Hi guys, congratulations on the new update, I wanted to know if you guys have any support for Mega-menu with images or widgets, it has been requested since 2014, and there are not support whatsoever under this feature that is highly requested.

Thanks thekayzer1 :)

It’s still an item on the wishlist. For now, it would still require the use of custom CSS or a plugin. However, I’ve noted your +1.

Cheers

Hey!

You guys might be the best on Themeforest. Have a question regarding the Corporate 3 theme:

http://preview.themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4363266?_ga=2.177510821.1214717255.1587315572-1736129500.1570537535

(1) We are 4 founders and in the team section, you guys only have 3 team members per row. How could we change this to 4 (or x) team members per row?

(2) Also, if only 1 or 2 team members, how to center dem so it looks good?

Would be really helpful.

Cheers!

Mr. Cross

Hi, okay, I solved (1). But 1 or 2 team members look gigantic. If I change responsive size to for instance 20 % for each team member, how to center sections? They currently are aligned to the left by default.

Hey Mr. Cross, thanks for your kind words!

Version 12 of Salient has added controls for left/padding on all rows, which is optionally configurable separately for desktop/mobile. You could set the team member in a row, and then specify a value such as 20% for the left/right padding on the row.

Hi,

Is there an option to replace the “add to cart” button with a “view product” button?

If not which file do I need to modify to do so

Thank you in advance.

You’re welcome EspaceTech :)

You didn’t answer my last question : is there a way to remove the category from the breadcrumb trail?

Thanks in advance

Sorry about that EspaceTech,

The breadcrumbs are not a feature of Salient, and we don’t modify the markup. However, you could try and use CSS to target it like so:

.single-product .woocommerce-breadcrumb > *:nth-child(2),
.single-product .woocommerce-breadcrumb > *:nth-child(3) {
 display: none;
}

Hello

another question from me, sorry.

I need the infinite scroll function to display a load more button, rather than loading posts or items automatically on the scroll.

I need a load more button on every 4 posts or so, so it can load more.

Is there a way to disable the automatic load and have it a button to load more?

thanks

Hey elatedconsulting,

The new “Post Grid” element has the option for an AJAX load more button: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/dynamic-post-grid/ You’ll need to switch to that instead of the blog element to make use of it.

Cheers

Hi

Unfortunately, i need to use the standard blog feature – display the blogs in that format, standard blog / no sidebar with load more. The post grid allows only 1 blog layout and that is image with click through to the blog post, not what i’m after unfortunately.

Any chance i can add this to the blog?

Thank you

Hey elatedconsulting, I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist. For the time being, it would be much easier on your end to use CSS to modify the appearance of the post grid rather than coding a new form of AJAX pagination. Could you share your current URL so I can take a look at the setup you have?

Cheers

I have disabled the nectar love button in the single post blog header via the theme options, but it is still there..?

Hey nlvato, can you please share your post URL so I can take a look at the setup to assist?

Thanks in advance

I have another one. Somehow this path appeared in my pages and posts – like here – under the logo – home: about me

https://www.karolinafotyga.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Screenshot-2020-04-18-at-14.08.33.png

Why is that? How can I get rid of that?

Tx!

Hey Karolina, that’s most likely coming from a plugin you have active. It appears your site has a coming soon plugin active right now so I can’t see exactly which one, but if you’re using Yoast, it can be disabled in the settings: https://yoast.com/app/uploads/sites/5/2016/04/Search_Appearance_settings_Yoast_SEO.png

Hey! I have one more question. I wanted to use the frontend editor, but it shows me this screen:

https://www.karolinafotyga.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Screenshot-2020-04-18-at-12.33.06.png How do I fix this?

Thank you! Karolina

Hey Karolina,

I would need to take a look at the actual setup from the backend to check for errors. Have you already ruled out any third party conflicts by temporarily deactivating plugins other than the plugins that Salient includes?

Hey!

Something happened after the last update – and the colors in my cookie consent bar changed to a weird color I haven’t used before. Will you be able to tell me how to change it? I mean those orange “ok” “I’ll pass” and “read more”. https://www.karolinafotyga.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Screenshot-2020-04-18-at-11.47.09.png They used to be grey and white.

Thank you! Karolina

Hey Karolina,

That color is being set directly from the cookie plugin CSS. Perhaps they changed the default coloring? You can alter it by adding this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

body .cn-button.wp-default {
    background: #888;
}

Hello,

How can I remove this red empty area?

https://www.bilder-upload.eu/upload/ad6eaa-1587202995.png

Thank you and best wishes, Michael

Hey Michael, can you share the actual page URL in regards so I can take a look what is causing that?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

why on my site suddenly the submenu is not sticky?

Here is the url: https://dev.savoryandpartners.com/programs/citizenship-by-investment/cyprus/benefits/

Kind regards, Tomislav.

Hey Tomislav, there’s a javascript error occurring in your setup which is causing that. It appears to be coming from a custom added script or through a plugin: https://ibb.co/QNxY0mZ

Hello, sorry i provided wrong url, here is the correct one: savoryandpartners.com/programs/citizenship-by-investment/cyprus/benefits/

Because on subdomains onesignal is not working that’s why it’s throwing the js error.

But can’t figure why it’s not working on the live site.

Hey tomislavbalabanov,

Kinfly try editing the parent row which is holding the element and adding a small bit of padding to the top to see if that corrects the issue.

Is there a way to download a one of “My Templates” that is saved and load it to another Salient site? Thanks!

Hey katt101!

The templates section is a core feature of the WPBakery page builder plugin – as of now, there’s no built in option for that. However, you can use the Templatera addon for that.

Hi, i sent two emails from profile page but no reply?

Hey astutestudio,

The email address that I am receiving when you’ve filled out the contact form on Envato is showing as invalid (envato{at}astute.studio) and thus my responses have failed to send. I’m not sure why that’s attached to your account on here, but you can email me directly from your actual email address using phil{at}themenectar.com

Also, in response to your question, Salient is compatible with 5.4.

Thanks

Hi, i replied you from my personal email, please check and advise

Hello

I have a question about the Flickity slider

I have 3 tabs or 3 carousel items, each tab has different content, mainly text, this varies in size or paragraph.

The issue i have is that if tab 1 has less text than tab 2, then the pagination dots or numbers at the bottom are set to static, and reflect the size if the tab that has more content, in this case tab 2, so the pagination is pushed further down the page, rather than adapting to the height of the tab at the bottom.

Can you please help with this?

Thank you

Hey elatedconsulting,

Adding that functionality in would require a javascript modification currently. In the salient/js/init.js file, run a search for “new Flickity” to end up at the correct location. Within that plugin config object, you can in

adaptiveHeight: true,

I’ve noted to also add this in as a theme option.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for making a note to add as an option.

Just a small correction, the above option is found on

js/third-party/flickity.mini.js

Thanks again :)

Hi there, is there any reference for the footer (design and layout) options?

Hey Location360,

All of the footer related options are located in the Salient options panel > Footer tab: https://ibb.co/z5g0cgB

Is there any specific options which you’re trying to understand better?

Cheers

Hi there,
is it possible to hold the 1425px extended responsive also on 23” and 27” MACs? e.g i would like to the 27” screen to see exactly the page of 1425px without the adapting of the page to a 2560px … Thank you
Here’s the link https://bit.ly/3cnekwb

Hey eduardn1,

Weirdly enough I can not replicate that using Chrome on an Iphone 11. Could you let me know what device you’re using?

Hi,
using Iphone X here’s a video https://streamable.com/2gfb61

Hey eduardn1, I haven’t been able to replicate it yet using Browserstack – can you try and first add the following CSS

body #slide-out-widget-area.fullscreen .inner li a {
   -webkit-transition: none;
   transition: none;
}

If that doesn’t work, kindly switch to one of the other off canvas menu styles for a moment just to rule out that it’s related to that specific one.

Thanks in advance

Hello, I hope you are well. I was wondering if you had a list of all icons somewhere on your documentation please?

Hey redkmarketing,

All of the icons can be found directly within the icon page builder element https://ibb.co/C1kqJ6X

Is there something specific you’re looking for?

Hope you’re well too :)

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so soon, sorry for my delay. I was just looking for a document or webpage you might have, that lists all the current icons, so they are easier to see on smaller screens and easier to find. No issue if you dont have one though. The theme is great!

Hey redkmarketing,

Unfortunately we don’t have a separate document that lists all of them. However, if you use the browser zoom function (scroll + crtl), the icons will enlarge along with the page if desired.

Cheers

hi there, Under Salient Option > Functionality > Related Posts Style: there are only two styles (Material / Classic Enhanced). Ist it possible to add more styles? For example like “Slider Multiple Visible” or “Meta Overlaid Spaced”.

Thanks for your help!

Hey marcosimonetti!

Unfortunately those are the only two styles offered now, but the output function for that feature could be copied to your child theme for modifications. If you’re interested, the function is located in salient/nectar/helpers/blog.php and is called “nectar_related_post_display”

Cheers

On mobile, I have DROPDOWN as the menu option. However, if someone clicks the menu title, it doesnt do anything. ONLY when they press the arrow to the right of the text. Is there a snippet of code that can make sure the full title also allows for the sub menus to open when clicking on mobile menu and not just by pressing the arrow for dropdown options.

Please advise

Thank You

Hey LilNinjaMedia,

add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

#header-outer #mobile-menu a > .sf-sub-indicator {
  width: 100%;
  text-align: right;
}

Cheers

Hi, hope this finds you well!

I’m using the Easy Table of Contents plugin and want to exclude WooCommerce products from appearing in the auto-generated menu on blog posts. The plugin creator said to add the line below to exclude it from the table of contents:

.ez-toc-exclude-headings

How would I apply it to this H2 class? .woocommerce-loop-product__title

Here’s the comment from the plugin author, in case I’m not making sense: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/suggested-products-appear-in-the-toc/#post-12636166

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You’re welcome lorenwohl :)

This is not specific to Salient, however adding a new class name WooCoomerce product titles could be achieved with the use of a WooCommerce filter. Here’s an example which you can paste into your child theme functions.php:

add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_loop_title_classes', 'custom_woocommerce_product_loop_title_classes' );

function custom_woocommerce_product_loop_title_classes( $class ) {
    if( is_single() ) {
        return 'woocommerce-loop-product__title ez-toc-exclude-headings';
    } else {
        return 'woocommerce-loop-product__title';
    }
}

Cheers

This worked, thank you! I appreciate your help.

You’re welcome lorenwohl :)

Hi, with image gallery module (Nectar slide style) on click we have some functions like maximize. Is possible add a download image icon in this fancybox-toolbar? How? Thanks

Hey CAPBCN,

This would require a javascript modification to salient/js/init.js

Inside that file, run a search for the following code:

$("[data-fancybox]").fancybox({
   animationEffect: "zoom-in-out",
   animationDuration: 350,
   buttons: [
    'fullScreen',
    'zoom',
    'close'
   ],

Inside the buttons array, a new value of “download” can be added.

Cheers
