Hello, when I check if I have the latest Enfold version installed (through themeforest username/API) it says “You are running the latest version! (3.6.1)” but on your website I see that there is a newer version (4.6) – how can it be installed? Why doesn’t it work via Enfold>Theme Update directly? Thank you!

You are currently using a very old version of Enfold and you would need to update the theme to the latest version manually due to changes made in Envato API. You can read more about it and find update instructions here

Hi, I have bought the theme, but the demo importing for Enfold 2017 doesn’t work. I get this message: “Importing didnt work! You might want to try reloading the page and then try again”. I researched the problem and it seems you have a manual way of doing this, can you share that method? I have tried contacting you via your support forum but I can’t even open a new post there – the button to open a new thread doesn’t seem to be working. Thank you in advance for your help!

I purchased this theme a few years ago and its been the best thing I’ve ever bought. With that said, recently, the social media icons at the bottom of the homepage only show up when hovering over them. Is there a way to fix this? Help, I purchased incarnation theme a year ago and now it is throwing all kinds of errors. The theme was taken down by you, the author, and now my website is not working. I can’t add a post at all. The errors are indicating something wrong with the theme.

In the advanced builder, is there a way to add the Yoast Structured data blocks (like in the normal editor)? These have great SEO benefits but I cant select them in the advanced builder (yet, I hope)

Please go to Enfold theme options > Layout Builder and make sure “Automated Schema.org HTML Markup” is activated. If that does not help, you can try 3rd party plugins.

I checked your website and it seems like only home page would require some customization to display the posts as in your example and also Enfold does not have a like button option for posts. You could easily re-create other pages though

With last wordpress version and last woocommerce version, prices in products has dessapeared… I mean, the price close to Add to Cart button, is gone

I tried to check it using last Wordpress theme (Twenty Twenty) and it works fine. So it’s Enfold theme that doesn’t show prices…

Hi Kriesi & the team.
Would it be possible to let us know the plans for Enfold over the next year? The majority of updates are now tweaks or fixes to existing elements and it seems the evolution of the theme has plateaued somewhat.
It would be great to have some new functionality updates – new page builder items, a header builder, the ability to add more than 5 columns without having revert to css hacks, more border styles for color sections, to switch out headers on different pages, user permissions per page builder element etc.
Also can you revive the feature suggestions box?

I am actually testing a plugin. If it fits our needs, hopefully we will be reviving feature request form. We used to take requests through forum threads however we do understand that this is not the most convenient way, both for users and us.
I have forwarded your requests to our devs. But a few comments: Header changes are always tricky, that is why we are being extra cautious when it comes to header customizations. We have added most frequently requested header and menu customizations to our documentation – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/menu/ and https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/header/. Our teammate Vinay is working on new Color Section border styles so hopefully those will be added soon (probably not in upcoming update though as we are almost ready for it).
Do you have any specific new page builder item in mind? Honestly, we would like to add elements that are useful for at least majority of users and not to bloat the theme. In case you are not aware of this thread, a fellow Enfold user created custom elements and provides them as a plugin.

Hi and thanks for getting back.
Instant things that would make the theme more friendly. Most are issues that we have to workaround with CSS / plugins which would be far easier to manage from the backend:
The ability to:
- Add more than 5 columns, even 6 would be a huge improvement.
- Set the breakpoint for the mobile menu from the backend.
- Set vertical padding for the logo from the backend.
- Manually set column / cell responsive stacking order. Try doing a <image><text> above <text><image> and you’ll see the issue.
- Some more control for submenu padding – standard dropdowns and megamenus have different default paddings which means a lot of tweaking to get everything lining up.
- An option for not forcing styles for curent page item in sidebar menus.
- An option for larger thumbnail sizes in the news widget – they are barely visible and often need to be regenerated with larger thumbs.
- Better font management. It’s great having a huge list of fonts but we need to check them one by one on Google fonts – could you provide an up to date fontlist preview on google fonts?
- Again on fonts, perhaps the option to set a font to a custom class/div from the advanced style panel?
- Page builder items – lock or make editable by user role – a huge one for us as we deal with schools with multiple users of varying abilities.
- A header page builder similar to the footer one?
- Add a widget or a text block to the right of the logo in the logo-left-menu-below layout (or vice versa).
- Add a dropdown menu to the top bar.
- Better support for Ubermenu out the box.
- Beter mobile performance – we have to use Auto-optimize and Async JS to get the mobile performance anything close to the (great) desktop performance.
- Page Builder Item – A decent carousel with the ability to scroll full pages or at least give us a page builder for each item in the carousel – shortcodes are tricky and not the full set. Case in point: a scrolling logo (left) with testimonial (right) showcase, both vertically and horizontally centered – very tricky to build with the current tools.
- I know it’s tricky but nested columns. If we want to build a full page using columns as it’s the best approach to fit a design, we are using a 1/4 col for a sidebar and then a 3/4 for the page content – we then cannot have, say, a double column within the page content. Another approach might be the ability to set a grid row with a max-width, centered which then gives this ability out the box.
- For news widget OR Magazine page item – vertically centered title/date. If we remove the date from news items, the title sits vertical top with no simple way to center it without a few lines of CSS wrangling.
That’s off the top of my head but I’ll put some more thought into it in the new year.
