Hi @codetipi,
I am having an issue when we are on category page.
When we try to add or edit a category, We are continuously getting following error
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: https://yourdomainname.stage/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category Line Number 1, Column 1:
Note: Classic Editor is already installed. Also for your reference, we able to rectify this issue due to Tax-meta-class.php file reside in your core plugin plugins->cubell-themes-functionality->extensions.
Can you please give a quick fix of this error?
Thank you in Advance
Hey Zaib,
This has already been fixed for the next Valenti update (v5.6) which is now in beta.
Codetipi is looking for new beta testers at the moment, would you be interested in helping test the new version? If so, please check the announcement below. The sooner we get beta testers, the sooner the update will be out
Codetipi
Hi there, the new update was said to be releasing early 2020 (January) and it’s now February. Do you have any updates? I’m really tempted to move away from this template as it’s super outdated at this time.
Hey there,
Valenti will receive an update fairly soon, the next update is almost in beta and if you’d like to be a beta tester, please follow http://facebook.com/codetipi as a call for more beta testers will be announced soon. Only thing to note is that you do need valid theme support to be a Valenti beta tester.

HI,
My hosting company already updated the PHP version 7.3 and this is minimum requirement of WordPress now.
https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/January already past so can you please confirm the upcoming version of Valenti 5.6 date?
Your prompt response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Codetipi,
I got an e-mail from my hosting stating that they are upgrading to PHP 7.3 this month and they can’t exclude my site. Is it possible to give a specific date for the theme update? I will be in a big trouble soon. Thank you.

Hello, I’m editing my friend’s website that uses the Valenti theme, so that he doesn’t do anything, when using the C module and click on one of the options that he reduces the size by 50% for another module on his side, no nothing happens it doesn’t diminish for me on the other hand by your side. what could it be?
Hi SilverLoord,
I’m afraid support can only be given to confirmed buyers, please ask your friend to login to the account that purchased the theme and ask through that one or open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com

Hi again,
Did you happen to issue a fix for the following new issue with Google breadcrumbs? I am noticing an escalation of errors in my Search Console related to this and did not know what to do:
https://meetanshi.com/blog/fix-data-vocabulary-org-schema-deprecated-error/Thanks
Hi there,
The Valenti breadcrumbs use that schema, but deprecated doesn’t mean a problem, it’s just a warning that in the future it will completely stop working (but is still working now with no problems).
The upcoming Valenti update will modernize the schema to JSON+LD type, so it will be working fine there.
Codetipi
Got it thanks. When is that update being released and will there be a notification sent out to theme owners? Or does it have to be completely repurchased?
It’s no problem, it is under development now and you will get an email when it’s out. It will be a free update for all existing customers too
Any final timeline for the next update. I cant edit posts and get a lot of errrors. Have tried deactivating plugins with no luck. But changing theme helps..
Hi ReneHoj,
Try installing the Classic Editor plugin for now, that should fix it all. The upcoming update will be the one where Valenti will be optimized and officially compatible with Gutenberg
Codetipi
Hi there!
I get the warning message “data-vocabulary.org schema deprecated” in Google Search Console on many pages since yesterday.
I don’t understand if it is cause by your theme or a plugin, do you know if breadcrumbs support by Valenti could have a link with this?
Cheers!

no update on the new theme version
Hey DonnaCarter22,
The next update will add official compatibility for Gutenberg, PHP 7.3, WordPress 5.3, etc. It won’t be too long now
Codetipi
Thank you!!

Hi there, I have a question related to updating the formatting of H1/H2. For example, I’d like to have the H2 tags throughout the site update to the same font size as the H1 tags and also default to black color. How can this be accomplished within this theme? Thank you!
Hey Achiaravallo,
That can definitely be done with a some custom css – open up a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and include a relevant url, that way the support team can take a look and write you the custom css snippet.
Hope this helps.
Codetipi
Hi – I just tried to submit a ticket but looks like there is a $41 fee to renew support on this item? Seems like this should be something that should be done from theme options menu. It’s also a lot of $$ for this one simple request. Possible to bypass this? I purchased lifetime theme license and have purchase code to verify. Let me know – thanks
Ah you don’t have valid support – I’m afraid this isn’t something us authors set/control, the support system is 10000% Envato’s creation and they are the ones that set the rules for it all.
Your license is a lifetime single license, but it does not include lifetime of support, to ask for any kind of support (this applies to every theme on Themeforest) you have to have valid support for the theme, as the Codetipi support system uses the Envato API to work (which itself checks for valid support), so there is no way around it I’m afraid.
If you open a ticket, the support team will be able to help though.
Hope this info is helpful.

Hi, question regarding permalinks and the menu.
I have permalinks set up to show ‘post name’. This works apart from within the menu where it always displays the word ‘category’ followed by the category name and then post name if you hover over the category based URLs. You can see this in the Valenti demonstration e.g.
https://valenti.cubellthemes.com/category/lifestyle/fashion/After a bit of googling it seems this is a Wordpress thing but I’m not 100% sure! I’ve read that to remove the word ‘category’ from the URL when you are referencing a category in the menu, you need a 3rd party plugin e.g. Yoast SEO. I know you can enter an optional ‘category base’ but all that does is replace the word category for another fixed word. And this custom structure does not work either:
/ category / postname /
It still shows the word ‘category’ in the URL. Seems an odd design choice for Wordpress as it is a waste of characters that are best served for SEO purposes.
Thanks
...having said all that the . (dot) method mentioned here works on my installation but I have heard of it crashing others so not sure how good a solution it is:
https://themerella.com/remove-category-wordpress-urls/I just tried it and I am getting the category name and no ‘category’ in the URL.
Hey Dan,
Happy New Year
Yeah you are correct, you need a plugin or custom code to do this, as a theme doesn’t control the permalink structure in any way, it’s all passed down from WordPress.
I think the cleanest/best way is to just use Yoast SEO’s category remover option, as you will need to do 301’s from your old url to your new url structure (this is only needed if your site is live and you have backlinks to the old urls).
Hope this helps.
Codetipi
Thanks. Whilst I thought the dot method was working (it appeared to be), I got a warning from Google about my breadcrumbs. I soon realised I could not access the second and subsequent pages of a category via the breadrcrumb/links to the pages at the bottom of the listing. Yoast don’t have this function anymore so I downloaded and installed this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-category-url/which, once activated, simply removes the word ‘category’ without doing anything special. The breadcrumbs/page links now work.
Ah nice one, happy you found that plugin
Hi there! I was wondering what custom code to add on theme options to change hyperlink color on banner (for instance DGPR banner). Cheers!
Hey Auffrayl,
Happy New Year!
You will need to ask the GDPR plugin author about that, as the styling (color) would be set by the plugin, not the theme
Codetipi
Hi, the date stamp in the backend is correct, but in the frontend article it’s 1 day behind. It looks a like it’s a template problem. Any ideas?
Hey Prsocial,
Happy New Year!
The theme’s date is given by WordPress directly, could it possibly be time zone settings or similar that may be involved?
Codetipi
The dates in the backend are correct. But in the frontend it’s one day behind. When I switch to a default WordPress theme, the date is showed correct. So it’s a theme issue I guess.
Hey again,
That is really strange, I can’t recreate that and it’s never been reported by any other user! Are you sure your cache isn’t the cause? Because switching themes would create a new cache for the other theme, which may be why it appears as expected.
Codetipi
Hello and Happy New Year! I was going to ask if there will be an updates, but I see that you gave us an update via the comments a week ago. Is there a way to be alerted when this theme will be updated for 2020? Thanks!
Hey there,
Happy New Year
If you go to your downloads section here on Themeforest, you’ll see an option under Valenti to be alerted via email
Hope this helps.
Codetipi
Hi, it seems that my version of Valenti needs an update for Woocommerce. Can you tell me how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hey there,
An update for Valenti will be out soon that will update the WooCommerce template files
However, there’s nothing to worry about it and you can use it all fine now. As the overridden template files are just superficial ones, as in, they change how certain things look, but won’t cause any issues to the actual functionality of the shop.
Codetipi
Thanks!
You’re welcome
Hi there. Any update on the new theme version? I see others have asked and see the latest response was about a month ago on that topic. Thanks in advance!
Hey there,
Sure thing – Valenti v5.6 is pipelined to be out very early 2020 (likely January)
It will be update the theme to be compatible with latest PHP, Gutenberg, WordPress, etc .It will then be followed by multiple updates that will continue improving everything (including performance) until the release of v6
Happy New Year!
Codetipi
Hi, I see the in the Update Log the latest update in 2017, but the last version here was uploaded in january 2019. What changed in between? Thanks!
Hey Prsocial,
The next update is due out very soon but it will be a medium update to make the theme be compatible with latest PHP versions, Gutenberg, WordPress 5.3, etc. You’ll get an email when this is out
Codetipi
Hi there,
Is it safe to upgrade to php 7.4 with your theme?
Hey Memt,
Php 7.4 has only been out for a week, therefore, it is 100% not recommended to update to it at all for a while. The WordPress 5.3 update which came out recently was made to be compatible with 7.3 only recently and PHP 7.3 came out officially in 2018!
So yeah, don’t update to PHP 7.4 until WordPress core says it’s compatible, all the plugins you use are compatible and Valenti says it too.

Hi there, I am having an issue with this theme in which images that are right or left justified are causing the text on mobile to indent incorrectly (as in far to the right). Please view this article here on a smartphone to see what I mean: http://bit.ly/2DISaVR
I can also email you a screenshot if it’s helpful. How can this be fixed??
Hi there,
I had a quick look but the images aren’t loading due to a 502 error from Jetpack’s CDN module. I’d recommend disabling all of Jetpack’s modules, except the stats one (the only one you really need).
Hope this helps.
Codetipi
Thanks – I just disabled all of JetPack. But not sure why it would not show images for you at all? I see them fine on my end as do others who view the site.
Quick update here that I had to re-enable JetPack to be able to access the photo tiled mosaic feature. I’m not sure why you weren’t able to see images with it enabled so now I’m concern about that. Any update as to how the text indent issue can be fixed? Here is a link to a screenshot of the issue: https://we.tl/t-JaUvvpt2XP
Hey again,
I can see the images now! But I had a quick look and can’t see the images affecting the mobile layout – did you change anything? If not, what mobile device are you using to see the issue?
Codetipi
I added an extra space after the header for the paragraph. Not ideal from a user perspective but that seemed to have addressed the issue. Can you reference the screenshot I shared and suggest a more permanent fix?
Ah okay, but in order to help you need to show a live url, I can’t inspect the code to determine the cause of the issue on a screenshot. Can you share a url where the issue is live?
Yes – the issue was initially live on this article before I added those extra spaces in manually: http://bit.ly/2DISaVR.
I am also having an issue I have not been able to solve since I installed the theme which is image resolution. All images appear grainy and not even close to their correct resolution. This can be seen on any article with images (check out Travel column for image rich article examples).
Just take a look at the Instagram image quality in my side bar compared to the images in the articles – there is a very stark difference. How can the image quality be improved? The only plugin I am using which I would think would affect this is EWWW Image Optimizer which I have deactivated (still did not fix resolution issue).
Thank you
Hey again,
Could you please share the screenshot of the issue again? The one you shared before isn’t live any more, and as I see hundreds of tickets/comments, I can’t remember exactly what you showed.
Regarding the resolution, the theme requests specific thumbnails so it all looks crisp. However, you are using Jetpack’s cdn module which overrides the images and creates sizes on the fly, in short, this is probably why. Try disabling Jetpack’s CDN module to see the difference. You may need to run the “Regenerate thumbnails” plugin to regenerate the thumbnails if you haven’t done that before.
Hope this helps.
Codetipi
Understood. I found a temporary fix to the text indent issue by adding an extra space above the start of the paragraph when there is a right or left justified image. It is not ideal since the paragraphs now have a larger gap on mobile, but it does look better on a phone from a reader’s perspective. Here is that screenshot: https://we.tl/t-QPylDhJ4Bw
In terms of image resolution, I require the JetPack plugin to be able to use the tiled photo mosaic in your theme demo (I have many articles with this mosaic in place so I can’t disable this plugin). I also do not see the setting in the JetPack menu for disabling the CDN module—where can that be found exactly?
Thanks
One quick follow up here: I did attempt to disable the JetPack setting “site accelerator” > “speed up images and load times” but encountered the following error: Error updating settings. Invalid parameter(s): photon, tiled-gallery, tiled_galleries (Status 400). Is this due to the usage of the JetPack image mosaic feature? Is there any way to keep that AND increase image resolution?
Hey again,
An HTTP 400 means a server request didn’t work – have you tried disabling the cdn module again? That is definitely the fix to the image resolution issue, you should be able to use mosaic tiles with it too.
Codetipi
Ya – just tried it and got the same error message. Very weird. Is there another way to try and address this error message? Happy to email you an admin login if you’d like to take a look. What is best address to reach you at?
Ah I see, in that case, if you only need tiled gallery module from Jetpack, you don’t need to use it at all! Instead use this free plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack/ which is tiled gallery module without Jetpack.
Hope this helps and Happy New Year!
Codetipi
Amazing! This worked like a charm. Thanks so much. Images much better now and tiled galleries look great. No more JetPack – good riddance!
You’re welcome, really happy to hear that
