First of all I would like to thank you all for the great work behind this theme, as a matter of fact is one of my favourite themes out there, at the same time, I’m quite dissapointed about the fact that you guys havent updated the theme since december, we are already in april getting to may and still there isnt anything new, although the advancements in technology have increased, for example the use of mega-menus and functionalities as such, the live editor, and more, I hope you guys are able to bring something great into the community soon but I hope is not too late.

hello. i need to resume support for a client’s website where your theme is used. previous developer bought the theme, but he is not reachable anymore. Is your licence locked(linked) to the domain where it is used? Currently on the website version 8.5 is used and i want to upgrade it the newest version (after updating WP and woocomerce). Site will be hosted on a new server (new IP). Can you tell me how can i do that?

The purchase code is not stored within the theme itself, however you’ll still need a purchase code in order to do the update. The update options are to use the Envato Market plugin, or do download the theme again from ThemeForest: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/

That’s an image gallery set to the “image grid style”, which is masking use of the masonry sizing as explained on the documentation page you’ve linked. The element settings are
Fullwidth
Masonry Style: On
Item spacing: 5px
Constrain Max Columns to 4: On
Gallery Style: Meta on hover w/ zoom + entire thumb link
In the theme options panel > portfolio tab, the “Masonry Grid Sizing” is also set to “Photography based”. If you are using the other option, and will be switching to photography – remember to run the regenerate thumbnails plugin after doing so.

I’m working on my client’s website SEO. I just noticed that the fancybox doesn’t provide the image “Alt Tags” and “Title”. How to enable these stuff?
Hey djmalibiran, the fancy box element does not use HTML img elements but rather sets the image as a background property through CSS. There is no option to use alt tags with CSS backgrounds, as the purpose of the image is only design related.

http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/fancy-box/ but it instead appears you’re referring to a fancyBox3 based lightbox. The images that are dynamically created for the fancybox gallery upon clicking do not exist in the DOM prior and are this not seen by search engines. However, the images that are present in the DOM before interaction should have alt text (i.e. the image you are clicking on to trigger the gallery)Thanks in advance

This is related to the use of the footer reveal option and will be sorted in the upcoming release. To correct it now, add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

Hello Big problem to format the text in Flip Box: - in Front, because no possibility of being in Html mode and placing tags, in particular of line feed - in Back, because it adds line breaks by itself by placing this: As a result, the height of the Flip Boxes varies without my being able to control them. Because of the way WordPress stores shortcodes, only one HTML enabled editor is possible per element. Unfortunately there’s no easy way to have HTML support on the front and back. Could you share the page URL where you’re using the flip boxes so that I can take a look?

The url is: https://www.thera-hypnose.com/seances-tarifs/ What is amazing is that it is enough to edit the flip box, without modifying anything in the text, so that line breaks are added, automatically. Suddenly, this lengthens the flip box in height, mismatching it with the other spouses. On the other hand, when we want to add a line break, it is pure chance: sometimes it works, other times not. Du coup, cela allonge la flip box en hauteur, la dépareillant avec les autres conjointes. 1. I’m still seeing three lines of text in the first fancy boxes compared to two lines of text in the right most fancy box. If you’d like to open a ticket on our support forum in regards with temporary admin credentials, I’d be glad to edit the page in an example. Just let me know the ticket ID here once you’ve done so
2. That string is located in the default “salient” text domain. Here are the docs on translating in regards: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/translations/ If you’re instead interested in where that text is located in the files, check salient/includes/header-search.php

Hi, can anyone tell me how I edit an icon. In the text block on the demo this line is already there “[icon size=”large” image=”steadysets-icon-diamond” color=”Extra-Color-3”]”, so it seems to me that if I don’t want a diamond, I need to replace part of this line – except I can’t find where the list of available icons is. And therfore don’t know what to type in?? Help!

Which masonry style are you using? Only the classic masonry style will add the read more markup by default – if you are trying to that in other styles, you’ll need to copy the relevant entry.php file from salient/includes/partials/blog/styles/ into your child theme and add in the following where desired:

If you also like the header navigation to show as transparent before scrolling, add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

I created a private test site to see how things are working in the currently available version..with its’ latest-supported WP version. - I highly recommend you guys(developers) go back to QA as a large set of the features, and I do mean large set, simply are not working and other settings rely on various others settings to work at all. It’s a spaghetti maze. I also recommend a tooltips system to inform the users as to what half of the cryptic controls can do unless they’re overwritten by other settings. ..The overwriting seems to happen often in the Bakery windows. THREE different locations to setup a color overlay and none of them work ? —This entire project has great potential, it simply needs to work properly…and from what I am seeing, Salient is functional at minimum at this time (I assume the WP-v5.x support was rushed and that they are working to correct that as I do not remember Salient being this unresponsive). I hope that the Salient team pulls together and corrects their systems/controls/etc. Too much simply doesn’t work. To anyone reading this; please recognize that this post is time sensitive and it does not reflect Salient overall, only during a point in time.

The next major release is coming in about a weeks time, as we’re currently wrapping up with the final public beta testing group.
v12 will be providing a completely improved and refreshed UI for element settings. However, in the current release it isn’t a known issue that various element setting are not functional. In your example of the BG color overlay – that is a common option used throughout many demos which are utilizing the current release & WP.
Please reach out directly with a complete list of element settings you’re referring to via the contact form on my author page and kindly also provide the private testing URL in regards so that I can take a look to assist.
