Hey! Two questions before i buy this theme (Pressville): 1. Is there an option to filter the directory for open/closed stores? 2. Is there an option to add a Search-Bar for the Events-Area? Thanks in advance!

1.) you mean like in real-time by their opening hours? I am sorry, but that is not possible.
2.) you can add a basic search widget in the sidebar for event pages, but it will search everywhere, not just in events.

I am not not working on those two particular features. BTW as you can see in the demo, the main header search does have a filter option so you can search just for the events.

are you sure this occurred during the demo import? Because this sounds like there went something wrong during plugins installation /activation. Can you please tell me more details when and where exactly you’ve encountered this issue? Have you installed all the LSVR plugins?

Thanks – yes, there was a 500 error importing demo content. I tailed the httpd-error log to find this. Just retested and yes, the 500 error does not generate anything in the error log.
Make sure you are running PHP 7. You can also enable the WP debug mode which will display the error message right on the site without need to check out the error log (you should disable it once your site goes live). You should also try to deactivate and remove the LSVR Events plugin and then install and activate it again (all this via admin, not via FTP).

Just checking, but is there any way to bulk-import to the documents plugin? I have maybe a hundred documents to import. I assume not 
You can mass upload your document files under Media, then you should theoretical be able to assign them all to a single document post. But I am not sure how that will affect the site performance and also you won’t able to categorize your documents that way. But at least the mass upload under Media should save you some time.

Homepage is not showing anymore, out of nowhere, with no change. Under my nav menu it says, ‘Error 404 The server can’t find the page you requested. The page has either been moved to a different location or deleted, or you may have mistyped the URL.’

ooooo wow, so client had access. the front page never saved so the page was left in draft mode by them, which made the settings / reading static front page unable to find that page in draft mode.

Google map is not working on the Events page for me..I generated API Key and put in under Customize opts. It’s showing a gray box but no map data for the single Event page..are there other areas other than Customize>Events where the map can be turned off? ..pls advise thanks.

Hi Lubos, On my header’s web page I need to dispay a main logo (on the left side just as the template) but on the right side I need to display 4 sponsors logos. Just like this example: http://www.usmcocca.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/screen-example-lubos.png I placed the sponsors logo in the header background image but I can’t get a proper position and size, and adjusting the size of the browser it gets worst, on smaller size the sponsors logos gets behind the main one.
First: is there a specific size for the background image to get the right position of the elements? I’ve disable the “large header on home” to get the same size all over the site.
Second: Is there a way to disapear the background image when the browser reach a certain size (small) to prevent main logo and background image with sponsors overlaping? Thanks in advance for your help
Hi,
due to nature of responsive design, you will never get it 100% right this way. It is simply technically not possible. Those logos will be different size and different position on different screen resolutions. Maybe with a lot of custom CSS you can do some magic, but the bottomline is that this approach is completely wrong so it is not worth even trying to do it like that. Apart from problems to even achieve desired look, adding logos into a background image is just very unprofessional.
The right way to do it is via custom code. You need to insert those images separately using the child theme. You can either copy the template-parts/header/titlebar.php file to your child theme and insert the code there, or even better, use one of the provided hooks (for example “lsvr_pressville_header_titlebar_bottom”) to insert the code. Then you will need to style it with CSS taking into account various screen size breakpoints. This is not an easy task of course, so unless you are a web developer yourself, you should definitely hire one for the job.
Basically, this is a much more advanced customization than it may seems. Adding those logos simply into background is tempting and exactly a solution a non-developer would do, but it is a very wrong solution in the end.

Use this CSS to change overlay color events (however this is for the content block/element, widget does not have any overlay):

Pro tip: learn how to work with the Object inspector of your browser (any modern browser have this functionality).
Oh man ty again, getting use to object inspector but find it hard sometimes to find the right element… So I’m using .lsvr-post-list-widget__item-date { display: none; } but still seeing the date and the category in the pressville post widget on the front page. Appreciate all the help btw!
Are you sure you are referring to a widget and not to an element/block? Those are different things.
This is a block that’s within the page builder yes.
So it is not a widget. Try this CSS then:

Wordpress 5.3.2 with Pressville theme. I’m receiving the following error in the Gutenberg editor when adding or viewing any blocks created with LSVR Elements, LSVR Widgets, or Pressville widgets. Blocks created with other elements preview properly.
Blocks are showing properly on the front end.

Is it possible to make events that are TBD… a town website we’re creating has numerous events where they know they’re going to have an event but the date is still being set. Is there a way of doing this and having those TBD events still show on the event calendar?

the built-in events do not support offer or performer fields, so you can ignore those warnings, that’s a non-issue. Unless, of course, you want to have events with listed performers and some sort of pricing, but in that case you should use some more advanced 3rd events plugin instead.
