Unfortunately, the only way to do this would be to move its script to index.php. It’s stand-alone page template (module) that can’t be incorporated anywhere else (except single page) without custom modification.
Amazing Theme, Just a question.. on the team page, how do I display only two team members, half and half of the page. Instead of the three with the slider or only two but there is still a third of the page blank. Thanks!

The Grid system works great for text content… but with the black and white hover feature for the team page… it causes the image to not display.. in the tutorial video.. you have the team page with the slider however it is only displaying two members at a time. That is what I am attempting to do.
That’s the stand-alone page template – it doesn’t require any content except shortcodes mentioned in documentation. Only static pages require Grid System columns (full width, left sidebar and right sidebar).
I hope it’s clear now If you don’t need slider and you want to have only two members then you should go with “default page template” and just two Grid System columns.
Yes I totally get what your saying.. but my issue is when I use shortcodes and everything.. the images dissapear and there is no more neat hover over for colour effect…. for me to display two people.. with two images.. titles names and a description… what do I need to do.. the page template.. and the code.. right now I have :
content development, and lover of all things tech.[/content_block]And that bit of code is in the content page slider template.. and there are two next to eachother.. with a space for a third.. how do I keep all of the formatting and all of the effects of hover over. I have tried the short code column 1 content . And it just messes it up in the regular page template and the slider and the two coloumns.

Well, there is technical limitation – that page template requires at least 3-4 images to work correctly.
If you only have two members then better solution would be to go with regular static page. There will be no fancy hover effect but at least it will be presented in clean and correct manner.
If you’d like to keep that carousel then you need to find some way to display at least 4 images – perhaps duplicate them or put something else in between? Like additional description without images? Or images of something funny in between?
Well, I’m leaving finding some creative approach to resolve this issue to you – now you know what technical limitation is there. It wouldn’t look good if it was that wide with 2 columns (images would be centered and narrower than columns – I hope you understand why we’re starting with 3 columns).

Hi, I’m a web developer and the client I’m working for owns thistheme. I have to admit this is a pretty awesome theme ( I may buy this theme for my self soon); however, I was working on the portfolio section and came across a problem. Each time I edit a portfolio post, such as changing the thumbnail’s hover color (or highlight) of the thumbnail, and etc, I select update. The system then tells me the post has been updated, but I recheck the settings and it seems like the settings reset to their default (settings from the demo sql dump). Changes within the portfolio page itself has not been made.
May you please tell me how to solve this problem ?

I hired a freelancer to translate and insert Facebook comments, but I’m really interested in upgrading the template to this new version, mostly because of the possibility to link non-portfolio pages in the main grid. Is there a way to update it without losing the translation?
If theme files were altered then the answer would be no. Please check this for more information about custom modifications and updating: http://support.forcg.com/bb-templates/kakumei-flow/help/daisho/index.html#customModifications
Basically, you can only alter style and if you’re planning to change general structure of files then the only option would be to duplicate one of the theme files and add your modification there rather than in original file.
Since, you only added Facebook comments it should be relatively easy to update theme and move the modification to the new version. It’s worth updating to v1.0.5 because of other useful features and yet another version should contain even more additional features
Anyway, v1.0.4, v1.0.5 and v1.0.6 should be all stable versions without any major bug fixes so the only difference between those is amount of features (shortcodes, options etc.).
Hi Flow, I just updated the v1.5, but the site is very slowly and version on style.css still 1.4.
Just updated package to make it say v1.0.5. I’m sorry for that typing mistake.
The new v1.0.5 has been actually optimized and it has 10 heavy scripts less but on the other hand new scripts have been added to extend functionality (shortcodes).
I can take a look at your website and measure its loading speed and tell you what causes slowdowns if they are really present.
New Problems. Portfolio Categories not showing up or disappearing.
I have 2 portfolio pages. I’ve been having a problem of portfolio categories not showing up when I need to exclude them from being shown. I ignored it for a while, but now it’s a problem.
The categories are created with items in them, but in the section to exclude them from showing, nothing shows. Just blank spaces where some categories should be.
Even when I try to exclude the blank spaces, it still won’t exclude the categories.
The other problem is I just recently added a blog page, and had at least 15 portfolio items AND their categories disappear. Gone. I didn’t delete them. They aren’t in the trash. I had to recreate each of them.
Is there an issue with categories that is preventing them from functioning normally or showing up in the editor?

As long as you have at least a few portfolio categories and EACH ONE has at least 1 post inside it should be working correctly. I can take a look at that if you wish. Yes. YouTube, Vimeo, HTML5 videos are supported and there can be more than one
Hello Flow. I would like to know if there is a way to “turn off” the responsive feature of the template. Urgently thank you.
Delete or comment out viewport meta tags in header.php at the top (for iPhone it’s set to like 750px and iPad like 1024px?).
Or better: adjust them to your needs. For instance currently iPhone displays it at 750px which is already responsive but if you change it to let’s say 1024px – it will display standard PC/Mac version.

Option to link thumbnails to external URLs (like blog posts) will appear in v1.0.5 (coming thing week). You will be able to do it manually.
OK…so I can use the template’s portfolio for the blog if I switch the template.php for each ?
Last question: Could I add a sidebar? or I have to do it manually?

Sidebar pages are available for a week or two. Sidebar template in not available for blog.
You can link thumbnails to blog posts but you can’t link blog posts to projects.

Great theme, but it seems the portofolio is not working properly on ipad? If i click on a thumbnail in the portofolio, it only opens a different portofolio item than the one i clicked on?
Thanks That’s correct behavior. Each project needs at least 1 slide – it will be ok then.

In SuperSlide editor you need to add either 1 image or 1 video to have “slide”. It’s just project image. Not thumbnail but image that appears upon clicking on thumbnail. Check this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmgQR2oZ9qk (please add 1 slide like that via Drag&drop or icon).
Hi, Your Theme is amazing. I have a quick question before I can purchase it as I have a few needs.
I would like to add more text on the homepage than what Ive seen on the examples or the live preview so Im not sure if its possible.
On the Live preview there is a paragraph Delivering immersive user experiences for the new media realm
How long can I make that part and would it be possible to have another similar paragraph under all the boxes?

That part can have unlimited length. Just keep in mind that making it too long will cause it to take full space on small screens (like 1366px laptops). You can make font smaller if you wish.
You can add similar one below works by modifying template file slightly. It’s easy change.
You can test both before purchase using Firebug for Firefox or other similar tool (like built-in “Inspect Element” in Chrome or Safari).

One possible selector is: #filters:first-child { display: none; }
You will need some CSS and perhaps JS knowledge to do exact adjustments you need. I can obviously guide you but some changes are too complex to be described. For instance after using above solution you may ask – why first item (other than “all works”) is not selected upon page load? But this will require some further JS modifications.

Hmm, I think I recommended adding it display: none;, right? So, the code would be #filters { display: none!important; } at the end of style.css. Important is just to ensure it won’t be overwritten by anything.

“I would like to change the color of select item.” – you mean in menu? Well, I think you need to contact third party developer because that’s the only way to have custom modifications like this done.
Please understand that it’s more than just a line of CSS code (we actually dynamically add CSS classes and/or styles using jQuery, so that’s why you can’t find it and that’s why :hover doesn’t change anything in Firebug).
It would be hard to explain what part of code is responsible for which part of menu. Even if it seems like it’s one rounded background color, there are in fact a few for different types of menu (compact, normal) and there are a few exceptions that you will need to consider. I’m unable to explain you that – you need to see and understand yourself to get an idea
The easiest you can do is to go to style.css and light.css and replace all blue colors with your color by Find/Replace in your Notepad. The color that you need to replace is exactly: #00A4A7 (please replace only for everything that have #menu as selector or similar selector).
I hope I helped at least somehow but really – you need to understand that yourself to efficiently update styles or ask third party developer for explanation or changes. Alternatively, it’s good to use Firebug or provide us code that you tried to modify but failed on support forum. We’ll guide you. Thanks!

Search is available on the following pages: blog, single post, archive, search page. Search is almost stand-alone module so you can move it to other pages.

Hi Flow, I want to update the version 1.0.2 to 1.0.4. What I need to do?
1) Re-download from “Downloads” tab on Themeforest.
2) Unzip, find daisho.zip inside.
3) Unzip again, login to your server, find “daisho” directory in your WordPress (wp-content/themes/daisho/).
4) Replace all the current files with new ones. Please keep in mind that you can’t use Filezilla or you need to disable file compression in it. Please use Total Commander instead.
5) Please don’t replace /includes/ folder if possible. It may contain images you have uploaded via Drag&Drop. Location for storage of that images has changed in v1.0.4 for better one.
