Love this theme! But Since I’ve first installed it I’ve had the same issue. The “explore” page or “Search Page” (with the map & filters) doesn’t load the results about 50% of the time. If you refresh or reload the page, then the listing appear without issue. This is concerning because everyday users will not know to do this.
Page in question is: https://doorrentalproperties.com/explore-listings/

Hi, before I purchase your theme, I have some questions: my business model is a directory of online business, where business location is not relevant. Where main categories will be by business type and location will be by shipping country, and every business type can have more than 1 shipping country. So when potential users come to our directory can search by type of business and shipping country. Is that possible? Thank u!
Hey there,
In relation to your question here, yes this would be possible by using Regions instead of locations. To customize the search filters, you would also need to use the FacetWP plugin.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out once again in case of any questions.

Hi, is it possible to set a working zone/area for the vendors? Also is it possible to restrict customers, to only be able to buy, if their address is within this zone/area set by a vendor?
Hey there,
Unfortunately these features are not possible by default within Listify. It would entail some custom work to have these implemented.

Hello,
The Search On My Homepage Doesn’t Work
I’ve tried this, but it didn’t work: https://listify.astoundify.com/article/540-the-search-on-my-homepage-doesnt-workI already tried to change the permanent link but it doesn’t work.
I researched here and saw that many people also had this problem.
I couldn’t find a place to ask in support. Could you answer right here? Perhaps your answer will help many people with the same question.
Thanks

drag & drop on home page? where and how?
In reference to your question here, We use widgets in our theme to build pages, for example, the home page, listing pages are controlled by custom widget areas and design elements can be arranged in any way you wish. You can drag and drop widgets and lay them out on a page however you would like. Please note that the theme does not provide a drag and drop builder . I would recommend on checking out this article for more details on this.
Please feel free to reach out once again in case of any questions.

Hello, I would like to ask you some questions: My client want to buy this wordpress template. He want to users will register their plants (like restaurants or bars etc), but they must pay before their listings are visible on page. Is that possible? Can I configure my own pricing plans? Is that a part of the template? He want to make a registration for example for 5€ per month, if new payment is not paid after the month, the registration is invisible until the payment is paid. Is that part of the template? Thank you
Hey there,
With respect to your question here, yes this is possible but you will require some additional plugins specifically the Listing Payments and WooCommerce Subscriptions if you would wish to implement renewal payments.
I hope this information helps. Should you have any questions, please let me know.

Has the automatic geolocation been implemented:
We are releasing an update to the WP Job Manager – Extended Locations plugin in the not so distant future that will use the users location based on the IP address, the user will not have to click the geolocation button to get their location. It will automatically pick the location based on the IP and enter the address into the location field. Listings will then display based on this location.
Thank you, Brian
Hey there,
Yes this has already been implemented. You will need to use the latest version of the plugin for this feature.

I haven’t seen appointment. Can users make appointments with listing providers ? And if yes, how does the appointment communicated to listing provider ?
Hey there,
Yes, You can definitely integrate the WooCommerce Bookings plugin to add an appointment bookings feature.
Here is also an article on this: https://listify.astoundify.com/article/509-if-using-woocommerce-bookings-can-listing-owners-edit-their-time-availability-for-bookings-or-does-the-site-administrator-need-to-handle-all-booking-management.

I think I’ve found a bug. When you click on the contact button of a list owner, I get the raw html text in the modal:
"Om dit bedrijf te contacteren, <strong>mail jouw gegevens naar</strong> <a class="job_application_email" href="mailto:<removed>?subject=Application%20via%20<removed>%20listing%20on%20<removed>"><email removed></a>"
(I removed the personal information in this string)

Hi,
I plan to launch multiple directories in the next few months. I am currently shortlisting the best directory themes and Listify was one of those. For background I run the SEO for a popular directory site which generates over 500,000 sessions a month purely from directory search traffic. We want to move to a more nimble solution for smaller more targeted directories.
I have noticed that the majority of WP themes don’t have individual SEO Friendly landing pages for CATEGORY/LOCATION combinations. Typically it appears that there is a high-level category (e.g. restaurants), that allows some sort of location filtering, but not an SEO friendly landing page for the category and location combination. This is a problem as CATEGORY/LOCATION pages are the most important pages for a directory if you are hoping to get any sort of search traffic. The CATEGORY/LOCATION combination of “Chinese Restaurants London” should produce a landing page that is directory.com/chinese/london.
My question is can Listify provide this and if so can you show me where I can find a CATEGORY/LOCATION page in the demo, alternatively a Live site that you can share would be even better!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey there,
This is actually possible within Listify. Here is an article on how to go about this: Creating static listing pages for SEO

A presale question. I would like to create a taxi and limo directory platform. Is this possible at your theme? And maybe can you arrange my desired website settings against extra payment? See the task list in the document. I look forward to hearing from you soon if possible. Kind regards, Altuner. https://docdro.id/97bfoy7
Hey there,
In relating to your question here, based on what you have within that document, I’m afraid some of these features would not be possible with Listify by default especially because Wp Job Manager does not support multiple listing types.
As for customizations, we currently do not offer customization services.
Please feel free to reach out once again in case of any questions.

Hello Listify team!
I work for one of our clients. We are using the latest Wordpress and Listify version. Today we’ve updated our server from php 7.0 to 7.3 to make Woocommerce and Paypal Checkout working and all of a sudden the site stops working. We see this error: Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”.
Is Listify only working on older php versions? And what should we do now to make it working on the latest php 7.3 version?
We’ve re-installed wordpress core but to np avail.
With respect to the issue here, Listify actually works with that PHP version therefore it’s most likely an issue within your website environment. To effectively assist you with your inquiry, we suggest getting in touch with our support team here:

hey, to add price in submit listing form we need to buy premium plugin called wp job manager field editor? is there any free alternative? price range is a basic field why dont you have it in your theme??
Hey there,
With respect to your question here, most of the fields within the submission form are from the Wp Job manager plugin. The plugins does not provide a price field within the submission form. Basically listings are not priced as these are not products. To have a price within the form, you will need to add a field for it. Here is an article on this: https://listify.astoundify.com/article/562-modify-the-listing-submission-form.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out once again in case of any questions.

I am also having issues with Listify theme and Wordpress 5.3+. Getting an error at the top of the listing results page… Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/celebr79/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-block-parser.php on line 417
Hey there,
In relation to the warning here, this is an issue caused by the Ninja Forms plugin itself. kindly email us at support@astoundify.com so that we can properly advise you on this.

Hi, does it matters if I add request to the Listify Feature Request page? Is there a road-map for implementing any of these requests? Is the page monitored by Astoundify or not used bu you? https://astoundify.canny.io/listify-feature-requests
Hey there,
In relation to your question here, yes the page is still monitored by us. Please feel free to add any feature requests you may have. I may however not be in a position to provide an exact ETA to the implementation of the feature requests as it currently stands.

Hi John, that sounds great in theory but unfortunately your Website is not working, I bought another 6 months of support, but I can’t submit a Ticket, which creates big frustration now. Not helpful. Even here, it shows the green bar “Supported”, but your Ticket system is offline. Why dont you just help me to debug the Relist/Duplicate bug? My developer can’t debug the theme, he tried many times. Maybe its a conflict with another plugin?
>> Relist / Duplicate Listing does not work anymore. If vendor buys new listing package and wants to relist the old, expired listing or duplicate an existing listing, then i get the error “the link you followed has expired”, https://prnt.sc/qvp6sr Can you pls. send me a link for my developer how to fix this.

Theme doesn’t seem to be getting much attention anymore by developers. I have contacted them on many cases with key improvements that can be made with the theme such as paginated reviews so that a listing with 100 reviews doesn’t become a nightmare to scroll on mobile.
There is no validation done to check if a user selected a star rating. All they did was add a little message telling reviewers to choose a star rating but the review still goes through without choosing one.
If a listing description is long then on mobile it becomes a nightmare, there’s no “read more” capability to auto shorten listing descriptions and show users a “Read More” button to click so that they can get the full description.
There many more features that would make this a much greater theme but the developers seem to have abandoned it.
Hey there,
Thanks for sharing your concern.
In this case, these are actually already within our feature request pool. We were working on another theme hence the slight delay in updates. We will however be updating the theme to fix some of these issues.
Should you have any questions, please let us know.
