Hi, there are a lot of factors that may affect store performance, most common are the amount of store data you have and your hosting plan performance. If you display a lot of content on a page it will be slow with any theme, it really depends on how you organise your pages.
Journal provides powerful performance tools built-in, but it won’t magically make heavy sites with lots of content fast.

Hi, I have a small issue….I have 3 licenses for J3 used on 3 websites, i’m having them upgraded one at a time separately but don’t have a record of which licence code was used for which. so is there a way to find out?
Hi, as long as you hold one license for one domain they can be interchangeable so no need to do anything, just own a matching number of licenses for as many domains you use the theme on.

Hi, can I create two different types of products? (in design style) In my case I sell “products” and “services”, both are paid as if they were normal products. But when the customer enters to buy a product … see the texts, blocks etc etc related to the products. But I want him to see other things when he goes to pay for the services. In products for sale you can see the blocks that I created etc. In the services for sale I want you to see other txt blocks etc. Thanks!

Is there a reason product titles in the category and grid view no longer use h3/h4 tags?
Hi, these were interfering with the custom builder we initially had set up for Journal 3. We can’t say they’ll be introduced back at this point for backward compatibility.

I have a mod on my site that swaps Ex Tax: to Inc Tax:.
For this mod to work I have to set my site to Display prices with tax: No.
Unfortunately this means my rich snippet prices are also generated by Journal without tax included.
The code in question is in controller/journal3/seo.php…

Hi, remove $this->tax->calculate function in that file. Please note that our support does not cover such modifications and you may have to consult with an Opencart developer for more information.

Hello, i know that our support has expired, but we want to set up a new opencart site with journal 3. We imported our products, 20.000 products. With the classic theme or journal 2 we have a fast loading page and low mysql queries. When we installed journal 3, our server is, very slow. We moved to innodb and we have now a little performance but still slow. When we change a order history it takes about 2 sec. With classic theme its instantly.
With journal 3 installed, if we go to a product and press refresh (f5) for 10 sec continous the mysql queries go to 700-800 and the site is down for 10-15sec.
What is the problem? We have a VPS 2gb ram php 7.1 mysql 5.7

I am trying to remove categories dropdown option on search on mobile view but it’s still displaying. I have already disabled the category view from styles>search>Default>Categories> Status=Off
Hi DA, never mind on the above, i figured out and it’s working now, for some reason the pre-defined demo module that i was using had the issue, but when i created a new module it worked.
I am using WebP extension, but the manufacturer module layout on home page breaks the webp image but the rest of the formats are okay.

We still don’t understand, the feature seems to be working fine. It adds 2 qty to cart, with double the price.

you clicked twice, one after qty and after add to cart. The costumer will just hit the add to cart.
It doesn’t matter, you can click directly on the add to cart and it will pick up the right qty.
You need to defocus the field before scrolling the page. You have the input field selected and focused and then register a scroll event on the page before clicking the button. You can’t do both, either click outside the field or don’t scroll right in between your actions.
And it is able to set the default behavior of qty input like original opencart: not show counted multiple price just the simple price and add to cart is works after on every kind event? Thanks!
It works in any scenario, except when you have the field focused, and instead of clicking outside or directly on the add to cart button, you take a different action like scrolling.
How can i change the category image – when i change in skins it have no effect 
Hi, nor sure which ones you mean but those from the Journal modules will not change since they are set up in each module and the module can support any combinations.

If I go to a category and then the images of the subcategory appear. I would like to have made these pictures bigger. Especially when there are no products in the main category. Spent many hours looking for it yesterday. But that turned out to be difficult because changing the image sizes has no effect. For what are these size specifications needed when they have no effect?
Hi, you may need to work with the Items per Row option in Journal > Skins > Edit > Category > Subcategories > Items per Row.
In this option you’ll be able to indicate how many items to display per row at any resolution, just add breakpoint rules and apply desired items per row. For each rule there is also a spacing option so apply a spacing between the products as well.
This spacing is a variable defined in Journal > Variables > Spacing, but you can also type a custom value in each field and click enter.

Hi team. I work on a project which is at opencart 2.3.0.2 with Journal 2.
I have a strange problem. At the special product page, i get all products with special price but also i get and many products that have a regular price (i don’t add them to special price).
After many tests, i found that happens after i press the show more tab (pagination). When i press to show more it shows me products with and without a special price.
Any solution? thanks

We need to take a look at your store in order to see what could be wrong, but if you’re using some third party extensions which modify the product page, we cannot help you integrate them in our theme, unfortunately.

That option prevents users from accessing the checkout page, they still can add to cart out of stock products and see the cart page but not the checkout page.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I cannot seem to get the testimonial module to rotate the text like it does in the text rotator. Nor can I get the format I need. The title/text module is the format I want but I am not able to rotate text like I’m wanting to. Perhaps I am doing something wrong with the testimonial module. I’m not finding the answer in the documentation.
Journal 3 is completely new and different from Journal 2, and does not have the same modules. It appears a similar rotating text isn’t available. You can try using the slider module to fade in slides with just text.
