I’m writing now a guide how to update theme from previous version as some things will need to be set again, also if you’re planing to update please first do it on some staging site, not on your live site. This was quite a big update and many things were done from scratch, also most functionality is now moved to a plugin (as required by ThemForest reviewers)

Without customization, which of these things can I do….1) Can I setup the template so that employers can only contact employees if they have a contract with the employee? 2) Is there a way to have a rating system for employees with feedback and star rating, for example? 3) I want to have admin upload documents and assign to employers. 4) Employers can leave comments about each job. 5) Employees can upload resume and ID. (I know some css and how to install plug ins myself)

you need Resume Manager add-on for that
If you want the same content as the demo page, you need to buy also some additional plugins, WorkScout is based on WP Job Manager and it’s add-ons. The free version of WP Job Manager allows for listing jobs and job submissions, If you want to have resumes, application, bookmarks, job alerts and other features you can see on a demo, the best way would be to buy the Core Add-on Bundle for 125$ https://wpjobmanager.com/add-ons/bundle/ – it’s all clearly explained in WorkScout description.
WP Job Manager is owned by Automattic so the company that ‘owns’ WordPress, I don’t think there’s a better guarantee that that plugin will work and will be maintained, can’t say that about other solution from developers who might abandon their project if they will stop selling. Using WPJM you are always sure you can change the theme any moment and all your data and jobs and everything else will still work. With other solution you might be stuck or have a lot of work to migrate your data.
The header shows logo and menu on different rows, but i need in one form
Can you show a link or screenshot of that? On lower resolutions the layout will automatically switch to ‘alternative’ where the menu is in row below the logo. Otherwise it wouldn’t fit most menus, but you can control that in Customize panel
I fixed that, can you please let me know how to add the contact number to top of menu on header?

we don’t have such option in WorkScout, no place for that, you could try to edit header.php to add it somewhere but it would probably require some additional CSS to position it somwhere
everyone has been waiting for the update for 6 months. they just promise. However, they prefer to delete ratings and comments (which is actually already a scam). Support also fails. when will the big promised update come? We finally want to implement a functioning page.
We don’t have option to remove ratings or comments, Envato does that if they break the rules. Throwing “scams” like that is not nice.

Hi I’m having big problem on the web. Normally, when a job offer is to be posted, the advertiser must first preview and then he can post the offer in the next window that appears. The problem is that now when an advertiser clicks on the preview button it does not go to the next window, it cannot post de job offer. When he clicks on preview, he simply stays on the same screen. Three advertisers have contacted me for the same problem and when we test we have the same problem too, only sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I was able to get almost everything work with the exception of the jobs list page.
The big deal is that while my maps, location search and autocomplete work perfectly, the mile radius is not calculating properly. I have a job in New York, NY, USA and I search for Brooklyn, NY, USA with 60 miles radius, but the job does not appear in results. When I change the radius to 6000 miles then it shows. I triple checked the job’s coordinates and everything looks right, except for the search page.
Check if you configured API key correctly, and that is not domain restricted (the API key for Job Listings -> Settings)

Is there a status on the next update that fixes the distance filtering bug? Our people don’t want to renew until it’s released as it has been “coming” for over a month.

The sidebar location/distance filter on searching resumes doesn’t filter search results.
I have a fix for that, I can apply that on your website, we’re just working on new big update and I thought we’ll manage to release it last week but didn’t finish everything on time

We don’t check license activation (yet, but due to big increase of warez site we’re planing to add activation system to our themes) so you can install it on new domain but legally, one license allows to use it on one domain.

ad1. There’s no option to add custom fields to sign up form without customizing that in code
ad2. You can use Contact Form 7 to send applications so that will come as email to employer. Using Applications add-on will send notification about new application

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I updated to Resume Manager (v1.18.0) yesterday and my Resume map/list page ran into issues with function(response). The issue is the map wouldn’t load, and my sidebar filters wouldn’t work. Console in inspector showed the error.
I think I found the issue in /wp-content/themes/workscout/js/workscout-resumes-ajax-filters.min.js
In the Workscout .js file at around line 64 it uses:
success: function( response ) { .......
When looking at the Resume Manager /wp-job-manager-resumes/assets/js/ajax-filters.min.js I see that same line uses:
success: function( result ) { ......
I swapped the whole ajax block from Resume Manager file into the Workscout file and it worked for me.
