobiles.
That’s great news. Thanks very much.
Thanks for adding your voice to other peoples’. And sorry for the temporary inconvenience.
Thank you for fixing this in version 8.1.0.
Hi, if i download on themeforest, the archive contains version 7.8.2. Why i can’t download latest version 8.x.x? thanks and regards
Hi,
We have a bit of mixed feedback regarding the new settings we’ve added. So we had postpone the update for couple of working days.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding!
Hi!
The slider is working for me https://ibb.co/gR1zZp1
If you still experience any problems, please submit a ticket to https://support.dream-theme.com/.
asking me again to purchase site?
Do you still use your purchased copy of the theme on some website? If you do, you need to buy one another copy for the new website.
If you don’t use the theme on any website anymore, you can deregister the purchase code here https://repo.the7.io/manage/ and apply the code for another website.
i cant use this template for another domain. why?

- Happy New Year 2020 ! *
I am very unhappy with the update to 8.01.
KevinDean has already described the problem in detail. The update destroyed my layout and my customer is very angry.
Please find a way to reactivate the old paddings as soon as possible.
KevinDean … https://themeforest.net/comments/23420285 Yes!
Thanks – we have forwarded your feedback to our dev team!
Thanks a lot. I would be very pleased – and certainly also other affected persons – if a good solution could be found at very short notice.
Hi,
You guys won. We underestimated how many people are using these advanced settings. Dedicated mobile settings are a good idea and we’re already working on them. Update will be available in couple of working days.
Hello, apart from the fact that it was not about winning, this is great news. Thanks a lot!
It should have been “You guys won :)”. With the smile. I posted the comment from the phone and ThemeForest removed the emoji from it.
Hello, can you perhaps estimate how long it takes until a solution is available? Thank you very much.
Hi!
The update is ready – we are testing it at the moment. Hopefully, it will take 1-2 days.
Great. Looking forward to it
Hi,
Sorry for taking so long. It was the Orthodox Christmas season – national holidays in our country.
We are planning the release for tomorrow.
Hey! Don’t worry – it’s all right. We had a few holidays here too. Better properly designed and tested than a buggy beta. You know what I mean
Yeaahh! V 8.1 is here
Just waiting for some infos in the changelog https://the7.io/changelog/
Hi,
The changelog is already up to date.
Uppss! Sorry! My fault. Yes it is up to date! Thank you!
Cloudflare caching is quite aggressive. Please reload the page couple of times.
Thank you. Good job. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks! You too.
Hello, mmmhh, I am of the opinion that with the new version you cannot configure the previous behaviour.
[Responsiveness] When screen width less then 768px make padding 25px
[Mobile header]
First header switch point (tablet): 1090px
Second (phone): 500px
The “Top Bar” is shown up to width > 500px, but the borders are already set to 25px at < 768px.
Can’t be realized with the new version apparently. Any idea?
Hi,
A good point. You are right.
A short explanation of our logic first:
Top bad is a part of the header. Therefore top bar paddings and responsiveness settings should be tied to the header settings.
We were discussing separate settings for the top bar but decided that it would be an overkill.
Now when you are pointing it out with a good example (you need to collapse the menu before the rest of the content) we see that our logic falls short.
You can contact our support for a temporarily custom CSS fix while we’re working this out.
Hello, thank you very much for the detailed answer.
I had to restore a backup and thus return to V7. My client, for whom I use this theme, is quite annoyed and I have an unpleasant amount of unpaid work. Unfortunately, all quite unpleasant. I’ll probably wait until there is a final solution. I will have to test it locally, because I will lose my customer if there is another problem.
A lot of unpaid effort only because of an update
I hope that there will be a final solution soon and such “experiments” will be better thought out and tested in the future.
Hey! Does 8.1.1 fix the problem?
Hi,
We are planning to add separate responsiveness setting for the top bar in v.8.2.0.
Many thanks for the quick feedback. I am looking forward to the new version 8.2
8.2.0 released – with a separate responsiveness setting for the top bar?
Hi,
Yes. But I would recommend to wait couple of days with an update… if you get my meaning
OK
Hi Guys. Happy new year!
The problem with icons still persist and recently I’ve updated all plugins and theme but icons still not showing up. Any ideas how to fix it. Thank you!
Hi!
Could you please submit a ticket to https://support.dream-theme.com/ and provide links to pages with an example of the problem. Our guys would be glad to assist!
What is the shortcode for current year?
Example: © [current_year] would read out as © 2020
Thanks
Hi,
Do you know how to Auto Update Copyright Year in footer?
Thanks!
Hi,
Nope. But that’s a good idea. Forwarded to our dev team.

Hi,
At this moment it’s available only from our servers. You can perform the update via Dashboard > Updates interface.
We will be releasing v.8.0.1 both on our servers and ThemeForest this Monday.
Hey Guys, I have just tried to do some updates on my website. Once one of the updates had completed I was getting the error that a critical error had occurred on the site. Once I turned on Debugging to see what had gone wrong I am getting the following error:
Fatal error: Class ‘The7pt_Posts_Scroller’ not found in /home/weflydro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/dt-the7-core/mods/portfolio/public/class-mod-portfolio-scroller.php on line 5
Can anyone please help me to fix this and get my site up and running again.

I don’t need support but just wanted to point something out with version 8.
“We have revised the “Side paddings” block in Theme Options > Advanced > Responsiveness. This should cause no issues, but you may want to double-check the settings described in paragraph 3 below.”
The “This should cause no issues” is not the case because doesn’t appear that the old settings are being copied to the new settings as part of the updated so if you don’t use the default left/right paddings you do have to go reset them in all the new areas. Not a huge deal but one would think part of the update process could be transposing the old paddings to the new paddings automatically.
Hi,
A good point. Theme uses the settings that previously were used for paddings on mobile devices. So if you had different settings for mobile and desktop, you’ll notice the site width on desktops slightly changed.
It also didn’t apply existing paddings to the new header and footer left/right paddings. Luckily as noted in the changelog I looked at my settings before updating and just re-applied them.
Hi,
Thanks. I’m forwarding your observations to the dev team. Maybe the algorithm for automatical calculation of this setting requires some refinement.
Cheers!
Hi!
May I ask you if you have any backups, so that we can check how the values are transferred? Or maybe you could, at least, provide wp-admin credentials? We would really appreciate it. This info can be submitted through http://support.dream-theme.com/ Thanks!
I don’t have a site available for you to enter, but I just did another update from 7.9.1 to 8.0.1.
Settings before update:
Advanced—> Responsiveness Side Padding 50px When screen width is less then 768px make padding 20px
After update all the new settings use the 20px value, when I would expect the 50px value to at least be used on:
• General Appearance > Layout, “Margins for pages, posts & templates” • Top Bar & Header > Layout > Header layout settings, “Header paddings” • Top Bar & Header > Mobile Header > First header switch point (tablet), “Header paddings” • Footer & Bottom Bar > Footer > Footer layout, “Paddings”.
This would leave – Top Bar & Header > Mobile Header > Second header switch point (phone), “Header paddings” – set to 20px;
Although this new setup appears to lose some things, namely the padding being reduce-able from 50px to 20px when the screen width is less than the entered width, which applies everywhere if I’m correct. Now we only have the Mobile Header second switch point to set a new width there, but what about having adjustment areas for a new padding for General Appearance > Layout Mobile and Footer & Bottom Bar > Footer > Mobile Footer layout for example. Or am I missing where overall paddings can still be adjusted lower than a specific page width.
Hi,
Happy New Year!
No, you’re not missing anything.
We have indeed removed separate paddings for mobile and “desktop” devices. And we’re using old mobile setting as a default. This was done to ensure “compatibility” with how column gaps work in the Elementor
We were actually arguing about this a lot. Most users have not noticed the change, but some are unhappy.
Do you think having settings for both mobile and desktop devices is necessary? Or current settings are sufficient.
Thanks!
Having the option is always better. Having a page padding of 50px like the pre-built websites often set is not usually desirable at mobile sizes when the paddings previously reduced to less than half of that. Think about if you like nice and beefy 100px padding on desktop. Would you really want to be stuck with losing 200px on mobile off the width. Not likely. For now where necessary I’m sure I can add some custom css to add back the moble paddings at lower than sizes, I just wish I wouldn’t need to examine all the sites I’ve built with The7 to determine which are fine and which need further adjustment from how it previously worked. I like keeping my left and right alignment consistent but now if I allow the header to reduce to 20, the rest of the page and footer is misaligned at 50. Probably not as noticeable on phone, but maybe more-so on tablet/in-between sizes.
I’m just never a fan of updates like “Hey we improved things with this version by removing flexibility and making things harder than before. Yay!” I like the idea of separating the settings into different sections which makes that more flexible but it just loses the responsive design flexibility it had before to keep things consistent from the top of the page to the bottom.
Hi,
We have underestimated how many people have different “desktop” and “mobile” paddings. We are already working on mobile settings settings.
Sorry for causing this inconvenience.
Hi, Does the theme contains a countdown timer ? I have seen a countdown timer in Coming soon demo but i don’t know if it can be used in other demos.
Thank you !
Hi,
Yes. This feature is available in Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder (comes with the theme).
Thank you !
